Hello, I'm trying to use the Multi-Account containers extension to enable me to login to my personal and work gmail accounts in separate containers. I'm clearly doing something very stupid as I just can't get it to work for me.

I have set up two distinct containers, one for each account and tried to log in to each and told the extension to always open each account in their respective containers. Firefox seems unable to remember these choices for the two accounts, however, and tries to open both in the same container, or at least questions the choice I have previously asked it to remember.

Can someone please explain what I'm doing wrong here, and how to make my choices 'stick'?

I have Windows 10 with the latest Firefox update. I have had it set up that when I select +(plus) after the last opened tab, it opens to the search page for the search engine I chose as primary. Now when I do it, the print is faded and I am unable to enter anything in the "search box" gh

With release of the newest version of Firefox, the search function for me has moved from the search bar up to the address bar, even when I try to initiate the search in the search bar.

How can I reset so that I can conduct my searches from the search bar?

I'm aware of the functionality of the address bar, but I simply don't want to conduct my searches there, nor in the additional search bar that can be added to the right of the address bar.

The only solution that I want is to use the search bar that appears beneath the Firefox logo to conduct my searches. Please let me know whether or not that's possible and, if so, how to adjust settings to accomplish this.

With the new update, everything looks different. So is the small search bar in the middle of the page. What I mean is that for a simple search I would type there, not the big address bar at the top. Well, when I start typing, it goes up into the address bar at the top. I got a reply from someone but even the 3 bar at the top right side gives me different menu. How do I get the small search bar working? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Recently, Firefox on Windows has started to add excessive whitespace (or grayspace, I guess I should say!) around the "Show All Bookmarks" item at the bottom of the bookmarks menu, and the "Open All In Tabs" item at the bottom of the submenu for each bookmarks folder.

Is there a preference that reverts this, or does it need something in userChrome.css?

How do I make my browser display go back to the settings that it had on 2 June 2021? I am very unhappy with the last update which customized my browser. The look is awful compared to the last iteration. I was happy with what it looked like before. Whoever thought that the tabs belong at the very top of the page? This update is very aggravating. What do I change it back to what i had yesterday? I'm running Windows 10, and I think I have Firefox Version 89.0. Thank you.

I just want to search without using the stupid tiny tool bar that I cannot see, please give me back the old search method. I have tried the about:config and it does not work. Options no longer exists either in the 3 bar drop down. If this cannot be fixed, it's goodbye Firefox.

Hi Since being updated to Firefox 89 I have a problem with the System theme which supposed to change the color based on Windows 10 color scheme, but instead it looks like the Light theme. I did everything right in Windows's color settings so it must be a bug in the newly updated (Proton) Firefox. Best regards Georges Walther

Without mentioning the visually lackluster update of FF89, how do I go to change the background color of the right click menu and bookmark-folder?

Activating the light theme doesn't help since I want my custom colors on the toolbar/tabs through Firefox Color (https://color.firefox.com/). The color of the aforementioned items reverts immediately back to dark as soon as I pick any color.

Windows 10 Pro, 20H2 (19042.985): Updated to FF 89.0 and found that the color disappeared off my browser Menu and Tab toolbars. I have tried using Windows default AND custom theme colors (using FF Colors). it stays white (or colorless). When I go back to 88.0, it works correctly. Is this a know bug and/or should I be reporting it somewhere?

PS: I sync across PCs. On any of my PCs, updating to 89.0 encountered the same error, so it is not PC specific

How could I get at least the optics of the old one reinstalled? These new themes are awfull and I feel like I'm using chrome. Is there a way to at least use the old theme instead?

The new Firefox update awaited me this morning on my desktop Mac (OS Mojave). Unfortunately for an older person with eyesight that is not as good as it once was, the very low contrast on the tabs makes it very hard to quickly see which ones are up. I've searched but have not found any way to increase that contrast. And, one other thing, the old tabs had a very visible icon for sound (to turn it on or off in the tab). This new one is also very hard to see with less than terrific eyesight. Even just being able to make them a bit bigger would help a lot.

Thanks in advance if there is a way to restore these tabs to the previous version. And, if not, it would be really great if the awesome Firefox developers would keep in mind that some of us don't see all that well and give us some options to adjust for that.

I somehow changed the background color of my browser's page to black and I want to change it back to white. I can't find anything in the settings to do that. Please help.

i hate your new look. the streamline one. i keep closing all the wrong tabs they do not stand out at all. stuff like where to type for search might as well be completly invisable. i want to set it to look normal. like last week when i could see your product. i tried it for 2.5 days and did not get used to it like i hoped i would. now i am just pissed. what do i do to put it back?
