We want to use Firefox on a locked down system where the user will not be able to go to other websites. We looked at using Kiosk mode, but we want to allow tabs. How can we hide the address bar before the browser is opened and without registry changes?

I do not and will not use the sidebar/vertical tabs features.

Unfortunately, it seems that firefox has decided to reactivate these features with an update? This is unacceptable. I do not want my settings to be altered with a software update. If firefox wants to tell me about a new feature, feel free to make a dialogue bubble pop up (once) asking if I'd like to explore said new features. Otherwise, please refrain from altering my preferred configuration without permission or notification. Doing so is completely asinine at best and shows open contempt for your customer base at worst.

I do not wish to give mozilla/firefox another opportunity to make my experience worse, thusly I ask: Is there anyway to entirely remove/disable the sidebar/vertical tabs feature from the browser so that it cannot be reactivated without the specific actions of the user?

On the Save Page As dialog on Linux, how do I edit the choices of where to save?

The stock options are Home, Desktop, Documents, Downloads, Pictures, Videos, and + Other Locations.

I don't use most of these directories, but I do use two dozen others. Navigating to them using Other Locations is painfully slow; it would be ok if I could then save the location I've navigated to, but I haven't found a way to do that, and clicking one path element at a time for 6 element paths over and over gets old quickly.

Typing the path I want either nukes the default filename, or else it tries to match the filename string from the URL in the target directory, which doesn't show me existing directory contents.

Not sure if this is the right area for the toolbar bookmark, but mine since the update now shows a black screen over the list. I have a mac ios system. Can you help me get it back to clear? thank you

Please help me get logged in to my YouTube Premium account on my Firefox browser. For a long time it's been working fine on Firefox n ow today I get some kind of error message when I try to log in.

Firefox no longer opens up an html page when the link is in the email. The link can be opened manually. I have received email notifications that my email program does not handle html content emails. This started a couple of weeks or a month or so ago. I suspected Thunderbird was the problem so I removed it and installed the latest version. No change everything the same. So is the problem in Firefox ? As I installed Firfox with Ubuntu I need to wait on Ubuntu to fix the problem. If I delete Firefox and install directly will I lose all my links etc ? de Barry [email removed]@bigpond.net.au ps could this be related to the well known Telstra fault in bigpond.net.au services ?
