I recently purchased a dell refurbished computer, I set it up went and downloaded fire fox without any trouble. I restarted computer today and it would not accept password I called DiscountcomputerDepot.com help and they helped me to restart and they told me they would have to reinstall windows from computer. So I lost all my programs. when it restarted said would have to update windows. This problem started with an update a couple months ago. Each bar is about 4 pixels wide and appears only on the right, left, and bottom edges of the browser window. They persist when the window is full size or smaller, but disappear on f11. The bars are completely unresponsive. Clicking or resizing the window doesn't seem to work inside of them. Even though the top of the window has no visible bar, there is still an unresponsive region like the other three sides and approximately 4 pixels of empty space.

When it comes to color, the bars spend about 50 percent of the time as white and 50 percent as the same gray that Firefox's dark mode uses. I wasn't able to get a screenshot when the bars were gray, but I was able to screenshot the top right and left corners when the bars were white, which I have attached.

It appears as if there are buttons of some sort poking out on the top right and left corners. If I had to guess, the top right icon looks like the "x" button on a Windows 7 window, and the top left icon looks like the red dot in the uppermost corner of a macOS window. My machine has only ever run Windows 10, and Firefox is the only application that this problem occurs in.

Restarting, using troubleshooting mode, manually removing extensions and themes, messing around with compatibility settings, running as administrator, refreshing Firefox, and reinstalling Firefox have all been unsuccessful. It really is annoying to live with this bug.

When I try to check the box to open previous windows and tabs on startup it won't let me. Why not?

I want to print a page. But without the header and footer stuff (because it is ugly and I don't want others to see the information). There are a lot of old pages here and on other places about how to do this. They are unfortunately all deprecated. What is the way to do this as of 2023? OS is Windows, btw.

Even it could, it only for few minutes and the problems keeps appears. And oddly, If you ignore it for several minutes or an hour, Firefox suddenly can open websites again. This problems keep appears in my 2 laptop. I already try anything including reinstall firefox, and it's just temporal solutions. Can you check what actually happened? Cause this problems not only me but also the other users. I already ask my colleague and my friend, they have same problems, and the solution you give isn't working at all. Thank you.

Anything I open in documents, or pictures If I right click the Firefox Icon in my task bar it shows all recently entered. How do I stop this? I don't want this showing or saved.

When I sign in to a website I check the box saying 'remember this computer' but FF doesn't seem to allow this. I have to go thru the security login every single time, like when signing in to a google account. It works on Chrome but not FF.

This may be related: sometimes the page displayed on FF doesn't function as it should. Example: I was using Quickbooks online and when I clicked the HELP button nothing happened. I thought it was an Intuit problem until I used Chrome and found the HELP button worked.

Hello. I have had Firefox as long as I've had my computer. I was on it today, and BING appears!!! I don't want BING. I really Like Firefox. Can you please help me? I am having this issue where Firefox only keeps "Today's" history. I have thoroughly looked at the community's similar issue fixes.

I do not have Private Browsing on. I have set "Custom Settings History:

 -Remember browsing and download history
 -Remember search and form history

I do not have CC Cleaner or like apps and the one I do is on auto-manual and does not clear FF.

There is no reason for this. I would like to know when answering, what are a couple of likely causes for this. It appears by many queries here and on Google this has been an issue for years and FF seems not to want to fix it or know about it. Your help is appreciated.

When visiting the page for an addon at https://addons.mozilla.org/ , the "Add to Firefox" button, which is normally a nice, dark blue, is a "greyed out" hue of the same blue (see attached image), and my mouse turns into the red circle with a line through indicative of a "Do not go" symbol.

This is thoroughly annoying.

I've gone into my preferences, checked to make sure Firefox is updated properly, I'm signed into the addons page, I even checked to make sure addons were synced in my account but I just cannot get it to work!

Any help would be appreciated.
