My laptop took an update on 2/8/22 and my Firefox stopped working. The toolbars showed up, but nothing in the main window and most sites wouldn't open. I uninstalled and reinstalled. It would work correctly for a couple of sites, but would just stop working. Only the toolbars (bookmarks and search) were on the screen. I removed the app data for Mozilla and uninstalled and re-installed again. It again worked normally, but only for a few minutes. Just toolbars and a white main window. My laptop was running Windows 10 when this happened. I went ahead and installed Windows 11 and did another re-install. Same thing. It worked for a short time and then quit. It doesn't seem to matter if I sign in and sync or not. I hope there's a fix for this. I love my Firefox! I'm using a different computer to send this. It is a Windows 10 machine that has the same update, and Firefox is working fine on this machine.

Hello: Since yesterday (Feb 28), the text of emails to my two gmail accounts are blank. From the inbox, I can see the beginning of the text of the email, but when I open the email, it is blank. I can see the text if I use Chrome or my Samsung cell phone.

I am unsure what to list this under, but since your last update, I am unable to access content in my emails on my gmail account. There is now a pop-up add blocker and I don't know how to change the setting so that I can read my emails. Please help. Please see image below...that is what I get with all emails that I try to open.

whenever I type "maps" and then hit enter it takes me to a maps.com. Is there a way to turn off only this specific suggestion (highlighted in yellow) or change it to google maps?

Firefox was updated recently and apparently it completely wiped out ALL OF MY BOOKMARKS. I need these bookmarks back ASAP for this is a business and this type of error is EXTREMELY unacceptable and costing us money. (This is a Business!!)

BTW - i performed the "restore" steps you advised in your help community but all the backups are from 2019 and further back for some odd reason. And the attempts to restore any previous version comes back simply as "FAILED"

I changed my email address in firefox settings a while ago, had no problems since. But recently wanted to use firefox portable. What happens is, i log in with my (new) email, I get sent an authentication code to the new email, i type it in, then it tries to login with my old email and obviously fails (Incorrect password)

I've also tried using a linux laptop, and i can't login with it either, but it works fine on android and windows. If i try it too many times my account locks, don't know what to do

Hi, i formated my Hard Drive and i performed a clean windows 10 instalation but i forgot to sync my mozilla and i forgot to save my profile, i remeber i synced my mozilla profile a few months ago but it doesent seem to have any bookmarks even the old ones, is there any way i could recover them?

My firefox on my laptop was working just fine until it stopped displaying anything under the search bar. I tried reloading, End Tasking the browser, Refreshing the Install, Uninstall re-install, reboot computer and nothing is letting my laptop firefox display.

it wont even let me access settings or other menu options. It sometimes books up troubleshoot mode but that also has the same issues.

laptop is windows 10 lenovo. firefox is 97.0 64bit version. was working 2 hours ago.....

I have used Firefox on this Windows 10 desktop computer for at least 6 months with no problems. I have it set as my default browser.

When I say it "does not start" I mean the hourglass is shown for a few seconds, then nothing. Task Manager does not show Firefox running.

Since about 5 days ago it will not start when I click its icon on my taskbar or when I click on a link in an email. Both of these used to work. I have also typed Firefox into the Windows search box and clicked the icon then shown, but it does not start.

I have googled the problem and tried a number of things, such as re-installing.

When I do Windows-button & R to get the Run box, enter “firefox.exe -P” and click OK, the profile program does not start.

When I run "Firefox Installer.exe" it goes through process and ends with Firefox open. That is how I was able to get in to get the Troubleshooting Information. However, I do not want to start it this way all the time, and it would not work on links in emails.

I could not find how to add Tags.

I've tried going in safe mode, turning of my Facebook container. Deleting cache. Signing out of Facebook. Also adjusting the backspace key in my Config. Having no problems on my Android phone or when using Opera. It's on on Firefox and on Facebook.

FACEBOOK screen suddenly moves to the bottom of the screen when I am typing a comment. Whenever I hit SHIFT+alpha_letter at the beginning of a line OR simply hit the backspace key, the screen suddenly shifts to the very bottom of the page again even if I have tried to scroll the page back up to the middle of the screen manually. This shifts the entry area where I'm typing down and sometimes off of the visible screen entirely. Just hitting the backspace to correct a typo causes the screen to scroll on its own. I have to scroll back down to the entry box and if I make another typo, it happens again. 

Please help. Been going on for over two weeks. I was hoping the new Firefox update yesterday would help. Nope. Still happening.

How to remove updates firefox 97.0.1 but don't know if this will fix as problem only exists on my GMAIL EMAIL ACCOUNTS. SEE SCREENSHOT. email inbox content not visible they are blank

All my emails are blank. They have s header and who they are from but no text just a blank screen. This is the same for sent and recieved messaged. Really do not know how to fix this

Having the same issue, All emails received on all the email accounts I have on this device (including work email), are blank.. In addition, mails from every other day are also blank.

Only shows sender information, subject, attachment.

If I try to RESPOND or REPLY to email, I can click the three dots below reply and finally see content. Otherwise screen is blank, except for header and subject!!!!

It may have happened upon UPDATES installed 18Feb2022 for firefox 97.0.1 and I woud like to remove but don't see how to anywhere.

I have years of websites saved on pocket, which I paid for. My pocket account has a different email than my firefox account. How do I change my login form pocket to firefox?

I decided to update Firefox around January. It forced what is essentially night-mode on all of my websites (Youtube, Bank sites, google, etc), as seen with the pictures attached. I grabbed the white-backround firefox image from google, and edited in my theme to show what it used to look like. Obviously I didn't want this. In addition, that update essentially wiped all of my saved passwords and information on all of the sites I visit.

Well, knowing I had nothing to loose, I reverted to an earlier firefox update (95.0 I believe) and reinstalled my theme, and begain resaving my passwords. This fixed the issue of having Night-mode on all of my websites. Long behold, another update happened which I did not want and now I'm back to square one.

I assume it's because of the theme I'm using. Here but, I really like the theme and I've been using it for years.

Is there any way to fix the annoying night-mode type of backround? I'm perfectly fine with reverting the updates, but I'd like some way to transfer all of the passwords I have already saved again when I do it. I am also open to making my own theme that doesn't force me to use Night Mode, but I wouldn't even know where to begin. Thanks for any help.

Like the title stated, I am using sync to basically transfer everything from one device to another. I do not need the sync function after this. So how do I disable sync without losing all the data?

I just had to buy a new desktop which is now on Windows 11, I reinstalled everything including Firefox 97 64 bit but the Print dialog is weird and there is no Print Preview, I always Preview before I print.
