The following just started a week or so ago. When I start Windows 11 (latest version), Firefox (build 116.0 64 bit) automatically starts and the page that displays is attempting to access one of my Microsoft accounts. I tried toolkit.winRegisterApplicationRestart. but nothing changed. There is nothing in my Startup folder related to Firefox, and msconfig doesn't list anything as a startup process.

What's strange is that this just started happening. I've used Firefox as long as I can remember, and have never had this issue.

Short of uninstalling Firefox and reinstalling it, does anyone have any suggestion(s)? Thanks.

Hey all, I'm not too sure if this is the right place to ask, since i am on the nightly version, however recently i have tried installing some new extensions. it appears that whenever i close and re- open firefox, the extension is just gone and disabled. when i go back to the store, i have the option to remove it as if its still installed, and my "manage extensions" page shows its installed and enabled, however there is absoloutley no sign of the extension unless i disable and enable it. the two extensions i have installed were both from the official mozilla addons store, one being "dark reader (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/darkreader/) and "Twitter as a Sidebar" (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/twitter-as-a-sidebar/). both of these extensions have the same issue, so its most likely not the extension itself. I am asking here in case its not a nightly bug, and instead something wrong with my browser specifically.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I opened 2 firefox accounts and I only want the account that is tied to [email removed]@republicanmetals.co

Every time I log on a site where I have previously searched something in their search bar, whatever I searched either gets auto-filled (even if I want to search something else) or appears in the bottom of the search bar. They disappear if I clear all my search history but then I have to re-log into every site on my browser.

How can I delete those suggestions/make them not appear anymore without loging out? I have tried checking the autofill settings but everything is password related.

I was using my computer and Firefox all day to watch videos, browse twitter and Tumblr and whatnot until around 15:30 my time, when suddenly Twitter stopped loading my timeline. I thought it was an issue with Twitter or my computer. I restarted my PC twice so far and rebooted my modem (completely unplugged, left it alone for a min and plugged it in again).

I still cant load my twitter timeline, not even in private with all extensions turned off. It does load Tumblr, but like 80% of the pictures/gifs, even profile pictures do not load. When I search for something on Duck Duck Go it sometimes works but most times it just stays blank. Youtube videos either do not load at all, or stop loading/load endlessly at some point. I am still able to navigate the Youtube website tho.

I really do not want to use Chrome, but the latest update is just unusable. Am I the only one?

Hello friends There is a serious problem syncing my Firefox data. After I uninstalled the old firefox and installed the new firefox on the new windows, I logged into my firefox account but none of my old data was transferred. Plugins, bookmarks, passwords, and other previous information usually need to be synced. Please help me to fix the problem and sync my account information in the new firefox.

Note: I have been using this account for several years.

I woke up this morning and realized my youtube wasn't working right. It was loading endlessly and wouldn't play right away when I clicked a video. I thought at first it was a computer issue so I restarted it; but that didn't change anything. Then I thought it was an internet thing, so I switched to my mobile hotspot; but still nothing changed.

I've restarted my computer 3 times, restarted firefox 9 times and done just about everything I could find online. I turned off the recommended hardware settings, went into troubleshoot mode (although I'm not tech savvy so I didn't really understand what to look for), made sure firefox was up to date, cleared my cache and cookies, made sure all my add-ons were up to date; and still nothing.

And it's the same for Twitch. It just loads endlessly and doesn't play anything. It doesn't give me an error or a bug notification; just shows the gracy spinning circle and nothing else.

The only way anything loads is if I turn the quality down to the lowest one possible and have it paused for a minute to let it load on its own.

It works fine in Microsoft Edge; but just not in firefox.

Because numerous things did not work with version 116, I downloaded previous version of the browser and installed it. When it started it said something like "you are trying to use the previous version so some things may not work, would you like to create a new profile?" and there was a choice "yes" or "exit". So I chose "yes" - because how creating a new profile could mean something bad? But it did - it deleted all my bookmarks and settings. I have used mozilla for years, everything was in it. How to restore the bookmarks and everything back? It, by the way, upgraded itself to 116 anyway.

I noticed that a setting on the about:config page was removed: the "security.csp.enable" setting. I was using this setting to disable CSP to be able to load local JS scripts on some non-locally hosted sites, for debugging and development, work related purposes.

Was this setting really removed? Is there a way to disable CSP on Firefox on the latest version?

I am looking for a way to enable Firefox to copy and paste PNG images with transparency. Right now, copy/pasting a transparent image replaces the transparent areas with solid black. This feature works as expected in all other mainstream browsers (it's something I use a lot in my workflow as a graphic designer for a website).

This bug has existed for a while, I'm hoping by now there is at least one extension that fixes it, or some kind of workaround. Thanks to anyone who can help.

I have the browser.urlbar.trimURLs switched to TRUE but still as you can see in the screenshot it shows the complete URL with the protocols. I do not want this, I want it to hide it and only show the main link like youtube.com instead of https://youtube.com

I have a problem with buttons in google docs, buttons works but pictures of buttons are dissipated. I asked about this questions to the community, but nobody could help me. I can't find if I can to get help from technical specialists of mozilla company? Is there only this community? This is really huge problem for me, because I work a lot with google docs and if I don't solve this problem then I'll have to go to another browser, but I don't want to :(

As of this morning, Sat 8-5-23, Outlook mail loads, I see a list of new mail in my inbox, but I'm unable to read any mail, or see any of my drafts. It loads, and works on Bing, and amazingly works ok in Firefox Private Browsing. Win 11 FF 116.0.1

Certain fonts are displayed not as what I set them to in Firefox's settings.

At first, I thought it was a windows OS font related issue- it's not.

I've followed everything here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1323130 (The answer support link is inaccessible. But following the answer did not fix my issue.)

Also looked to see if any of my add-ons are affecting it. I've disabled them on the sites (in the screenshot) but the fonts are still displayed as attached. Checked to see if the add-on uBLOCK is disabling remote fonts, that feature is not checked so that's not the issue.

Running Windows 11 on a Dell XPS 8930. Internet download speed is 100Mb/sec. With every update of Firefox it seems to take longer and longer to launch Firefox and load open windows and tabs. Several minutes of the back and forth ball on each tab. I can launch Chrome and its windows and tabs load almost immediately. What can I do to improve Firefox performance, short of abandoning it?

With the release of the new ESR version, version 115.x.x, the install creates a shortcut in the Windows Start Menu called "Firefox Private Browsing". How can the creation of this shortcut be prevented during install?

According to this support page (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/sync-custom-preferences#), setting ``services.sync.prefs.dangerously_allow_arbitrary`` to True will sync all my preferences.

I have set it to true on the two devices I want to sync (2 desktops, Windows and Ubuntu). However, the preferences are not synced. For example, ``browser.compactmode.show`` keeps its default value "False" on my Ubuntu installation, despite it having the modified value "True" on my Windows installation.

I have tried pressing "Sync now", and restarting the browsers - to no avail.

Could anyone tell me what am I doing wrong?
