I am trying to block out the new little "stick marks" that post while I try to log on to a site that that I need to "google" and log on to. I tried to sign out of all the "outside sites" that want to log on, but there are sites that I need to log on to and have done this in the past. I usually go to these sites because they are important to my transacting business, accessing my bank, places I pay my bills, etc. If I want to get to these and order or pay a bill, I have to unblock each one of them??? How do I do that? If a credit company wants to contact me, they cannot do this even if we have contacted each other previously? Really?

How do I undo this already-marked system and get out of it? As you can guess, I am old and not up with the times. Please simplify your answers so a not-technical person can understand it.

Hi lovely People, I try to setup 2FA on accounts.firefox.com with Authy on Android. In Step 1 the code generated from Authy is accepted.

But then, in step 3, when I try to paste in the just in step 2 provided backup activation code, it tells me it's wrong. Am I stupid? I just copied that key from step 2 ... I tried it many times now. Checked if my clipboard is working as expected, tried to delete the spaces in between... I used FF Standard and FF Developer Edition. My Authy is working elsewhere.

Any help? I searched the Forum, found some relating questions, but they never get answered. No one having the same issue?

After the last upgrade, Firefox no longer saves my password information even thought I always click "Save".

In my Privacy & Security - "Logins and Passwords" settings, I have it checked to autofill. I am not using Private Browsing and the only extension I have is DuckDuckGo. I tried to remove that extension and try again, but it still would not save.

What else to check?

Unable to setup the 2nd factor authentication, I have tried multiple authenticatiors always the same result. "Incorrect two step authentication code"

I have tried with Microsoft auth, Google, and Authy - Same result each time...

In about:config I have set "geo.enabled" to false. -> www.google.com still displays the content in my language, darn.

I went went back to about:config and marked "only show modified preferences" -> to my surprise not only "geo.enabled 1" was displayed but also "permissions.default.geo 2" (though I never touched that one - so I thought they must be linked somehow)

I was curious and reverted "permissions.default.geo" back to default -> now it is set to "0" -> but "geo.enable" is still on "false" (so I am not sure anymore if they are really linked together - which doesnt make sense to me)

Now I don't know if I should leave "permissions.default.geo" on "2" how I found it, or on "0" which is the default. That's why I come here to ask:

==> What are the three states of "permissions.default.geo [0/1/2]" doing and how is it interacting with "geo.enable"?

I use a PIN for my Microsoft laptop and I have forgotten my Microsoft account password. I don't want to change the password as my PC back-ups using Paragon software "might" be tied to my current pin and password.

If I log into my Microsoft account with Firefox, I am prompted for an email address. After entering my address the password is automatically entered by Firefox. Great.

But the login details are not stored under Firefox - Paswords. There is no Microsoft entry in Passwords.

Where might the password it be stored?

Trying to open kossyderrickent.com I was suspicious of its safety. I was offered the option shown in the attachment. Is this legitimate? I am not familiar with the site and I think it may be unsafe. Pls advise.

Zoom.us renewed their DigiCert Global G2 TLS RSA SHA256 2020 CA1 certificate on 03/31/2023 and I now get a persistent error message (Error Code 6: ... certificate is not trusted.

Since then Zoom has not worked for me and their Artificial Intelligence says to open my browser and check my internet connection, time settings, updates, reinstall everything etc. - the usual responses ...

Zoom responds with "Error code: 6" and/or "Error code: 100068000"

 but do not stipulate whether these are Zoom Error codes or certificate error codes.

The Artificial Intelligence insinuation is that FireFox is not trusting this certificate.

Is this something FireFox can help me with? Perhaps, how to make this certificate "trusted"?

Hi, I have a firefox account and I want to login to submit an extension. I am always asked to "Enable two-step authentication", and there is no way to escape it. If I 'cancel setup', the login will be stopped. I do not want to enable that and I do not want to be forced to install any app and I do not want to install "authy desktop" .

I have used that account before, and have submitted some extensions already. I do not know why I have to use two-step authentication.

How could I login then?

My credit union (my only checking/savings account) blocks one page even though I have the pup-up setting set to "always allow." How can I correct this?

Firefox always brings up the saved password for a particular website, but the password is old and wrong. Going to the Logins and Passwords management page, I enter a search for the website as it appears in the address bar, but there is no associated login in Firefox. There is no password associated with any part of the website's name or URL in 'about:logins' . Yet still some password shows up with a saved login. How do I find the password for this website and correct the password?

My Firefox recently updated itself to version 112.0 - since then, when I close all its windows and then run FF again, on all websites opened in tabs (e.g. Facebook, Google Search etc.) I am logged off. In previous FF versions, my logged-in status was preserved between individual FF runs. Firefox not only logs me out of all sites, but also logs me out of the LastPass extension, which also stayed logged in in previous Firefox versions. Anyone knows what is going on? I dont want to have to relogin to all sites each time...

2 Night ago I was on my Facebook page tonight I can not get on it say Firefox did not connect. I don't understand why because I was on 2 night ago and all was good. Firefox says it not a secure site Please help me I would really appreciate. Thank you Penny

Lockwise on My iPhone 13 forgot my login and asked for a password for some reason. As I have turned on 2-step verification it asked for the code from Google Authenticator. However this code was not accepted and I had to use one of my recovery codes. Now I am logged in and would love to disable the 2-step verification, as it does not work, but there is no such option in the app.

I'm enrolled in multiple classes at teachable.com and they both use my email, however, the classes are VERY different and I need two separate passwords. Firefox said NO. Is there a way to have two passwords using the same email address? I did try to log in when I signed up for the second course and it did not recognize my email address. The sign in process for the first site is slightly different and goes through the instructor's site, and then through teachable.com. My password for the first class is stored on Firefox under teachable...and I've emailed myself the password to the second class until I can resolve this. I thought there would be a comment field or something to differentiate the two courses. Please help. Many thanks!

I have recently moved to firefox and wanted to set up an address autofill so I didn't have to type something in everytime but I could only find an autofill for credit cards instead. After some digging I believe the issue is that I am using the en-GB version of firefox as I live in the UK while address autofill is only available on the en-US build. If this is the case is there a workaround so that I can have address autofill and if there is not a workaround does anyone have any idea when this feature is likely to be rolled out to the rest of us. Block autoplay not working on 112.0.2. I've tried going into about:config and changing settings. Doesn't help. Also under "Settings \ Permissions \ Autoplay" shows default for all websites as "Block Audio and Video" and under Websites "About:Welcome" shows as "Allow audio and video." I've changed the About:Welcome to block audio and video. I've also tried clicking the Remove All Websites button to delete the exception. Neither works. I save changes, exit Firefox, and restart. Same settings as before, and autoplay still starts.

Is there any reason firefox would flag an mp4 file legitimately?

• The file extension and file type are absolutely mp4.
• There seem to be no mp4 related zero days.

Does Firefox perhaps just treat all downloads from suspicious domains as malware? Is there a zero day I missed? Is this based on some missing metadata on the file or something?

Minor issue but some help would still be much appreciated here.

On some sites, when I click the login field, Firefox suggests a list of possible identifiers. Among the suggestions there is one that is the true identifier I need to use the others are mis-typos that I probably have typed in error some time in the past.

I want to clean-up that list to keep just the true identifier. How do I do that ?

When I go to Settings > Passwords I only see the true login identifier. The other items in the list of suggestions do not appear. So it seems that it is not there that I must do the cleaning-up …

[I am appending an example with a list of login identifiers that Firefox suggests (the correct identifier is the last in the list) and the information that is stored in Passwords (only the true identifier is listed).]
