I try to install Firefox directly from the Mozilla repository.

For that, I read the article "Install Firefox on Linux" and followed the install instructions in first chapter "Debian-based distributions" step-by-step. (article https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/install-firefox-linux)

Unfortunately, with every attempt to install Firefox, the Firefox LinuxMint (Ubundu) package will be still installed. The command to priorise the Mozilla repository seems to have no influenace.

How can I prevent/avoid using the LinuxMint/Ubundu repository? I wan't to install and update Firefox direct from Mozilla source.

I'm using Linux Mint 22.1 Xia base (Ubuntu 24.04 noble)

The UI font on Firefox UI appears to be corrupted. See screenshots attached.

The app was installed recently and not used much. When I launched it today the font appears like this. No other apps are affected.

I only have a handful of custom fonts and none overwrite any system fonts.

When I press a hotkey that involves Ctrl (ie. opening a new Tab via Ctrl+T or closing one via Ctrl+W) Ctrl sometimes remains stuck until I press it again. This will cause issues ie. when I open a new tab and try to type a new address (or search term), and Ctrl causes new hotkeys to be executed.

I've even tried launching firefox with a new profile, and on safe mode (firefox --safe-mode -p <something-else-than-usual>), so no bookmarks, cookies or extensions should be causing this, and it will still happen sometimes. The annoying part is that this seems to be an issue with performance. It happens less-often with the empty profile and safe mode, but it still happens, especially if I had just opened a new page some tab, causing the most minute thing for firefox to process.

The problem is probably not the computer specs either (below my specs). Indeed, from what I can tell, firefox does not even seem to function particularily slow in any case. Just this ctrl being stuck seems to happen.

I have also tried disabling hardware-acceleration (and explicitly enabling it), no effect.

Other interesting facts I've discovered: - This for sure does not happen in other programs and - This does not happen with the Ctrl for all the keybinds within firefox. For example, Ctrl+A (for select all) does not trigger this

(I have no idea why it's reporting that I'm using Sway, I'm most certainly only using labwc, maybe labwc just reports sway for some programs for compatibility) I've installed firefox from pacman, and my current version is firefox 134.0.1-1

I'm trying to use a script which requires a question mark after the "dot com." I.e., if the url should be http://www.URL.com?custom_URL, it changes it to http://www.URL.com/?custom_URL. How to I keep it from changing the URL - and what is the point of jamming that slash in there in the first place?

This is my second attempt at getting an answer. Can't anyone help me with this?

Hardly any webpages load anymore. Constantly getting error message. Do not get those messages with Microsoft Edge or Chrome. Can't search for financial institutions, car part stores or hardly anything anymore. I don't believe Firefox can be trusted anymore. Is their a Data Breech in progress with them? My company relies on another company for our VM using Amazon Linux 2 and installs Firefox ESR from Amazon Linux 2 extras. We have 115.18.0esr and were getting notifications at the top of Firefox saying this would stop working on 14th March. We got 128.7.0esr but it core dumped on loading even in safe mode and when creating a new profile. So downgraded and then found another coworker faced same issue so go him to also downgrade. I then went to recreate my issue get logs and screenshots to provide to my supplier but 128.7.0esr has disappeared from the amazon linux yum repo and the notification about the need to upgrade before 14th March has also gone and gone from co worker machines. I think it was needed for plugin and cert issues but I am not sure. I realise I should reach out to the supplier for them to then contact Amazon and find out what the issues are from their yum repo and see if it is anything to do with their provided vm. But has anyone got any info on the reason to upgrade from 115.18.0esr so I can add to the issue? I know it's EOL but the message was specific and came from Firefox and links which took you to info about why it was needed but it seems weird the notification has disappeared.

I'm trying to setup a new laptop and when I try to log in I enter my password, I get my email with my 2 factor code, enter it and then it kicks me back to the password screen saying "Incorrect password" . I've reset the password a few times and still get the same behavior. Am I only allowed to have 1 device logged in at once? I know in the past I was able to have multiple computers logged in.

Online purchases only work on about 50% of the websites I buy on. The most recent one was buying a gift card from Whole Foods. This is becoming so ANNOYING; before I finally switch to another browser, does anyone know how to fix this?

1. I have not entry "DisableFirefoxAccounts" in "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Mozilla\Firefox". 2. I have no policies.json file in firefox directory. 3. I have a message "Your browser is being managed by your organization." in "Settings" (about:preferences). 4. In "about:policies" I have DisableFirefoxAccounts=TRUE. 5. in "about:config" identity.fxaccounts.enabled=false and grayed out.

Please help me to turn on the sync of bookmarks. All these listed issues obviously have something to do with it.

Suddenly some UI elements became color-inverted or almost completely black, such as the tab icons in the tab bar, the website icons on the New Tab page and some icons in the settings menu. Also, some websites appear to have this issue, but the Samsung website is the only one I found so far with this issue.

On the same day it happened I switched to an OLED HDR-capable monitor, so I assumed it would be related to HDR, but I played around with some settings and I'm not sure anymore.

What I tried: - hardware acceleration on and off - HDR completely on and off - default light theme and dark theme, no customs themes installed - all extensions disabled (I have no extensions that would influence graphics or colors anyways) - latest update already installed - nothing else changed in the Nvidia control panel as far as I remember

None of the above helped. Any advice on this is appreciated. Attaching some pictures with the issue. Using Windows 11.

So basically, I'm trying to add a 2FA code, homever when I scanned the code using google authenticator, everything went normal. Homever, when I try to put in the code, firefox only lets me put 5 digits but not 6. Any solutions?
