So, after using firefox in the background to browse websites or watch videos I checked my memory usage in firefox with about:memory -> Measure and saw that youtube was consuming a decent amount >2GB (checked the main url when clicking the youtube src, it was the video on that sole tab i was watching and nothing else playing youtube in the bg) so i closed that tab, waited a bit and re-measured but then see that the memory usage for youtube rose about 200MB... and the website for youtube is that same url for the tab that i just closed (when checking the src in the results for Measure). I've been revisiting the about:memory page, reloaded it and re-Measured and youtube is STILL THERE. Even now, 10 minutes later i still see youtube there, with none of my tabs running youtube.

If i close firefox entirely and re-open my tabs then it'll very likely fix it but this has to be a major issue no? I shouldn't have to close the entire browser program just to fix a website visit, which is youtube of all websites.

As of this moment, firefox, with 8 tabs open, is consuming 4,452.99MB (~4.5GB) where 2.5GB is youtube for that page i closed.

I don't know if sharing memory reports from the about:memory page give my cookies away or leave me open to a similar vulnerability so I won't share it unless a dev or similar asks for it but for now, I've included an image showing all the tabs i have open on firefox, 2 windows.

Good day, I don't know if this is related to the latest version of Firefox that was installed within a few days. When I'm in a "reel" and I click on either the face or the arrow in the circle, nothing happens. Other times when i'm at an item, the same thing happens. I've rebooted my system: Mac Mini (running Ventura 13.7, 3.6 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i3, 8 GB 2667 MHz DDR4 memory). Firefox V: 147.0.1 I've swapped my mouse with another known to work, with the same problem.

Tonight I ran Facebook on my iPad (V: 18.7.2 - 7th gen.) and everything worked.

Could the updated Firefox have a problem?

IN RECENT WEEKS Firefox often crashes or freezes and then text box says "sorry..." So is it just my machine? i can't find help on this. it offers to close or restart and says it sends a report to you. also for some reason the ff logo on the taskbar duplicates when i connect to it, so that there are two logo icons. this is not usual. thanks, bill

Hi, I am reporting that videos on Ebay do not play correctly when using Firefox. I am a business seller on ebay and have just spent £900 on a professional product video for our 1000s of listings. I have used Firefox as my browser for many years. However I have discovered that when viewing product videos on ebay on a laptop/desktop, the videos are significantly reduced in size for 3 or 4 seconds with part of a dialogue box showing and then suddenly increases in size (still not full size though). Very unprofessional looking, very glitchy, very ugly. It would discourage sales rather than encourage them. Please investigate and fix asap. You know what, I am going to stop using Mozilla Firefox as my default browser, for, it does NOT seem they listen. It is very frustrating and time-consuming NOT having in Edit, on the pages of Firefox, the ability to CAPITALISE (UPPERCASE) word, or words. It seems to me that Firefox does NOT recognise the importance of this, or they just don't give a damn.

when I try to open Firefox I get the following message ERROR platform version '130.01 is not compatible with mini version 130.00 max version 130.00

This leaves me with 3 questions: 1. Am I supposed to know what this message in computer talk means, 2. Am I supposed to know how to restore Firefox to my computer, 3. Does this impossible to solve problem happen on Chrome

Opened Firefox browser and it defaulted to "New Firefox" browser that said I could stop other sites from tracking me through cookies which provide greater privacy. I downloaded the new Firefox browser and now any attachments or links in emails crash. Was this a bad site?? Need help fast!

For the past two weeks, I have been unable to get to many usual web sites. Just now, it does not connect to my bank, although it did earlier. I cannot get my morning newspaper because it doesn't connect. My work flow is disruptive because I cannot access my usual websites in a timely manner. A few weeks ago, this never happened. What is wrong?

How do you set up two separate bookmark files? I want to be able to use separate bookmark files for two different people using the same PC and be able to switch between them depending who is using the PC.

Hello Mozilla Family and Forum Members. It uses a long amount of Mozilla developer edition and it does not show the distance between two divs. How can I turn this on?

Need access to Motley Fool site to appear completely on screen instead of having a partial screen showing some Motley Fool signs but not being able to utilize normal activity. Had no trouble for many months of subscription getting access to the site and being able to read any articles I want. I have contacted Motley Fool several times and we have tried many things to solve problem but had no problem solving results.

Since my Firefox updated today (v132.0), sometimes when I swap tabs I get this grey bar appear for a split second at the bottom of the tab. This isn't super consistent, and seems to only happen when swapping from the New Tab page to some websites, such as Twitter and my email, but not others. I've tried disabling extensions to no avail.

Any ideas on the cause of this/how to fix?
