Hi, I notice today that Firefox takes a really long time (~30s) to start. The main Firefox frame opens, totally empty, no tabs, nothing... and ~30s after, it starts.

I also notice that it is linked whith the VPN. When the VPN is active : long time, when the VPN is paused, normal start.

I have two computers, same reaction ! The first computer is used every day, so I have the problem on this one since the last update (I suppose).

The second computer has not been used for a week. I started the second computer today , I checked the VPN is active, I notice the first use of Firefox (which was still v148...) was as fast as usual, then Firefox automatically updets to 149.. and restart, and then, same behavior : long time as start.

I tried to go back to version 148, without any better results.

Can you help me please?

Two computer are in W11 up to date, and the VPN is NorthVPN up to date

Takes up to 30 minutes to sign in to my online banking account. Sign in with user id and password, get a "swirlly" for a long time, little messages at the left bottom of screen, when the screen finally appears, the graphics display as place hold words which make no sense. Contacted AllegacyFCU and they say it's on your side . . . recommend Chrome? I'm running Win 11Pro. Edge goes right in.

Simple: just wanting to forward a news article to a friend, but I have to go through all this mess first !! I am running out of time, and may just quit. So frustrating.

Lately I can not click all of my browser tabs, only some of them unless I do not have the browser maximized on the screen. If I make is smaller then I can click all of the tabs. Since the recent Firefox update I can't find a hardware acceleration setting to toggle off to see if it helps.

I am on arch linux, Wayland KDE Plasma. KDE Plasma Version: 6.6.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.24.0 Qt Version: 6.10.2 Kernel Version: 6.19.9-arch1-1 (64-bit) I then ran firefox (Both Flatpak and Pacman fail ), and no matter what (MOZ_ENABLE_WAYLAND on or off) when in pointer lock, the high polling rate mouse was significantly slower than the lower polling rate touchpad. I would like to setup Firefox so it checks for updates and installs them during maintenance windows (overnight) and runs the updates as 'system' account. This is how Chrome and Edge handle updates.

I tried using the following GPO settings

Application Autoupdate Enabled Background updater Enabled Disable Firefox Studies Enabled Disable Telemetry Enabled Disable Update Disabled Don't Check Default Browser Enabled

This seems to create Schedule tasks in Windows task scheduler, but the tasks are running as previously logged on user accounts. which doesn't help us in this particular environment.

I know we can manually push out the latest version via creating new MCM application pushes but the amount of updates that are coming down is a labor intensive exercise and we don't have the budget for PatchMyPC

Please post any thoughts!

I've used Firefox for 10-15 years but recently it started not opening some web pages on corporate websites, which I assumed was a problem with the site. When I told my techs, they tried the sites from other browsers they use and it was working fine. So I tried from my laptop (it's 4 months old, Windows 11) using MS Edge and no problem, previously blocked sites now working. I've scanned Firefox settings but can't resolve. Any suggestions?

I tried everything I could find and still no luck. Read firefox stores 15 prior session setting to restore from and they are nowhere to be found. I'm at a lose on how to move forward. First firefox did it and was able to recover a couple of weeks ago, now windows update did it!

Ok, so I dont use my computer that much, but anyway. I get on it today and this "create a profile" pops up. once I get in to firefox Everything is gone, my history, passwords, bookmarks, addons.

WTF happened???????
