i run Firefox on Win11. When i go to a website, and open several tabs, e.g., 10 or more, firefox just sits there and no longer works on that site. Basically Firefox is becoming quite worthless as a browser for me. The reason i use it are the extensions. This is something that has happened within the last 6 to 9months or so. What is going on. Is there now some limitation of how many tabs you can open? The site with this problem is: https://www.bellazon.com/main

Anyone got any ideas as to what is going on here?

I give up. All I want to do is to go to the selected web site. Now different profile. Passwords don't work. Too frustrating. I had to switch to edge because I just could not figure out why I was getting jerked around.

i have no sound in firefox ,while other applications and edge or chrome give me normal sound.It ia no muted ,checked the volume mixer everything should be working but no sound

Is there a way to set a default webcam so website gets access to the not-first-camera by default?

Firefox will ask me if I want to allow a website to access my webcam - I do want the website to access my webcam. But when I choose the correct camera (3rd on the drop-down) and click allow, it just prompts me repeatedly (usually 2-3 times per session, every time I visit the page) if I want to use the camera & have to repeatedly select the 3rd camera on the list. If I check the box to "always allow" then firefox defaults to the first camera on the list, which is a view of my desktop, not actually my webcam (because that's what the first camera in the list is used for - displaying my desktop).

What I want is to set a specific camera to always be allowed on a website, but NEVER let the website have access to the other 4 cameras in the drop-down list. I'd even be okay permanently disabling those 4 cameras from Firefox because I only use them with other applications. I only want firefox to ever use the 3rd camera in the list exclusively, but there doesn't seem to be a way to do that.

Yesterday, I lost most of my bookmarks in several Bookmarks folders. These are critical to my work with several non-profit organizations. All efforts to follow Mozilla's troubleshooting advice and use the Manage Bookmarks functions to restore or import backups in my Profiles folders are met with the "Unable to process the backup file." message. I have a number of backups available, any of which could potentially resolve this issue, but nothing I have tried is working. Please help! Thanks, Shack

Bookmarks seem to be missing from Firefox. I followed the advice up to part 2. That got rid of the error message but only a few Bookmarks were there. Is there any way I can get the rest of them back?

certain web sites are not available on my PC via firefox browser. Have to switch to Edge to access. Have had this happen a number of times for different websites but was amazed that couldn't access social security admin (ssa.gov). Received this error message:

Bad Request

Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand. Size of a request header field exceeds server limit.

Since my credit union merged, firefox will not remember my sign in credentials. Edge browser does. Firefox remembers all others. The new credit union merger is Peak, Was NWCCU.

Lately when I reconnect to my Mac laptop after a period of sleep, the Firefox browser windows are unresponsive. It seems to be receiving input but does not update the display. I have to quit and reopen Firefox to get it to work again. The menu works, I am able to quit, so it's not like the whole app is frozen. Plus, if I clicked on the "new tab" icon while it was unresponsive, those new tabs show up open after I quit and reopen the browser.

I've imported my boockmarks as an HTML file from my windows10 PC to my new Windows11 PC. they are in a folder marked bookmarks Toolbar, but they aren't on it. How do I get them onto the toobar?

I am unable to find an answer (hours on the Internet) to this specific problem that has appeared out of nowhere:

Under File in the Menu Bar the "Email Link..." does not work anymore. If I want to send a thing I'm looking at to my Thunderbird email (and which I use Hover), most often is a You Tube video. But I do this for other things I start reading, but I don't have time for. This has worked for a very long time. It was always so easy. Now when I click on Email Link all I get is a blue circle-I think it rotates sometimes. It disappears in a second or less. I get nothing.

I do have Windows 11 and up-to-date Firefox. I am fairly sure it continued to work after I got a new computer Nov. 4th with W11 on it. I believe I lost this function within the last 6-8 weeks. Maybe with the new computer, but I don't think so. I'd appreciate it if someone might have a fix or idea about this. I admit my intelligence is not up to the task!

I have had a problem with printing of an app's full page. It will print all the pages but will not print some of the content. This has happened with a printer command and print screen. I've researched the problem through the online app's help page but was told I should switch to another browser. I didn't have this problem a couple of months back but suddenly have the problem with two different company app's. Any help would be appreciated.

Firefox is set to restore the session on launch, and that used to work flawlessly. I have two monitors and a couple weeks ago I installed Windows 11, after that Firefox still worked properly. But since I've had issues with the DisplayPort connection for the primary monitor being unstable, this weekend I swapped it to HDMI, reset the primary/secondary monitor settings in WIndows accordingly, and now Firefox won't open its windows on the primary monitor on first launch after windows loads.

I've got three window at the moment, with multiple open tabs in each. Two windows are supposed to on the primary monitor, and one on the secondary, but now Firefox will send all three windows to the secondary monitor. So I move the two windows to the primary monitor, exit Firefox gracefully, give it a moment to shut down properly, restart Firefox, and all the windows are where I left them.

Then when I restart the computer, Firefox shoves all the windows onto the seconday monitor again.

The primary monitor always come on first, and I alway wait to login to windows till both monitors are awake, so it's not like the one monitor is missing. I also have MonitorKeeper (https://github.com/hunkydoryrepair/MonitorKeeper/) which normally works for keeping the windows on the right monitor, but it doesn't work when Firefox launches the windows on the wrong monitor.

All other programs have no problems like this and open where I left them. It only seems to be the Firefox restore session that somehow fails to put the windows in place on first launch of the day.

i am trying to type this message on firefox, but i have to avoid shift key not to interrupt typing. when i hot shift+some other keys like i, b, v, etc, devtools pop up. i have checked other forums, other q&a on firefox support, and concluded that the same issue have occurred to many users regardless of the os, features, extensions, various keyboards (but not the virtual one for me) or system settings. i have to type a lot in the browser, so i just choose to delete firefox until someday the issue is fixed.

I HAVE NOTICED ON START UP, MY ACCOUNT NAE HAS A YELLOW FLAG TOP RIGHT PROFILES, AND A WHITE FLOWER. MY BOOKMARKS DISAPPEAR UNTIL I PICK A PROFILE AND ALL THREE SHOW UP AT SME. TIM ON MAC DOCK!!!! I TRIED TO DELETE THE EXTRA PROFILEES 9"TEST 1, TEST 2, AND MAC 13) BUT IT WON'T LET ME AND IT MAKES MY BOOKMARKS DISAPPEAR AND SIGN IN YET AGAIN!! HOW DO I GET RID OF THESE EXTRA PROFILES, WHEN THEY WON'T DELETE UNDER "TRIPLE LINES IN TOP RIGHT SCREEN/CLICK ON PROFILE/MANAGE PROFILES/.pictture icons appear of ea. look like large flowers....I press delete on any of them and I get a black screen (removes me fom even the correct profilee I was using)!!!!
