Could you kindly advise? WashingtonPost.com does NOT ask to accept cookies even after I deleted all cookies, website data and cache (but in Opera it does ask for cookies), after Firefox automatically deleting cookies and website data after closing Firefox, and after cleaning cookies, website data and cache with Ccleaner — WHY? Which mechanism of Firefox is exploited by WashingtonPost.com? And what should I do? Thank you!

Hello, I hope your day is going well! (^_^) I highly dislike quite a few of the settings on firefox, especially considering they're turned on by default. The setting I abhor is the experiment setting because mozilla is quite literally experimenting on myself and other users. You may have a different perspective on the matter but I find it disgusting that there's nothing overtly telling you that your instance of firefox is different than other peoples just so they can run experiments (technically, on YOU) but I digress. I noticed the experiment option was turned on after I thought I had turned it off. Since I turned it off, I've had to update firefox every time I start it. I happened to look at the settings and noticed that the experiment option was turned back on without my consent or knowledge. After turning it off again, firefox updated once again and guess what, the experiment setting was turned back on. Why is that and how can I prevent that from happening in the future because, again, that's a disgusting practice in my eyes.

After Ubuntu updated the GPU driver, Firefox stopped rendering and only works when disabling hardware acceleration. See screenshot attached. I'm using ubuntu/ RTX4090 and nvidia-driver-535 (propietary, tested). Attaching the apt upgrade logs that caused this to happen. Firefox is the only application that suffers from this.

Is there any fix happening soon for this?

When I scroll text for some reason, Firefox stopping scrolling very slow. It's almost take up to 2 seconds. Very annoying smoothest. I have stopped scrolling already but Firefox still scrolling and finally very slow stop it. I can't focus on the text because it's still slows down the scrolling.

How to fix that!?

On my Windows-11 Laptop, the Vertical-Scroll-Bars in Firefox are too narrow for me to use comfortably. I am struggling with the Touch-Pad, Mouse Pointers, causing the frequently needed act of Scrolling to become a dreaded ordeal? If someone would provide clear and concise instruction on how to make the Vertical-Scroll-Bars the Classic Width of old, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! lg

I'm using the current version of Firefox 124.0.1 (64-bit). I recently noticed that when I print -- there's no webpage title or URL address with date on the bottom even when I have checked and selected print headers/footers before printing. Is this a bug? Can you please help me? Thank you.

Since the last Firefox update I cannot access my banking web site. I access this site almost daily. It is Regions Online Banking. It will not accept my username either by copy and paste or by typing it in. By not accepting it I mean the login space remains blank. I disconnected from my VPN, no change. I was able to access the site normally using MS Edge.

I am running Windows 11, 64-bit.

Any help would be appreciated.

I deleted the site cookies and disabled tracking protection with no success, however, I was able to login in trouble shooting mode. I went back to normal mode but was still unable to login. Is there anything I can do to correct the problem?

Reply to zeroknight. Disabling the extensions did the trick. I only have five extensions so I'll just go through them one at a time until I find the culprit.

I don't know if that was supposed to look like, but when rendering MathML in Firefox 124.0.1 when one uses "mtable" element the browser adds very huge gaps around.

A few weeks ago I saw an Mozilla ad for a new Mozilla software product that cleaned up your PC and made it run better. The price was around $125.00 (I don't remember that exact price). It said that I would receive an email from Mozilla with download instructions. it's been a few weeks and I have not gotten any email. Does anyone know if Mozilla offers any such software or did I get scammed? I'm pretty good about seeing scams but Ive used Firefox and Mozilla for years and trust them. Maybe that's why I wasn't as careful as I should have been.

In the appdata\roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xyz\storage\archives folder there are 2 folders, \0 and \default. They contain over 500MB between them and are not cleared out by removing all website data (it did clear out Storage/Default). Can the content of these 2 folders be deleted? The \0 folder contains 30 folders with dates for the folder name ranging from 2022-01-16 to 2023-10-26 for a total of 115 MB. The \default folder contains over 1000 folders dated from today back to 2017 for a total of 475 MB. The names of the folders in \default are variations of websites visited and pages I have saved elsewhere (https++++www.xyz.com and file++++c++doc+ etc.)

I have been using Windows 10 with Firefox browser and Google/Gmail for many months. I also have been using Norton 360 and other Norton programs for many years. A few days ago, I updated Norton Utilities Ultimate and after update ran it for standard options. Before that update, I could start Google and still be signed in and start Gmail and still be signed in. Now, whenever I close Gmail or Google, I have to sign in whenever I start Google/Gmail. I tried to get help from Norton (see attached chat printout), but they said it was not a Norton problem and to contact Google. When I researched the problem with Google, it indicated that the problem was related to cookies but did not help correct it. I tried Firefox Help and could not find any useful information. I then changed to Google Chrome browser; that works and I can start and stop Google and Gmail and remain signed in. If I go back to Firefox, I still have to sign in every time I start Google. On Mac OS 14.4 Firefox hangs on launch and crashes, requiring "Force Quit" when I try to Refresh or Troubleshoot. Uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, and restarted computer several times. Have spent several hours trying multiple community suggestions to now avail.

I am not a programmer, but am able to follow instructions. I clearly need someone to hold my hand and walk me through the solution. (I even checked out the Kaspersky suggestion, but cannot install it because Firefox cannot connect to the Internet.)

I have downloaded and saved "Raw Data.docx" and "Application Basics tex.docx" from one of the crash reports.

P.S. On this question form Firefox guessed that my operation system was Mac OS x 10_15_7, but it is 14.4

I used to be able to access all bookmarks from the Library icon on the address toolbar. Now, it only shows a list of what it labels "recent bookmarks" (the bookmarks shown are really not recent). I would like to be able to open the Library and access all bookmarks, which is the way it used to work. I will attach a screen shot to illustrate what I mean.

Hey, I have no idea what information to provide, thing is just that my mozzila always gets extremely slow {literally unusable} after being open for cca 10 minutes. I work in the browser so first ten minutes are fine and then it just freezes so much that I have to restart computer for it to work normally again - for another ten minutes. It is extremely frustrating, other browsers dont use it and I love mozilla and dont wanna put it aside. Anyone has idea? It is not hardware related, my hardware is absolutely fine, it is also not viruses related, pc is clean, any idea what could cause this? Or what could solve this? If u need some more information, I can provide, but I have no idea what could help to provide...
