When I select a link in an email, it opens op Edge, rather than Firefox. This just started happening today. I have followed multiple options for making Firefox my default Browser, but nothing seems to work. I am using Windows 11 Home Addition. Thank You!

While trying to add my existing bookmarks (from previous computer) I get message - SSL_ERROR_INTERNAL_ERROR_ALERT

Please tell me what to do. I cannot find any reference to this message.

I have used Mozilla and Firefox for over 20 years now and thoroughly enjoyed it - but have never had and problems of this nature.

I've been having this problem for some time, and it's honestly annoying me so much that I'm ready to pitch Firefox and badmouth it all over the Internet. Every single time I attempt to access the File Save or Open dialogues boxes from Firefox, as is necessary when uploading or downloading and image file, Windows Explorer (Windows 11) crashes.

There is no evidence of this in the system logs, but it's obvious that Explorer is crashing and relaunching, as evidenced by the disappearance and reappearance of the Taskbar, during which Firefox becomes completely unresponsive. This is dramatically slowing down my workflow to the point where it makes Firefox frankly unusable for most daily tasks.

The problem still exists when I remove all extensions from Firefox. The problem still exists when I restart the machine. The problem does *not* exist when I start Firefox in Safe Mode, but this is obviously not a workable solution. The problem does *not* occur with any other software, only Firefox. I am running Firefox 122.0 (64-bit) on Windows 11 Professional 22H2 Build 22621.3007, but the problem has been occurring for a long time, months. The system is a Gigabyte Z690 UD AX with an Intel Core i5-12600K, 32 GB DDR5 PC4800 RAM, and a Samsung 980 Pro 500 GB NVMe SSD.

Firefox doesn't seem to have a built-in feature for listing the contents of each container tab in Firefox one at a time. That is, I would like to have only the contents of one tab container shown on my browser at a time, and be able to switch from one container to another freely. What is the use of containers if all their contents are displayed at once on the tabs of my browser?

Have used online banking with Santander for some time but am now experiencing problems logging on. Getting message https://retail.santander.co.uk/ErrorPages/500.htm Rang Santander and they suggest it is a browser problem. Have tried a number of things but problem persist

Despite reading almost 100 questions about this exact issue asked for years, there still seems to be no answer, and no fix to get this function to work properly.

Checking the box should completely remove the drop box for location, and the entire point is that it should ask you where to save every file,instead of defaulting.

I recently got a new computer (HP Dragonfly) and set Firefox as my default browser but when I click on a link from Outlook it opens in Edge. I'm using Windows11. I have: 1) Confirmed in Firefox settings that Firefox is the default 2) Confirmed in Edge settings that Edge is not the default browser 3) Confirmed in Windows default settings that Firefox is the default browser 4) Ensured in Outlook-Options-Advanced that "Open Hyperlinks in from Outlook" is set to "Default Browser" 5) Uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. Also restarted my computer several times And yet, clicking on links from Outlook continues to open Edge. Please help I really don't like Edge!

In Firefox 122.0 for Windows 11, I'd like to have "Ask to save passwords" turned OFF but "Fill usernames and passwords automatically" turned ON so that the latter feature works as intended, while Firefox does not prompt me to save passwords. Is this possible with a config setting or otherwise?

Why does Firefox hang when using wetranfer.com for large files? What? You don't want to get along with everybody?

Hello, On firefox 121, I'm able to launch URIs with arguments just fine. However on firefox 122, this isn't the case, and it does not understand the URI at all. Same URI btw.

previous version of firefox , open with option work perfectly. But latest update , it won't work anymore such as potplayer://url... i don't know why but this is working perfectly on other browsers such as chrome...

NOTICE: Currently using Firefox 120.0.1 "Update disabled by your system administrator" I am unable to update the browser, the computers are from the public library.

Like I state in the Subject, I configure the browser to strict privacy level, and I am able to visit any site I want. No problem. But on all of these, when I click the lock icon on the address bar I read "Connection verified by a certificate issuer that is not recognized by Mozilla." In fact, right now, I am visiting this website and I got that notice. Then, after I logged out, the "Clear cookies and site data" link that appears after clicking the lock icon I mentioned before do not appear.

So more than one question:

I read other posts where users are unable to visit a website which has a certificate issued by an issuer that is not recognized by Mozilla. Why am I able to visit these websites?

What can I expect of the non appearing "Clear cookies and site data" link I described before?

Are these computers like totally hacked?

Hello there. Some months back Firefox decided to block my Dragon NaturallySpeaking extension. This extension is needed so that I can properly control my browser using speech as I have severe repetitive strain injury through typing. The explanation given is that the extension violates some privacy rules that Firefox have put into place.

Whilst I fully appreciate how Firefox is looking out for us, I am really puzzled as to why I do not have the option to say that I am not concerned about this issue and want to continue using the extension. The Dragon NaturallySpeaking software costs several hundred pounds, and it has now been rendered much less effective, which prevents me from working properly in my browser.

I have of course contacted Dragon NaturallySpeaking who just said that they were looking into it, but nothing has been done (presumably I am running a version that they no longer actively support).

Could you please explain to me why it is not possible to allow the users to make an informed decision about whether or not to continue to use an extension? I find it very hard to believe that an extension which is well established as the leading speech recognition software is a serious threat to me?

I would like to select and delete a subset of user names and passwords in Firefox. I have a group of about 80 logins for an old account which I no longer use. I know I can delete individual logins one at a time but doing this 80 times is a pain!

I can search for the particular account in the password list and Firefox lists them all, which is great. What I would like to do then is right click and select all followed by delete.

Is there a shortcut somewhere?

For some reason I updated to win 11 and now Firefox won't let me login to mercadolibre, it will display the login screen, take my username, send me to the password window, enter my password but won't go anywhere from there. The curious thing is that Edge will log me in without any issue and if I do the same thing with Firefox using a private windows it will let me login but Mercadolibre will always ask me to scan a code with my phone which makes the process longer and tedious.

I cleared all the cookies from my system to no avail.

I thought I had two different accounts. Home, with my personal email and work, with my work email. My work computer crashed a few months ago, and out IT department was able to recover all my bookmarks, but it wasn't easy, so I was told. I decided to do what I do at home and that was to create an account for work, which I did. I now have an account for home with it's own bookmarks, and email, and a work account with it's own bookmarks and totally different email. I recently got a work phone. In the process of setting it up I synced it up with my work account. when I came home tonight I got online and all my work bookmarks were on my home computer. How did this happen? Now I don't have my home bookmarks. I tried signing out and signing back in with my home account, but no luck. This is very frustrating especially since they are two totally different accounts. SO, how do I get my home bookmarks back on my home computer? Thanks
