I find the "Home Screen Shortcuts" feature very helpful, but I cannot find a way to have the same shortcuts synchronized between my devices (laptop,desktop,mobile). It'd be nice that the "Sync now" future pulls our saved shortcuts from our home screen to avoid having to adding them all over again whenever we log into a new device.

OS: W11 FF version: 104.2

I used Firefox Sync in order to fix a corrupted Firefox profile, and now want to delete the sync data from Mozilla's servers (as it's no longer needed). However, I would like to keep my account on Firefox Accounts. What's the best way to ensure this?

Approaches I think *might* work:

- Change my registered email address, delete my account, create a new account with the original email - Reset my password (causing sync data to be deleted)

The first one seems more thorough, but perhaps a little *too* thorough. :-) But the second is only implied to work, not stated outright. Thoughts?

1 day ago my old ssd die forever with all data, I managed to save some files But for firefox browser I didn't save anything, because my account is sync everyday

When i login to new browser, i enter account, password and wait for sync to recovery history, bookmark, etc 2 days have already passed and I have not recovered anything, as if nothing was ever saved I try contact firefox stuff to give me my last data save on his server but I don't know how to contact them, I had some links that I need and I can't find them anymore

Can you get some information on how to contract them to fix the problem Any kind of information helps me, I searched on google but I don't know what to do anymore Thx

May be similar to FireFox is schizophrenic I'm in the US, All software and FireFox settings have and I've crosschecked to be English. I do have both keyboards loaded on my Android, and confirmed that I am and was on the English keyboard when I logged into the account

Hi, the problem is as follows. After reinstalling Windows, I reinstalled the browser and as soon as I logged in, it could not synchronize my tabs from the account and important information disappeared. Is it possible to restore the tabs from a week ago?

I synced forefox data with my email account and when I restore my phone and again sign in error coming ? I also did this on pc but no bookmarks that got synced came and all my storage sites passwords are gone!! what should I do now?

My husband was a long-time Firefox user and recently passed away. I am the sole beneficiary and executor of his estate and provide a copy of the will and death certificate if necessary. The issue here, is unlike me, I cannot find the Firefox account to sync his passwords to my machine. I do have access to his machine and could open each web site and copy the information to a spread sheet if necessary - but obviously not a great workaround. So is there any way to gain access to that password.

Now for the obvious question - it's just a matter of equipment: he used a trackball, I prefer my mouse and I am considerably more comfortable with the keyboard on my machine.

Any help you can offer would be very helpful!

Howdy, I just need to sync Firefox on my iMac and on my MacBook Pro. But this is surprisingly difficult to do. [[this page|https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-set-sync-my-computer]] says to "click the 'Sign In' button next to 'Sync and save data'". It shows a handy little screenshot of a Sign In button, but I cannot see said button or the Sync and save data button even though I'm signed in to Firefox. This page gives me a handy QR code to sync Firefox on my mobile device, but I want to sync Firefox on my laptop. This page [[about:preferences#searchResults]] ] says "Sorry! There are no results in Settings for 'sync'". (Why ever not?)

It seems it should be very easy to sync Firefox between two computers; indeed it should be blindingly obvious, but it's not. What am I missing here? Thanks in advance for your help.

For some reason my desktop browser version of firefox does not sync passwords with my mobile and other versions of firefox. There are NO passwords saved on my desktop version, and when I try to sync my mobile phone to my desktop there is a permanent error. I have downloaded about sync and it also shows multiple errors with my Sync.

I recently switched to Firefox from Chrome. I imported all the bookmarks and passwords from Chrome into Firefox on Windows.

Next, I installed it on Linux and later on Android. The sync is not working properly that is what I noticed. Basically I have all the data on my Windows PC Firefox. It is not syncing between other devices, that will be my notebook running Linux and my Android Phone.

I read other similar question son the forum and did a Google search as well. I already did re-install a few times to no avail.

I want to sync Firefox on my old laptop with my new laptop, but when I select Sync another device the only option is to sync a phone or tablet. How do I sync my other laptop?

This is the message when the sync between devices failed. Wrong state for fxaccounts:pair_supplicant_metadata. Valid expected states: PendingConfirmations, PendingLocalConfirmation. Current state: Errored.

I would like to set up different profiles for different purposes. I tried creating a new profile with the profile manager. When I opened the new profile in a new window, it asked me to sign in. After signing in, it synced all my bookmarks and settings from the default profile.

I then tried to edit the new profile by deleting the bookmarks that I don't need it to have. But this was then instantly synced to my default profile and I lost those bookmarks entirely.

So, I don't understand how to make separate profiles that have separate settings and bookmarks and whatnot. I would like to have different profiles that are all attached to the same account and can be used on multiple devices, but i don't want them to sync with one another. That seems to completely defeat the purpose of having multiple profiles (they all end up exactly the same).

I tried to get around this problem by creating an entirely new Firefox account, but then I get a message saying it will merge it's info with the account I just logged out of. This behavior makes no sense. Lets assume I have more than one user on a machine, and they each have their own account. If one logs off, and the other comes and logs in, now all their info gets lumped together?

I also tried to have two Firefox windows open, with one signed in and one not, but they mirror each other. So I can't work in multiple profiles or accounts on the same machine at the same time.

Back to the main question. I assume I am just using profiles wrong. How do I set it up so different profiles DO NOT sync with one another, but only with themselves across multiple devices.

Hi there, I have an old laptop which has FireFox installed on it with a lot of older Browsing History dated as far back as 2015 or 2016 which I've been attempting to transfer over to my newer Laptop's FireFox by synchronizing my FireFox account on both browsers. The bookmarks & tabs were synchronized between both, however, the browsing history from the older laptop doesn't transfer over to my newer laptop's Firefox.

I searched online for some troubleshooting, & discovered how to use about:config, where I found

1. "places.history.expiration.transient_current_max_pages'" &
2. "places.history.expiration.max_pages",

& for both I set the value to 999999. The result was the same.

I would like to inquire for assistance regarding this, if possible. Thank you!

Some of the Extensions are not Syncing. I have the same version of the Browser on both devices. The Extensions are updated on both devices. I have logged out and in. I have disabled and enabled back the syncing of extensions. I have disabled and enabled back the syncing of each individual extension. I have hit mannual sync multiple times. Both Machines are updated, and have been restarted.

I have no idea what is going on for it not to sync, when I go to install the extension on the PC that is missing, it recognizes that is installed.

I have no more ideas
