I have a Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 6 (20XY005MGE) with Win11 Pro.

All of a sudden, Firefox does not play any sound. I notice that it does not show up in the volume mixer. I tried:

• Reboot the PC
• Uninstall and reinstall Firefox
• Deactivate all Extensions
• I worked my way through the manual pages (none of which mentions Firefox missing in the volume mixer)

Youtube does not play sounds, the Spotify page notices that it cannot play sound (the spotify App for Windows works fine, though). News sites (tagesschau.de / video, deutschlandfunk.de / audio) play the video, but no sound.

I had the problem a few months ago already but I cannot recall the solution :(

Lost an open session in Firefox - folder sessionstore-backups doesn't contain anything. Not even the upgrade recovery. Lost or is there still something else I can do? Thank you

Is it possible to customize the URL pulldown? When I click in the URL window - I am presented with 6 website options along with various web search options. It would be helpful to modify the options since none of them apply to me. I tried deleting history, playing with the settings/search suggestions/change settings. I want to specify certain websites - and leave it that way. I've tried right clicking the site, shift deleting, contrl deleting. Nothing works. If it is possible - it is not intuitive. I notice that the list does slowly seem to update and evolve depending on where I have been. But I don't want that either. Thx IW

Since a day or two the font size on my Menu Bar is way too small. I have been searching around and the solutions are not working or not what I want. I do not want to zoom in, I want my page size to remain the same, I only need the font size on the menu bar back to what it was. I tried the userChrome.css method and it did not work

Recently I started getting this error when I would click on a link; it is not always the same but various unrelated links.

Hi, when I try to open any PDF all I get is a blank grey screen. My settings are set to "open in firefox" and my default PDF viewer is also firefox. How can I fix this? Thanks!

I feel like I've been seeing people online complaining about this for a couple of years now, and it's shocking to me that I still couldn't find a solution in a thorough google search. Has anyone found a fix for the mandatory restart Firefox now pushes whenever there's an update available? Basically, out of nowhere, the program will refuse to open any new tabs or load any pages, instead giving the error message in the image. A restart is forced, and all private tabs are lost without warning. This is completely unacceptable browser behavior. As far as I know, there is no setting or about:config option that will fix this. Has anyone found a work-around?

I've been a loyal Firefox user for a couple of decades at this point, but this nonsense has me seriously considering switching to something else. Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

I have followed various threads about importing my passwords without any success.

I recently swapped PCs so I exported passwords and bookmarks to disk to install on the new PC.

The bookmarks have imported ok but the passwords are in the CSV format created by Mozilla on export from the old PC and there is no option to import a CSV which seems a bit crazy.

I cannot find a way to import this data. I have tried syncing with my laptop to get the passwords but that doesn't work either.

If anyone could help me resolve this problem I would be very grateful.

Why do I have TWO Firefox icons shown on my desktop screen? If I click on #1 it says: "Created Tuesday, February 20, 2018" If I click on #2 it says: "Created Tuesday, December 05, 2023" Do I need both? or can I delete one of them? Thanks.

I have been using FF for many years but recently have started having issues on eBay.co.uk

At the moment it specifically relates to leaving feedback on my sold items.

I'm currently logging in on MS Edge or Chrome to leave feedback as FF just will not work.

I've tried FF on a clean install on a 2nd PC (no add-ons) and still get the issue.

Please help as I am now having to use Edge & Chrome so much I may as well move over to them which I would rather not do.

I tried eveything but found no way to access the store page of a specific extension, am i missing something?

I have constantly crashing tabs with FF 121.0.1 32-bit on Debian (happening since at least 120, and probably 114 or perhaps 115 ESR), and about:crashes has no listing of any tab crash reports; this hasn't been an issue until the most recent version. I'd like to report them so that they could hopefully be fixed, but reporting doesn't seem to be happening? Thanks.

How do I get rid of the purple home page in Private browsing that really defeats the purpose of private browsing when everyone can see this page pop up??? I have tried setting it to private only and I still get this page upon opening. I have searched the FAQs and tried all that they suggest (except for the one that suggests not using private browsing at all). this question and problem go back to at least 2019 it seems to me it should have been FIXED by now.

My old email keeps showing up when Firefox is trying to auto fill email. How do I change that in Firefox. Same with addresses, My mailing address is shown in many different ways, all variants of my actual address.

Also, I have some kind of browser hijacker (BING) that keeps directing me to Bing website. I have tried the standard procedures as outlined, bu t still BING often redirects my searches. I am also working with my anti-virus people to try to correct, but thought I would ask you as well. I reset my windows 10 installation thinking that it would be similar to a "backup and restore", but it wasnt. I wiped out nearly everything I had installed.

I hope that can learn how to load bookmarks from saved favorites folder.

Any help?

I am an experienced Firefox Add-On user.

I have installed Firefox on a new build Windows (10) computer. Only 4 of my 8 installed Add-Ons will show on the Task Bar

This is not a problem on my two other Windows machines that share the same Mozilla account for Bookmarks & Passwords. (Other machines are also 4K displays).

I have uninstalled then reinstalled Firefox several times on the new machine, nothing seems to work.

I suspect there is a simple fix, but it eludes me.

Suggestions?

With my previous browsers--such as Chrome and Brave--I could automatically get into key sites without signing in every time. I thought this was due to cookies that my login passcodes. In the case of Google, it is by far the most challenging. Despite having a gmail account since early 2003, and using Google regularly since the '90s, it persists in asking me lots of questions and texting codes, etc.

My situation with Firefox is not working smoothly as it was when I used it for many years about a decade ago. I've already imported such browser data from these sites.

Can you help? Otherwise, I'll move on to Safari again.
