Everything has changed on the top of my screen. I can't copy paste, find options, find bookmarks, etc. My tabs are there now.

I will have to use another browser if this can't be fixed :-(

Ages ago, with the separate search bar enabled, Firefox would allow the addition of any "searchable" site to the dropdown options for a search. This option is still available on specific sites, shown by adding a green + to the search icon (see Capture3.png).

At some point, this addition was "overridden" so that this option was available only to specific sites that have enabled the OpenSearch description within a separate xml file (from my best understanding from my best understanding). I'm sure that there is a security reason for this, but given that there are many sites available that don't have this option for whatever reason, including Wolfram Alpha and Dogpile, I used to be able to still add these sites as one-click searches and I would still like to do so.

If the "Add X"/green + is not available, the only option to add new search engines these days appears to be through the "Find more search engines" link under Options which sends the user to Add-Ons site specifically to search for an applicable add-on.

It doesn't seem like I should have to include an entire Add-on to switch search engines, especially since search engines I'd had from previous Firefox versions seem to have carried over just fine. For example, Thesaurus.com and Wolfram Alpha can't be added on my newer, fresh Firefox installations on other PCs, but I've got Thesaurus.com available from my long-standing profile (Capture4.png).

I've found a method to edit the search.json.mozlz4 file and manually add searches, there must be an easier way to accomplish something that seems relatively simple, and do so without a new add-on.

I have a brand spanking new system with Win 10 installed on SSD. I've been using it for about a month and it works great. MS updated edge over night (SURPRISE) and now Firefox has been slowed down considerably. For example. Facebook loads OK, but as I scroll down, the "Like", "Read More" , "Comment" links don't work for a bit. On this site trying to bring focus on this text area is laggy. Not like before update.

They seem to show up after a while, but it seems like every site is somehow s-lo-w-e-d since this 'update'. I re booted and also ran the 'quick fix" option but stuff is still slow.

Of course the update can NOT be rolled back. Do y'all imagine this is intentional or just my imagination?

How to desinstall Firefox as your navigator ? Before I had Microsoft Edge as my navigator and it worked better. Since I swithched for Firefox, everything is slowed ! I want to reverse my choice and go back to the situation before... Please HELP !

at work we use a proxy network with authentication ONLY with the firefox browser i have proxy problems. I see the page access denied by the proxy server, the only solution is to close and open the application.

Hello, It seems that my Firefox Browser upgraded itself and has a different look now, precisely speaking, my browser looks like beta version now. Earlier in the past, I downloaded Beta but I was disappointed because I COULD NOT FIND OR SEE MY BOOKMARKS.. Sadly and annoyingly, same thing happened now! Please understand my query. I removed the Firefox completely out of my computer, went into Regedit.exe (Please don't go in it unless you have used it frequently and know the consequences) and removed it as through as possible, when I get done there was nothing left in the computer of Firefox not even a single file or a string. Then I installed again and every website works fine, but if I log into my Firefox account only after that everything disappears, then if I open a new private window everything works fine again It seems to me the problem is my account in Firefox server. But I do not have access to it. I have it on two of my cell phone and 2 other computers but this is the newer one I use the most and only on this one I have problems I am signed in all my devices and they all work fine, I already checked the computer with different Antivirus programs and have also change my router

Recently, in a Google group I participate in, I stopped being able to reply to the original poster. (I can still reply to the whole group.) I couldn't find any setting within Groups that applied to the issue. One Google search result said it was an issue with Chrome browser "mailto" settings. I am not able to find anything analogous to that in Firefox. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? It looks like my Firefox version is 79.0. Thanks.

I clicked on the shield to turn off "enhanced protection". When I clicked on shield to turn the protection back on the window has no toggle switch to turn it back on. I went thru the help area and all I found was: "Follow the same process to turn Enhanced Tracking Protection back on." How do I turn it back on for individual sites?

Now Firefox 77 breaks 99% of all websites. (See attached screenshot.) www.example.com www.google.com www.wikipedia.org etc

Somehow, support.mozilla.org works, UNTIL I try to log in.

I've tried incognito mode, safe mode, etc. When I change charset of the page, the text displays differently, but it's still a useless mishmash.

--- BUT --- when I open developer tools, click the HTML request and click the Response tab, the HTML renders correctly there.

Is there any way to get the menu bar to have a unified appearance? Solid background mixed with a transparent one is not very nice looking. It would look much better if the solid background were also transparent. Anyone have a .css or other solution?

I just got a new computer and my Firefox sync that I set up that computer had bookmarks, my theme, and how I had things laid out, I tried for over an hour trying to get Firefox to sync, but after it's still the same, I was also switching from Windows 7 to Windows 10 which made it even more nauseating
