Ok, I've resolved this in the past, several version of Firefox ago, under windows. Firefox crashes silently, open it again and no tabs are restored. Open firefox again and look in recently closed windows and the one with my tabs is not there, only little utility windows that are popped up when I log in at the coffee shop, so my recently closed windows are overwritten with windows with no tabs.

So I go to my profile sessionstore-backups folder and copy it to the desktop. I have 6 files, previous.jsonlz4, recovery.baklz4, and recovery.jsonlz4 at around 8 megs in size. I copied each to the folder one level up and renamed them sessionstore.jsonlz4, and each time restarted firefox. All that opens is a blank tabbed firefox window.

There was never an existing sessionstore.jsonlz4 file anywhere I could find, even with firefox closed, this file never appears anywhere I could find it. Searching files with Windows was also unsuccessful.

I feel like I have captured the files with my tabs, based on the date modified, several were from before the crash. Why can't I find a working tutorial on how to restore my tabs? Nothing I've found on the support site works though I follow the directions exactly.

I recently installed firefox on a new computer and it will not access the internet. Any access request gets the message "Hmmm. We're having trouble finding that site." We cannot connect to the server.... It says to check that fiefox has permission to access the web, but I do not know how to do that. How can I get Firefox to access the web? I do not want to have to use different browser, but will switch unless this is resolved.

like a dick i tried to sort it out myself and i no nothing aboout computers i deleted loads of stuff thinking its old i dont need it from downloads...i was having truble with vids not playing just the spin thing or it does start but slow or judery ... now mozilla cant update ...as theres nothing there

Stopped receiving daily Washington Post newsletters yesterday, and they question if Firefox changed something? Is there something new preventing receiving them? If yes, how can I change it to allow the Washington Post e-mails? Thank you!

Unable to log in to Quora from GMail notifications on Firefox. While I can log in directly to Quora from Firefox, when I click on notification received on G Mail, I inevitably get the message, "something went wrong. Try again later" I need to get to Quora directly from G Mail. Please help.

Citibank cannot access the online account changed pass word and it keeps asking me for the new password.

Citibank says Firefox has to be restored?

What has happened to all of my Task Bar / Tool Bar? As of today, Sunday Nov. 26th, everything is gone. In addition the browser itself looks "different" some how.

i get 'server not found' and 'try again' window when trying to access sites and even within sites if i manage to get on - after several 'try again' clicks

could this be related to recently installed fibre optics or do i have a virus - my anti-virus protection is bitdefenders

After an update the new Firefox does not show the line above the browser Firefox, I used to have items like clear cookies or check if Firefox is up to date but such lines do not show in this past August 7, 2024 update, how do I bring them back

I will open a few tabs, then close some then open more , then everything slows down, I go to task manager and see that many tasks are still open under Firefox

I want tabs to close ( end process) when I close them

So now I manually 'end process' and the machine resumes speed

How do I get firefox to End Process when tabs are closed

this is w 8.1, don't know what version of firefox, pretty recent

this is firefox mozilla, as best I understand, not that I know why these two are always paired

With the latest release of Firefox the Extensions are no longer viewable above the toolbar. One in particular ScrollSave needs to be set (turned on) at the exact scrolled location and now this capability has been lost.

Any suggestions.

Alle behaupten ich hätte die neueste Version.Hauptproblem ist, daß seit dem 1.8.2024, 17.16 Uhr auf dem PC mit der Version 115 die Symbolleiste und alle Lesezeichen verschwunden sind. Firefox will not down load some email files says I need to uprgade butI have the latest upgrade but it looks like they think i am on windows 8 but I am on windows 10

My "PRIMARY" email address is WRONG -- cannot log in, cannot access Firefox Account, cannot do all the things offered by Mozilla. HOW DOES A LONG TIME CUSTOMER -- any customer -- GET HELP TO FIX THE PRIMARY ACCOUNT???????

CANNOT DO ANYTHING BECAUSE FIREFOX AND I DO NOT AGREE ON THE PRIMARY ACCOUNT. NO WAY TO ACCESS MY ACCOUNT. FEELING LIKE TOTALLY REMOVING ALL FIREFOX INFO, PROGRAMS, ETC AND DUMPING THIS WHOLE MOZILLA MESS.

Maybe a gun to the computer would be the best way to eliminate the Firefox problems -- seems that way. Then on my new computer I can STAY AWAY FROM EVERYTHING FIREFOX OR MOZILLA. STUPID WAY TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR CUSTOMERS -- Oh, maybe that's my problem. I am NOT A CUSTOMER cause I don't pay you.

I have an older version of FF (V. 55) and am trying to find a way to transfer all my windows/tabs that I accumulated using the old "Tab Groups". Any help on this one also greatly appreciated.

None of the screens that I see re. "Strict Tracking"in the support pages work when I try them on my version. I want to change my tracking to "strict", but cannot find out how. Also, I see hundreds of trackers esp. every time when I have to use Google since that is the only one w/ which a few sites can deal. I am attaching a screenshot of the daily Adaware tracking cookie search that I schedule. If I had gone to Google, the difference would be that there would be hundreds, even from a short single visit w/ Google in the file name.

Any help re. either of these these two matters would be greatly appreciated. Wolfgang

I set up 4ows of shortcuts on the home page. Almost ever shortcut had an icon. Now all of the icons are gone except for youtube, ebay and amazon. Not sure what happened to the rest of the icons. Has this happened to anyone else?
