Why did Firefox update my windows 7 system without my permission even though Updates were turned off due to using Windows 7 . Consequently important desktop weblinks were lost. But also importantly, I don't like this desktop version of firefox that I did not request. I use to be able to store frequently used web links in a far right column underneath the 3 hashmarks on the top right. Now these valuable links are LOST due to your updating without my permission...What options are open to restore those web links ?

Am I understanding that firefox will update without users permission though updates are turned off ? Please respond. Because, if firefox does not honor users wishes, how can we have any confidence in you ? Yes, I am upset that you over rode my setting that turned off updates due to using Windows 7. Is this your policy to ignore users wishes and settings without an explanation prior to forced windows updates ? Please Respond to the email listed below. I currently have like 40 windows and a few hundred of tabs opened from when the bookmark star was not working after updates. I have found it too difficult to organize my current filing system ever since they stopped the drag and drop feature. I want to type in more than the first letter to find a file or folder. I want to type in a word - have those FOLDERS only come up to chose from with that word in their titles..but alas no field to do so. The Organize page is hard to find - below the options as a postscript on the ff options submenu. Once there - it doesn't bring up just folders in one box and the files that you want to organize in another box and the ability to drag them into the right folder. Instead it brings up only misc files in no particular order. I can't work with that for type of job. This is more for finding a file I think - alone. So -that's why I left so many files up. Not my normal way to do things - I would file them then close all windows down empty - or maybe just what I was working on still up. Not my question. My question is just what was in the title bar. That's all. Thanks. Oh I know the setting is there to have them open at start up or not. Question is is I say no - will they be deleted? I know you can click on "restore prior session" from the ff menu after history. (altho I can't see it - poss bec I opened with prior session. ) I basically want access to SEE my prior session windows/tabs without opening them until I CLICK on them to activate them. I want to see the TITLE of the links basically "off-line" and decide if I want to go there and work or not one by one - NOT to "restore all" or not. And if you don't restore previous session on your subsequent session - and logoff/shutdown. Is the prior session lost for your "3rd session and forward"? does it only save the very last session? say i had 40 windows open. chose not to open them auto next session - via settings. AND i never opened them all for that subsequent session. What happens to those 40 windows the next time? Are they unsaved? Since i never opened them - say only used the new blank windowtab to check the weather. closed the link shut down. That session had no windows or tabs left open but the home page = next session should have no windows or tabs saved in the ff menu underneath the history by how it is said. There is no clarification. It's a big deal to just try it - and lose 300 tabs I need to look at and favorite through. Get me? I hope it's clear. I feel you only need the title bar but it wouldn't allow so I felt I had to elaborate. PLS help. I have to clean up to do MS OS upgrades, backups, I have partions, gotta read up so this thing has to be fixed first. Plus auto opening/connecting to links on all those tabs at start up is interferring with updates bec they happen at the same time - badddd news. Thanks all!

As described above I'm now seeing section descriptions in a program app I've been using in my work successfully over the past two years. Now, all of a sudden, the section titles in the program are faded gray almost to white, which makes entering info (not to mention eye strain), really difficult. Just wondering if this might have been something that occurred with the last Firefox update.

I've tried adjusting the screen resolution but it makes no difference. See the screenshot with this message.

When I login into by back account I get to messages that bank has confirmed that it's from firefox login records. So instead of just logining into bank account I have to go through two extra login screens before I get in. These screens are saying that my login isn't correct, but after clicking on both (now 3rd screen) I get into my account.

Hello... EVERY time I try to sign into my Yahoo email, I have to go through hoops to actually get there. When I click the box that says ...never ask on this device again, your system ignores it. This "Added Security" is not helpful. nor is it adding any security to anything. All you are doing is making me look for other web browsers. Google Chrome does not do this. Safari does not do this. Opera does not do this. I do not need to be contacted via text message, OR ANY OTHER WAY, to gain access to MY email account. Stop holding me hostage!!

Please tell me how to get rid of this absolutely horrible "feature."

During an online transaction I get into a loop where Firefox reports "Firefox prevented this page from reloading automatically". I respond with Allow but the situation repeats. I have changed the settings to standard for this particular website, but the problem persists and appears to be the reason that the transaction eventually fails. What other settings or adjustments do I need to make to allow Firefox to automatically reload a page on a trusted site?

As of two to three days ago (ca 20/05/22) when navigating to a website (regardless of whether it has been previously visited or not) a message appears stating "PK not found (e1)". I have to click it in order to view the website. Sometimes the message also has a checkbox stating "Allow notifications like this from www.example.com to take you to their tab". I am using the latest FFox 100.0.2 and am fairly sure the problem started after the update before the last one (the last one was this morning 22/05/22).

Please fix the abovementioned problems,make a browser bit faster,improve the consistancy of the browser so that it will stop crushing.Please make it stop alternating or change mail pages.

the moving objects and gifs are moving very slow on firefox and moving very fast and smooth on google chrome . any flags or options to make this objects and gifs and shapes moves fast.

I asked such a question the day before yesterday, but none answered me I still use window 7 32 bit and I never want to update The new version ( V 98.01 ) is not compatible with Window 7 A black screen is shown just I open the Firefox browser I thought it is virus, but it is not so. Now I am sure of the problem I uninstalled the new version and changed for an old version ( V 80.01 ) and the black screen is never shown The black screen which I complain about= crashing of the browser because it is not covenant to Window 7

2- I changed the update to  (   Check for updates but let you choose to install them )  and the problem is ended but a message about updating still appears in the right corner  need me close each time. 

How can I get rid finally from update message in the toolbar ? In V 80.01 there is no choice ( never check for update )

Why can't I change the volume in one tab? During a meeting, for example, the radio is on, and it is much louder than the meeting, and you cannot adjust the volume of a single tab. This is very bothersome, not only in the above case. These pages determine the volume themselves. Some have regulations on the site, but not always. I am very tired of this problem. Are there any ways to change the volume of a given tab?

Why do I keep getting Access Denied error messages when I try to open common sites like Lowes or Autozone? These sites have always worked with no problem for many years but now do not open. I have tried deleting all my history but they still don't work. Ready o quit FireFox.

I got mad at a website that wouldn't let me right click menu to save pictures, so I stubbornly saved them via less efficient means, in the process I picked up the Long Screenshot extension and this had an error shortly before or after I had an issue with Lightshot not appearing, other extensions did not appear either when I added them during this time period, but now these all appear with the exception of Lightshot, which gets deleted and reinstalled only to not appear, that of course being the problem, though I will also say that a right click menu not being there is like reaching onto my computer and pulling my finger away, sites that do that should be given the cold shoulder somehow, at least.

In the search section of Firefox for a topic in Firefox right at the home page... when I type a topic to search.... it transfers my typed information to the very top of the page leaving the middle title box for search blank. I can't see what I'm typing in properly because of this...........

In Microsoft Edge this type in search works perfectly...You type it in the big search box and it then searches perfectly...and you can see better what your typing in......

In Firefox it's showing a search box to type in your information but converts it to this tiny box on top of the page.....it's terrible to use compared to Edge....

Can this be modified to work like the search page in Microsoft Edge with a Firefox update?
