With the pervasive cookie tracking nowadays, I would like to consent to all cookie requests that continually pop up asking for more information but now I must adjust accordingly and use Private Tabs more info so I need a feature that can let me use Private and Normal tabs in the same window, at Firefox.

In the Firefox View tab, we can search for Open Tabs. I am wondering how I can make a strict search for a particular pattern. For example, let's say I have hundreds of tab open for youtube like below:

https://youtube.com/watch?v=<random> https://youtube.com/watch?v=<random> https://youtube.com/watch?v=<random> https://youtube.com <---------------------I want this one to appear in my search

how can I ONLY search for open tabs that is the youtube front page (i.e to not match anything after the ".com"). If I just search for "youtube.com", it will match all of them, but I only want the front page.

Then, i can quickly close all of the duplicate

Hello, I would like to know how to add a plugin (in my case Google Translate) to the Sidebar, just like the screenshot attached. (I don't know how these plugins were added here of course, they just showed up in the sidebar)

I have a large number of folders in trees that go several levels deep. Sometimes over the years I have made two folders on similar topics.

I understated that there used to be an add-on that was discontinued after about version 54, that would do this. I understand that there is a very tedious process to identify the folder for a specific link.

I want to be able to view, search, and even possibly move folders to another part the tree, much like a Windows folder, so that I can move the links from, say, HP printer, all together and delete the links that I no longer need.

If such an add on does not now exist, how do i submit a request to Mozilla to have this done?

Every time I go to install an OS or reinstall (especially on my laptop), I am happy to see everything sync as intended when I sign in... Except for the darn cookie deletion exceptions. I have a rather long list of websites for which cookies ARE saved, while my global setting is to delete all cookies upon exiting the browser. This one thing does not get ported over. The issue has already been created on Bugzilla https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1662804. I would assume that the cookie-keeping-preferences are saved in _some_ file (which I assume, at least on Linux is accessible and modifiable). Could you perhaps point me in the direction of said file, so I can manually transfer over these preferences from my "master" Firefox install on my main machine?

I'm hoping a developer for Firefox sees this:

With as much technology existing today, I think it's a big miss that "Collections" aren't synced across devices. You spend a couple years setting up an amazing Collections resource, and then you get a new device and have no efficient way to retain those collections. The idea that I have to open every link, copy it, text it to myself, open it on the new device and save it into a Collection again -- for every single webpage I've saved for years -- is nauseating.

Is this something that developers could possibly work on improving? I'm not even interested in building Collections again, considering that they are just a temporary, device-specific feature. Why bother, if I'm just going to lose them every time I upgrade my device?

I'm a user of a site where I have ended up with a lot of accounts. I use the container extension to make it so I can have each account logged in simultaneously. However, since I added the accounts in a random order, the list is in nothing approaching alphabetical order. There are so many now it makes it hard to find them; plus I have containers I use for other sites. The only way I can find to reorder them is to remove and remake the containers in alphabetical order. I think it would be useful to make it so in the settings page there was the ability to grab a handle on the left-hand side of the container listing and drag it to be where you want it in the list.

I had been looking everywhere for a solution to make the Tabs preview thumbnail bigger, even end up asking chatGPT for the first time in my life thinking it might give me a more advanced solution only to end up with a CSS solution that ends up ruining the Tabs size themself

As for Add-ons it did give me a few recommendations but none of them seems to actually offer a Tabs preview sizing?

Was the "mighty AI" saying the truth?

Hi there I've been using firefox for long time and I love that it utilizes gtk4 in gnome. To make it even more like other gnome apps I found I can remove the tab bar and combining everything in one bar. That way it looks like vanilla gnome application. But I don't like the extra clicks I have to do to get side bar or tab list open. I couldn't find any extension that will provide icons only tabs I can insert into the toolbar. So i can someone help A): implement the tab bar besides the url in the toolbar or the other way around the url besides the tab bar? B): display all opened tabs in a page that I can set for a new tab page? (this sounds a great idea can't believe I can't find extension that can do that!) C): at least have the sidebar with the vertical tabs to autohide? Does anybody know how to do any of these 3 or maybe have a better workaround?

Since the last or second to last update whenever i open a new tab(to the right) with a video there is a play button where the tab-title is. i would click to select the new tab and accidentally click this button. the video would play. then i click again to this time change to the new tab for real. now the new tab is muted. so the new tab is playing in the background muted. this is incredibly annoying. the play button is right in the middle of the tab register so to change tabs i have to avoid it to the left or right.

PLEASE at least give the option to not have this button.

Is there a way to show bookmarks on particular sites without showing them all the time?

My use case is that I have a plugin's url set as my home page and new tab page and would like to be able to see my bookmarks when I open a new tab but not when I'm on other tabs.

Bonus question; is there a way to have my new tabs open to that plugin's url but also have the url bar empty for browsing?

If Mozilla is going to add an annoying left side scroll bar they should also include a facility to disable it. I don't use the right side scroll bar, I certainly don't need another not to use. Besides it interferes with some websites....

Help

Certain websites come off as super dark or super light, hiding the fonts so I can't read content. I experiemented with color scheme (theme) but need to reset to a standard theme so I can read all websites. I don't know how to do that.
