I changed operating system from Win 10 to Linux. Can I import the file or files from my Firefox on Win 10 to my Firefox on Linux? If so, where can I find them on the windows drv and what is the file called? Thanks for your help Ray

Hi, I cannot import my Firefox bookmarks from my macbook pro 2021 to my macbook pro 2024. When I select "import data", only Safari show up, not Firefox, which has been my default browser for many years. Please help me, thanks, cindi

I have one computer. I use Chrome for work stuff. I use Firefox for personal stuff. I installed the new Firefox as I was supposed to, and it closed all my tabs. I usually have the option to restore my previous session, but not this time. So I started going back through my history (grrrrr....) and my history is full of all the sites/tabs I visited with Chrome. I DO NOT want work stuff mixing with my personal stuff. Besides the fact that it is making it harder for me to restore my lost tabs, there is a reason I have two different browsers. I wish Firebox weren't trying to change my organizational scheme. I DO NOT WANT FIREFOX TO IMPORT HISTORY OR BOOKMARKS FROM CHROME. How do I turn this off?

When importing logins and notes and URL from Chrome to Firefox, why the latter doesn't bring notes and read double URLs?

All of my notes are gone and if similar URLs are doubled.

Sharing one screenshot, since I cannot share another due to privacy (until a Mozilla dev team asks for it directly without sharing it on public platform).

I'm looking for help in transferring everything from Firefox to Chrome. If anyone knows how, because Google isn't being the best help at the moment. I have a Chromebook, so it's been tough trying to download Firefox. I'm looking for a way to move what I need onto the laptop without having to start from scratch and do things one by one, which is too many things. If anyone knows how, please don't hesitate to answer.

Installed ff on new C drive and trying to import my profile from replaced, working drive. Got as far as pasting previous folder into new one and see new files were added. Both drives W10. But clicking bookmarks and passwords gets "nothing saved." Cannot decipher folder contents, & without details it's a dead end.

Likewise there is a page here on "importing bookmarks from another browser", with a link. It opens to window where you can look for the file. Same problem, not knowing where bookmarks are. Is there a place to find details on what profile folders and files store. Or am I missing something else? Thanks for assist. -- PS Images could be added if any purpose.

I have change to a new PC and i could not renember my password. I have to get acces to my account by a link to reset my passeword. After that I can not import my bookmarks to the new pc.

Trying to install Firefox on Windows 11. I tried to import profiles from the Win10 machine but it didn't work - profile not found. I uninstalled and reinstalled again but same problem. I thought i had removedFF from the system but a search in this PC revealed 4 .browser files, 14 version files labelled from 134.0.2 to 119.0, a Dropbox messaging file? And a Firefox folder in Appdata Roaming.

Can I delete all of these and start again with a clean install? Why does the installer leave so much rubbish behind?
