My favourites link (blue star) has disappeared from the toolbar. I can find the favourites link by searching the computer but I don't know how to get it back on the toolbar.

I use Firefox on all my computers and phone, because its ability to save my browsing history and sync across devices has been unparalleled. This is invaluable because a certain website I frequent has a nasty habit of eliminating and locking its pages. (I’ve asked them about it and they plan to continue doing this.) Without the exact link and all the metadata from my browsing history, I cannot retrieve those pages.

This past weekend when I went to recover a page, I discovered that FireFox has only six months of my history, not the many years I expected. I checked my pre-update profile, and it had no history either. I have some computers that have been offline for a few months so maybe they have versions old enough to still have my history.

How do I get my history back and how do I avoid FF destroying my history without my consent in the future?

Out of nowhere, my history was deleted and I can't open previous windows. However, it does show previous tabs. This seems to happen periodically. Can you tell me how to address this?

Hello, I have restarted my laptop only to find that my previous session was not retriavable anymore, so I went to my History and to my utter surprise it was gone. Years of history deleted. Could you help me understand what on Earth just happened?!?!?! Thanks in advance

I'd like to know how long is the history store for if I have a Firefox account to sync to. Does it delete it after X time or store it forever like Google does?

I've seen some threads that say it has a max limit of entries but I want to know what happens if I have my sync active.

For example if I import my Google Chrome history and I search for something from 3 years ago, will I see that search in all my devices?

Unfortunately, I have lost all of my browsing history on Firefox. There are no recently closed tabs that I can restore, and I've also checked for recently closed windows, but there are none to recover. It feels as though my entire digital footprint has vanished, leaving me unable to revisit important pages or retrieve valuable information I was previously accessing. Please help me.

My clear history will not clear the last month's history. I switched to private browsing which clears my most recent history. Is there a way I can clear this months history?

It opened every time I typed.

I asked ChatGPT and turned off both "Search page when you start typing" in settings and made some config files to block it.

It still shows up when I press ' or / outside a text input.

And I thought that was pretty good. But the new vesion is awful. I seem to have losy all control of things like a dedicated homepage and so on.

AS you now seem to believe that you can run things for me, you can equally do without me. Tell me, which is less awful, Edge or Safari?

I fairly frequently use the "Use Current Pages" button under Home > New windows and tabs to set my current open tabs (or pages) as my "homepage and new windows." I would really like a shortcut to do this without opening settings, but I can't find anything to do that. I guess it could be a button or keyboard shortcut. Can this be created? Thanks.

I have been having issues for some time with my home page not loading after startup in the mornings. My default browser works fine. But Mozilla Firefox is not! If I shut down numerous times, or do a restart or go into my default browser, Firefox will load after an hr or two of repeated attempts! This has been going on since the last 3 updates. I have plenty of storage left on my computer. I have just done the latest update (134.0.1 (64-bit) - Windows 11. Can anyone throw some light on this issue?

Firefox Home content is blank since the beginning of February 2025. I run Mac 10.14 Mojave.

The page displays the correct grid but but with blank squares now. The edit button on each square doesn't show data either.

after downloading the newest update, there is a big firefox logo on my home page that obscures some of my shortcuts. how can i remove that or at least have it at the bottom of the page

On my home page i have 2 rows of short cuts. Then the latest news listings. Can I change the types of news listings? For example one story might be from NPR while the next can be from CNN then another from MSNBC. Non of which interests me. Is there away to set sites in the settings to list News and events that I would be interested in? Sites like The Wire, Reuters, NewsMax, RT, The National Desk, etc. So would there be a way to get those headlines? Thanks
