In the last month or 2 when i search in google (using mozilla) and click on any results that show in the top/ads section>>> I receive the following Bitly error.

"Something's wrong here. This is a 404 error, which means you've clicked on a bad link or entered an invalid URL. Maybe what you are looking for can be found at Bitly.com. P.S. Bitly links are case sensitive."

I never had it in the past and if i copy/paste in Microsoft Edge>>>it works. It is really annoying and if i can't find the answer> I will be forced to change browsers! (which i dont want to do/been with Firefox/Mozilla forever!)

When I first open Firefox flashes open closes really fast then will open on 2nd try. This only happens on first time after start up from total shut down. It will not repeat if windows has not been turned off. No crash reports are found from about:crashes, and windows cannot find "%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\submitted" when I entered it. I just built this this PC after black Friday with good parts, my last build is 14 years old and still runs. This just started a few days ago. Thanks for any help you might me. Philip

I am using Firefox on a new computer and it IS set at the default browser. But when I am in other programs and click a link (Thunderbird, LibreOffice, etc.), the link does NOT open in Firefox. Is there a setting I need to change to fix this?

Hi I'm using version 108.0.1 and have noticed when trying to play videos on YouTube I get an error message saying "if playback doesn't begin shortly, try restarting your device." I have tried clearing all cookies, removing all add-ons, running the browser in troubleshoot mode and reverting back to an older version (107.0.1) with nothing seeming to work. I have encountered a similar problem when using Sound Cloud where the song i try to play doesn't load and it continuously skips to the next track until i press the pause button.

This also isn't an issue with the account I'm using as the same happens when logged out and playback works fine on the same account on different devices.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I use a mac mini with firefox

The menu bar on the right hand corner and Add Ons Close immediately when trying to open when the window is minimized. From research I thought it might be extensions. I checked and everything is fine. I also tried to refresh Firefox and that did not work. I did notice when I put the window to full view everything works fine. I am wondering why it does not work properly when the window is minimized to a smaller view. Your help would be appreciated.

Sometimes, unpredictably, the browser stops working in a way that the page stops working, and trying to reload the page, open a new tab, or even save the content on a page, simply doesn't work. The singlefile extension fails, and I can't just disable it, and re-enable it, the browser won't let me do that, either. The browser's built-in save function won't even progress to completion. That is inconvenient when I'm trying to save chat, or some other ephemeral thing, that won't be available after restarting the browser. I don't want this to happen anymore. I don't want this situation to recur. I'm not sure what to do to prevent it in the future. I'm not sure what causes this mess. I don't know what else to say about it. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong, and how to fix this?

The browser seemed to be in the throes a crash, but it just wouldn't finish itself off. So I killed the main process, which I thought should trigger a crash report, but it didn't.

I'm still using Windows 7. When I try to set up a GoogleGroup using Firefox and check "I am not a robot" it just spins and after 15 seconds or so just goes nowhere. But when I use Chrome, I have no problem being approved by Captcha. How can I fix it so that I can do the same via FireFox?

Every time I use the developer tools, as soon as a suggestion is shown, it blocks the complete UI and I cannot do anything anymore. Only closing Firefox and restarting makes it go away.

See also the image for an example, in that case I inspect an HTML element, try to add a CSS property, but once I type something, Firefox shows the suggested properties and from that moment on the UI is blocked. The suggestions don't go away anymore, I cannot click on any buttons, I cannot change tabs, nothing. The mouse over works, because I see tabs highlighting when I move the mouse, but nothing happens on a click.

This also happens in the other tabs of the tools. For example in the network tab, when I hover over a picture and it shows a thumbnail, it also freezes the UI.

This is on MacOS 12.5.1, FF 108.0.1 and with all extensions and plug ins disabled.

I have tried every solution on this issue from re-installing it to checking virus or malware but firefox seems to keep losing tabs.

I did notice how this issues started with me trying to press ctrl+F5 which seems to have messed Firefox up as well as Chrome broowser.

I have also made sure its up to date too.

Can anyone help please as it very annoying losing your tabs..

I thought again Id lost tabs but this time I tried pressing the ctrl+F5 and again strange but the tabs re appeared the screen also seems to go to teh left like its going to another monitor which I do not have any added onto this computer.

I have been using mozila firefox for couple of months but currently when I open some websites they dont open instead firefox crashes...Not sure but some Firefox add-ons casuing issues with some specific websites. One of them is this business website that sometimes does not open. If it open, site does not show fully responsive.

Using Firefox for years on MAC. Since upgrading to 108.0.1 printing no longer works. PDF using either printer icon on page or Apple& P keys, get waiting circle saying "preparing...) running indefinitely, can get out only by escape key. Same page can be instantly downloaded and printed outside Firefox, or printed on Safari. I have rebooted system to no avail. Since problem coincided with update to this update I am treating it as a bug in version. MAC OS is 10.13.6 High Sierra and exhibiting no other issues.

Hello, i am using Firefox in Ubuntu( installed by default) in Vbox. Today, i opened a .pdf link and tried to download it, once i pressed the button the Firefox closed( or crashed). Then i opened my gmail and wanted to send an image in letter, i pressed the button to add a file and Firefox closed again. After that i typed sudo apt-get update and upgrade in terminal, now waiting to see if there is any changes. I opened about:crashes and submitted report. This is the third time, since the latest major OSX update (Ventura), that the window I had on top when I put my computer to sleep has been missing when I re-awaken my computer. All other windows remain where, and as, they should be. - It does not appear in "recently closed windows"(!!) - It does it show up when I try "about:sessionrestore" (the restore option is greyed out; list is empty). - When I try typing the URL of a tab from the missing window, it shows up in my search suggestions as remembered history, but not as a "switch to tab" option, as it would if the window still existed somewhere. - Trying to recreate the missing window from my history isn't possible, as the date filing for history is apparently when the tabs were opened/"created", not what was actually open on a particular date. - In one case (not today's occurance), when I started typing a URL from the missing window into a different window's tab, the missing window suddenly reappeared, sweeping in from the left, as if it had been hiding off-screen, waiting to be called back. But the other two times, that has not happened. - I had about half of the tabs bookmarked, but I had so many tabs open in that window (things I was tracking short-term) that I don't even know what all I'm missing, yet. - My list of "recently closed windows" only shows three windows (which shouldn't matter--it would have had to have been the last window closed), instead of the 10 it was previously set to. How did that get changed and how do I put it back to 10? - None of the missing tabs show up in "recently closed tabs"

It's like the window simply vanished, with no trace of it having ever existed. Even though the window itself had been open for months, and contained a handful of permanently open, always-use-them tabs (e.g., my email client). Very frustrating.

So I have a few questions: 1. Is anyone else having this problem? 2. How do I give Mozilla feedback about this unfortunate behavior? 3. How do I determine if the problem is Mozilla or Ventura--I suspect it is how they play together. So who needs to know? 4. Any other suggestions on how I can get back my missing window when it disappears?

Often when viewing media, that is YouTube and other platforms, a loud crack of high frequency is heard. This happens at certain times in the media, so I checked and saw that the crack isn't there on a different browser like Brave. To fix this issue I've tried: -Reinstalling Firefox -Updated Realtek sound driver -browsed in Troubleshooting Mode -disabled media.webspeech.synth.enabled in about:config

I've got a Canon printer USB connected to my Windows system. The printer works just fine, when Firefox is not running. When Firefox is on the printer reports that it is offline and will not function. How can I prevent Firefox from having doing this.

Select text on page. CTRL+F. Highlighted text becomes the search term. F3. The number of hits is now shown. Close search bar. Highlight another piece of text. CTRL+F. New search term is now shown. Old number of hits is still shown.

1. Shouldn't the number of hits be initially shown, if "Highlight All" is enabled? 2. Shouldn't the number of hits be automatically updated with a new search term is selected?
