For some months now I have been finding that, when I try to log on to the BBC website or the Youtube website using my default browser Firefox I get a timed out message. However, both websites usually open when I try for the second time. This never happened before. For both sites I log on from Windows 10 desktop icons. This defect is now annoying me so much I am inclined to switch to Chrome or Microsoft Edge as default browsers where the problems do not occur. I have tried a number of suggested solutions shown on line but nothing has worked to date. Before I switch default browser I will try further suggested solutions if anyone has any.

When I click on Add-On Support it says Page Not Found. That's pretty basic. Screenshot attached. This is not a button/link for a specific add-on, it's for Firefox as a whole.

Additionally, when I use LastPass, the LastPass icon does not appear anywhere I can access it, which is a basic feature that works properly in Chrome. I use this add-on multiple times per day which makes it very difficult to use Firefox as my main browser because I can't do 2-clicks to get to my passwords, I have to go to lastpass.com and login to their website, even though the add-on is installed.

I imported my bookmarks through an html backup but I dont see them on the bookmarks bar and when I sync my chrome browser data everything is all screwed up How can I import my chrome data minus bookmarks

Will 'someone' please call me back So I can explain my question more specifically? My security protection program states IT is unable to update (or indicate that my Mozilla browser account is already updated) my Mozilla Browser to version to xxx.x.2? Thank You

I deployed central management of firefox yesterday and I am suffering firefox hangs on startup (prior to opening any window) after configuration change from pref to localPref. When I kill firefox and run again it usually start normally. Usually one kill is sufficient, but I observed also two subsequent kills are necessary.

I created these files:

/usr/lib64/firefox/defaults/pref/autoconfig.js:

pref("general.config.filename", "firefox.cfg"); pref("general.config.obscure_value", 0);

/usr/lib64/firefox/firefox.cfg:

// This comment is mandatory lockPref("autoadmin.global_config_url","http://www/firefox/firefox.cfg"); lockPref("autoadmin.append_emailaddr",false);

and in the firefox.cfg on a website I have for example: lockPref("network.proxy.type", 4);

when I change the lockPref to pref in this file, everything works normally, but when I change it back to lockPref I get a firefox hang on startup. What am I doing wrong?

Hi to all,

On website at wordplay.com (like wordl but better) I use to be able to use my keyboard to type in my 5 letter words. Those letters would populate in the boxes on the screen. Now when I do that a little pink box comes up in the bottom left corner of my screen and my letters are shown there.

So, I have to manually select each letter on the simulated keyboard on the app with my cursor. I don't know what I did to change this. I have refreshed Foxfire but that didn't help. Image attached but system wont let me attach the pink box.

I have created a firefox plugin, whose job is to get the cookie from the server and set it for a particular website. I have plugin with same logic for chrome as well. For firefox, I need to sometimes toggle the permissions to make it work, but suddenly the plugin has stopped working. Its not even working even with toggling the permissions, earlier this plugin was working fine. The similar plugin for chrome works perfectly well, and for that I dont need to change or toggle any permissions. I am not able to identify the issue. It would be great if someone could help me with this.

Occasionally, and typically only after a reboot, Firefox starts consuming a significant amount of CPU time. This typically goes on for several minutes, and if I close and reopen Firefox, the process begins again. It's enough CPU that the fans kick on high through most of the process, and considering I'm only opening the browser (not even switching tabs to actively load any other pages), I don't know why it would do this. Similarly, if it were related to typical startup behavior, why doesn't it do this every time?

While I generally trust that this is intentional and is unlikely the result of malware, I'd still like to know why Firefox does this at all and what it's doing. I'm not sure if I can collect any logs or get any other info about this. From process monitors, it appears to be the main executable that's consuming the additional CPU and not any of the isolated instances.

I collected the troubleshooting information, and saved it, but I am hesitant to share without knowing what type of information is contained (and I can see some sensitive stuff like file paths)

I have "Open previous windows and tabs" checked in the settings, And have been using firefox in that manner for years, Like I would close the browser, And would beable to come back to what I was working on. But after an update, I came back to all my tabs gone, And I opened multiple tabs and closed, And opened the browser again and there were no more tabs. bold text My firefox browser has somehow gotten the Easy Login browser hacker, and it is causing me numerous problems including; A. It's icon is blocking part of my firefox screen; B. When I seek to go to an address, it opens a different address...

Whenever I have Firefox open with certain games, the browser randomly freezes and ultimately crashes. But especially when I have videos running. The game itself does not crash and runs completely fine with no issues.

I have no idea what causes it, and I used to not have this issue at all before. However, I believe it was after I upgraded my computer, which should have no issues with the specs I have.

Every time I start my computer and click on Firefox it opens with a blank page, so I have to restart my computer and open Firefox again to see all my shortcuts and recent activity. Very annoying!!

I recently pinned Firefox to my Taskbar. When I right click to choose a task to perform (e.g. Open New Private Window), Alson with the list of task choices, there is a long list with the heading "Frequent" of sites that I have visited. So far, the on;y way i can get rid of the items in Frequent is to right click and "Remove from this list" which is time consuming and annoying. How do I get rid of/stop this list from showing

As of 7/10/2024, I cannot sign in to ATT.com via Firefox. Other web browsers work correctly. The site generates a "902" error (proprietary). In the console, I see a failure to load 2 scripts:

Loading failed for the <script> with source “https://signin.att.com/static/thirdparty/adobe/detm-container-hdr.js”. LrrController:33:2 Loading failed for the <script> with source “https://signin.att.com/static/thirdparty/adobe/detm-container-ftr.js”.

Note that I can click that link in the console and each of those scripts loads. I have tried disabling tracking protection for the site as well as disabling the adblocker.

The Back Button does not work at times. When I right click on the Back Button, many previous sites are shown. It would be nice if this was fixed so it works all the time.

Also, at times the Bookmarks Sidebar disappears all on its own. Why is this?
