All my passwords and sites and user name just sit there. I have to enter them manually. Screen says TURN ON FIREFOX, I WOULD LOVE TO turn it on but how?

I have two mac laptops, each have Firefox (FF) installed on them. For Laptop A I am logged into my Firefox account so FF can sync with my iPhone. For Laptop B I am not logged into my FF account. Both laptops, however, are logged into my Apple ID account.

When I am working on both machines at the same time I will get a second FF icon in the Docks of both machines. Clicking on Laptop A's secondary's FF icon will result in the webpage that is open on Laptop B appearing in Laptop A's instance FF.

How is this happening? Is the information being passed through my Apple account?

Can I disable this feature?

Firefox does not display an escape character that Google Chrome does on Github. This character is used frequently as a delimiter in Source Engine games, so it being hidden can cause some issues in identifying where 1 parameter ends and the next begins.

i try to use firefox multiaccount container but it does not work. Better said if i add the add-on it does not show up in system bar (up in the right corner), but you can see it in the add-ons and themes setting menu. So there is only half of layout given but no function of it at all compairing to other persons using it, e.g. "how to use firefox multiaccount container tutorial videos" etc. Trying to handel the settings of it with the add-ons and themes menu does not help.

I use the firefox browser protable eddion for windows at my laptop and it seems to be that all settings are recent. As well it does not seem to be that i use there any privat tab where it does not work i guess?!

May someone can help me?

Trying to reinstall a working module that I deleted, but now it only displays the title. And none of the code works.

How do I change policies regarding telemetry and data? I found the policy list but have been unable to change the restrictions. Formerly had a faculty account at Tarrant County College. Perhaps I am still logged in to that account which no longer exists. Windows 11 Surfshark VPN

I have this problem all the time but don't remember it before. Was there a change? Did someone really illiterate become part of the design team? Today's problem word was neuropathy. Not exactly an uncommon word in our diabetic prone society. Sometimes its words way more common than that. This makes no sense at all.

I'm on FF Beta v105.0b6, and a recent upgrade (I'm guessing from 104 to 105) has caused popup windows to be ghosted when saving files, leaving only the file selector field visible and floating above the main window, often indistinguishable from the text below it. I've been able to work around this by temporarily jumping to another screen or window and then back to find the complete popup window magically revealed.

I've attached two clips from windows a see after clicking Download link on the https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/ page. This ghost behavior also happens on pages where I right-click context to "save as" or click download link for TXT, PDF, PKG or other types of files.

This doesn't seem to be a popup blocking issue, since my FF is not configured to block these specific sites and the popup is minimally visible. Also, the temporary workaround of simply switching my view away and back points more to a page rendering issue.

I'd appreciate any ideas on resolving or preventing this behavior. If these clues point to a bug, I hope they help resolve the issue.

I've recently encountered a curious issue with my Firefox browser (Firefox version 102.0, Windows 11 Insider Preview 10.0.25145.1011). At seemingly random times it will freeze for between two and five minutes (roughly). UI elements become completely unresponsive and the cursor does not update when moving over the browser window. The window will not minimize. Yet, Windows Task Manager does not report the application as being unresponsive. While never a common problem, any freezes in the past would eventually cause the Windows Task Manager to identify it as unresponsive.

I have disabled "recommended performance settings" and hardware acceleration to no avail. Everything seems perfectly normal immediately before and after the freezes, and I've yet to identify how I can trigger them. I do not recall having made any changes to my browser before the freezes started occurring, though multiple Windows updates have taken place since then. If I'm too impatient to wait I will end the Firefox processes via Windows Task Manager and restart it so I can return to my tabs without having cookies deleted. I have 13 plugins mainly covering privacy/security concerns. Is there some sort of debug tool I can engage to see what's occupying Firefox while it's frozen? I've just found the Firefox Task Manager, and will see if it can offer any additional information during/after the freezes.

Yep sound strange but as I am scrolling a button disappears (aka a graphic css component?) and sometimes boxes show on clicks or hovers.

Not doing it with 2 other browsers, I am sure its doing since last upgrade for last few weeks. Turned off graphic acceleration.

The image shows the button, as I scroll it appears and disappears - if I stop on a certain place it has gone.

Boxes sometimes light, or dark ...

I have run a check on graphics card, no issues I can see with my gpu/cpu I can see.

I am a startup founder. I'm making a webgl rendering engine. I'm doing a stress test with 4 large paragraphs amounting to tens of millions of triangles on a macbook air. Firefox is on the latest version.

When I run the app in chrome/safari/opera, the performance is normal. ~45fps. But in Firefox, it's very slow. My FPS counter (in a requestAnimationFrame loop) says ~45fps on all browsers. But in Firefox, even though the counter says that, the real frame rate is ~3-5fps.

When I try to profile, the problem magically goes away and we're back to ~45fps. I played around with profiler settings, and the key determinant is whether or not I'm taking screenshots. No screenshots = slow. Screenshots = fast.

In the flame graph, in slow mode (no screenshots), it seems like I get stuck in the canvasRenderer and the Renderer mostly waits for it. But in fast mode (with screenshots), the canvasRenderer keeps up and the Renderer spents most it's time in: iokit_user_client_trap

I'm not sure what to do. This is only a problem on Firefox. There's some sort of gpu/threads/something that switches when I profile with screenshots that makes it way faster. This performance hit basically ruins my app for Firefox only. Any idea what I should do?

I am disappointed with the background change with updates. The last time I updated Firefox, I had to do a system recovery to revert back. Then another person expressed concerns with a new version taking control over updating. Why don't you have updates that give you options to choose the background color and who decides if and when you update? I will not update Firefox under these conditions. And I don't want to spend half a day trying to change my background back to white, and especially if would have to do that with every update. Like I have to change my printing options when I do updates! I have been so happy with Firefox for the last 20 yrs. or so, until all of this. Please make this more user friendly and optional.

Is there a way so that when I’m using private windows that the managed passwords will work? Even ever I’m in a private window I have to enter user ids and passwords for sites that I have the passwords saved. If I go to a normal window it works fine. This makes using private windows too annoying at times to even use.

When I clear my history, my accounts autofill email information. I check all the boxes including "Active logins" and "Form and search history". My emails and usernames and passwords still autofill on every website. Please help.
