I just signed up for the NORD VPN and the connection fails every time I try to log in. I am using windows 8 no windows 10 available for this computer. How do I do this?

Seems like this issue recurs every now and again. Right Click on a link and try to "Save Link As..." and Firefox hangs. All of my browsers started doing it in the last few weeks. Suspected PC Matic, as I had installed it recently, but disabling it did not help. Clear Cache and Default Settings seemed to once or twice but then problem persisted.

Looks like it's a bug in the pop-up blocker. Disabled it and "Save Link As..." again works perfectly. Same for all other browsers. Looks like pop-up block does not recognize "Save Link As..." as a permitted pop-up and the system call to File Explorer (Windows 8.1) has nowhere to go. Task freezes solid and can only be killed by Task Manager.

I am currently using someone elses computer because mine wont connect to the internet for some reason. But that computer should be getting fixed soon, so I wanted to take the bookmarks from this computer and be able to view them on my own later. Also, I fear I may have added too many bookmarks and add-ons because Firefox has been running extremely slowly lately. So I was going to give it a reset, which would result in losing everything. I can simply get the add-ons again but I want to be able to keep my bookmarks. I've been using an add-on called Session Sync, which bookmarks every tab you have open all at once. However, when I went to export those bookmarks, it says: "Saved session are stored as bookmarks. It's recommended to use Firefox Account to sync your bookmarks. Currenly you can only use Firefox Bookmark Manager (CTRL + SHIFT + B) to export/import all your bookmarks (which includes all Session Sync saved data). Session Sync detects automatically all updated bookmarks after an import."

So, I did what it said and exported my bookmarks but I signed in to my firefox account first. Perhaps that is what messed things up. Because now, every single bookmark I saved individually (not using Session Sync) is gone. When I look at my bookmarks, I see things I do not even recognize. I probably bookmarked them months ago, so I don't remember. There is certainly no trace of pages I have bookmarked recently, including today. When I take a look at the exported bookmarks, it's the same thing. None of the recent indivual bookmarks are there are absolutely none of the Session Synced bookmarks are there at all. So what happened to them? Why didn't Session Sync's bookmarks get included in the export like it said it would? Could have it been because I signed into my Firefox account which hadn't been used in a long time, so it swapped out the bookmarks on this computer with the ones from my account? I thought I'd try signing into this computers owner's account and hope things go back to how they were before but neither of us even new she had one or remember the password. I was going to reset the password but then it says we may lose all the bookmarks, which would defeat the purpose. But it only says it's a possibility. Is that true? Is there a good chance I will not lose them?

All I want is my bookmarks back and to be able to keep the ones from Session Sync. I did not expect this to turn into such a pain.

We can't download a file from GOOGLE DRIVE on Firefox and Firefox Nightly but we can download on GOOGLE CHROME. PLEASE SOLVE THIS PROBLEM ! ! ! Our firefox version is 87 and 88(Latest now). Also SOME EXTENSIONS are seeing LAGly.

for several pages I try to open recently on my laptop. I can open them on my phone. On of these pages was open an the tab was accidentally closed (cat) and now I cannot get past this message, except on my phone. I need to be able to open them on my laptop. 

Can anyone help? I have already contacted one site in particular who said there were no problems on their end.

I have experienced with a specific website where downloading images always prompts the save to the Downloads folder instead of staying in the folder where i need to set the downloads for.

meaning: a set of images when clicking on save, then selecting the destination folder and saving, works ok. But upon saving the next image from the gallery returns to the downloads folder.

Trying this from any other website, the last folder where the last image was saved is the one where the new image will be saved.

If from the website where im having this issue, i right-click then click on the image and select "view image" and click save, the browser.download.lastdir does work and the previously used folder shows up as the destination for download.

It occurs in Safe Mode as well. Is this a man in the middle attack, ISP throttling, or something else?

Whatever it is, it is very irritating. The firefox window freezes for 10 seconds after clicking a link. On Windows 8, Firefox 86.0, 64-bit.

Firefox recently updated automatically and when i went into the browser all my bookmarks are gone. i have tried restoring them from the most recent back up and they still don't load. i searched the blogs and go thru the troubleshooting options with no luck. this is very frustrating as i had tons of sites i don't visit often saved in the bookmarks which are not gone.

any assistance or guidance on how to get these back is appreciated.

The problem is with Firefox screenshots. Full page shots are working fine, but "Save Visible" and custom selections using the outlining tool are scaling at 71% instead of 100%. So, I'm only getting some of what I want.

How do I fix this? I didn't see anything in config about this.

I am receiving an error that firefox is out of disk space.

"firefox is running out of space"

Despite following the instructions the error still appears. I also clicked the "Got it" button in hopes that this would make the error go away, but it keeps coming back. My system has over 20gb free and I really can't see why this error is occuring.

Does anyone have any advice? (besides switching browsers)

Hi, i got a problem with Firefox 86.0 after last update. Firefox freezes when I switch video, skip ads or go to main page when any video plays on Youtube. But there's interesting thing: if i pause video first and then switch to another, all right. But if i don't pause, firefox freezes with 100% CPU load. I have never seen that problem before.

I tried these steps, but it wasn't helpful:

1. Disable recommended perfomance settings and hardware acceleration. 2. Clear cookie, cache and startup cache. 3. Safe mode with disabled plugins. 4. Refresh Firefox. 5. Full uninstall Firefox and install again.

I don't know what else i can try to solve this problem... Please, help!

For the past few days, i haven't been able to get into my Walmart MC account. I've never had a problem using Firefox before. The log in page started loading, but stopped on a white screen and never completed. Walmart told me to check my cookies and java, and suggested i try using chrome. I went to the last option first and logged in no problem. I like Firefox better than chrome, so does anyone know what i can do to make Firefox work on the page?

I ran the refresh Firefox in the uninstall wizard. I understood that my bookmarks would not be effected but they are all gone, is there any possibility of retrieving them?

I get the message, "Firefox prevented this page from automatically reloading." I want certain sites to automatically reload the page without having the button reappear every time.

How do I get Firefox 86.0.1 to allow pages to automatically reload?
