My extensive collection of bookmarks are organized into folders. How can I enter a bookmark into more than one folder? In searching, I see that others have been unsuccessful in finding an answer to this simple task. Although "copy" is a context option, the bookmark will not paste into a second folder. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hi, When start the Firefox 85 version, Bookmarks toolbar lags. I have checked with different computers, They are all same. 84 version does not have this problem so i rolled back to 84 until solved. Any idea? Thank you

The normal way to delete a bookmark is to click the bookmark (which loads the page), then click the three dots on the right of the url field after the page loads, then click the "edit this bookmark" icon, then select "remove bookmark". But a 404 redirect does not land on the bookmarked page and there is no "edit this bookmark" icon.

How do I delete a bookmark to a page that no longer loads? I want to keep other bookmarks intact.

As the subject line says, I want to determine the date that I added a specific bookmark. This was incredibly easy on my old Windows 7 machine with an older version of Firefox. You just clicked on "Bookmarks" at the top of the screen, then "Show All Bookmarks", "Views", "Show Columns" (ensuring that "Added" was checked) — et voilà, there it was!

Now, however, no matter what I try, I can't seem to figure out how to do this. And searching for an answer online has proven useless, as well. The only instructions I've seen refer to how I used to do it with my earlier version of Firefox.

Has the date that a bookmark was added also been deprecated/deleted from Firefox (along with the greatly missed cookie handling of yore)? Or am I just missing something obvious?

If anyone could tell me how to find the date I saved a bookmark, I'd be in your debt.

Hi. I have tried everything to move my saved bookmarks to a newly created user area on my pc. ...but i can't seem to locate them. ? I have even copied to and from a usb stick (html) and also copied to ms 'edge' and back out again !!! Can anybody tell me what i am doing wrong.? Please bear in mind you may be talking to a dummy (me) !! no matter what i have tried i cannot locate any of my old bookmarks in my newly created user area. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated. John

Hello. I have a (presumably) broken install of Firefox that never loads and I plan to totally uninstall Firefox (I have the beta version and I plan to get the normal version, unless you guys have a better solution to try), but first I just need to salvage my carefully curated bookmarks from this install before I nuke it (uninstall, do a clean-up, and reinstall a totally different version). Since normally once has to open the browser and enter settings (or bookmarks perhaps, I forget the exact process off the top of my head and clearly can't go look) to export bookmarks, I'm at a loss of how to accomplish this task. I've included a screenshot of what Firefox does when I open it. No amount of waiting does any good, this is all it does, and this is all it has done for over a year, despite numerous updates. Clearly the install is corrupted and I need to start fresh, but I need those bookmarks if at all possible. Is it possible? I've just switched to Chrome for the past year hoping it would eventually work itself out with an update, but that was clearly wishful thinking. I actually hate Chrome and would really like to get back to using Firefox, but I've let this linger for a year because I really do not want to lose those bookmarks and doing nothing and having a case of Schrodinger's bookmarks is somewhat better than having bookmarks that are gone forever.

My new folders are underneath my unsorted bookmarks. How do I move them to the top, to be with my other older folders. All the articles are only about how to move bookmarks. I've done that already.

I have lost all my old profile features after updating firefox,most important my bookmarks. I have tried all the stupid solutions suggested in support articles. My old profile folder exists in desktop but firefox can't see it.Moreover the restore option in bookmarks doesn't work. This is disabling and time wasting.

Why doesn't Shift + Delete delete a bookmark from a searchbar? Here is a simple example: Example of deleting history/bookmark

It works like a charm for history items but not for bookmarks. How to fix it? Maybe some options must be turned on? Since it is possible for deleting history items why it's not possible for bookmarks? Maybe you know any extension with this functionality?

Using "Rearranging manually" to edit bookmark order and organization no longer works, not normally or while in "show all bookmarks" window. I've found tons of similar questions but none address this specifically or give a solution. Tried safe mode, didn't help. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hello. I recently updated my GMail account password and updated its Firefox bookmark. But in the list of stored bookmarks, I see both accounts with their update dates. But they are always the same account, and not 2 different. I would like to clean up the bookmark list by removing the older one. How should I do?

I am a Golf Tragic and I hoard a lot of Golf Videos in my Bookmarks. Problem is now they are taking up too much space in my Bookmarks, so I am trying to work out how to set up in Bookmarks a generic Folder called Gold Stuff which will allow me to hoard all of these videos in just 1 spot. I recently updated Microsoft Office from 2016 to 2019. My bookmarks have been inflated, duplicated, ecc. The problem is when i eliminate the bookmarks that i donot need, they keep appearing / displaying again automaticaly. I have also said donot sync bookmarks but to no avail.

I have limited screen space and any time I add a bookmark to the bookmarks toolbar it opens and then I have to go to bookmarks and hide it again, is there any way I can stop this from popping up until I want to see it?

When I installed Firefox all my favorites from Windows came over as bookmarks. I want to separate these some how, because I don't want 50 bookmarks. What's the best way.

My bookmarks show Meet - iui-kuen-vgq. This is a video and I do not remember bookmarking it. I am concerned that it is a virus. My list of other bookmarks does not show this, but it does appear in the short book marks. I want to delete it without opening the bookmark. How do I do this. thanks

Hello everybody. So slowly I despair. I use the bookmarks on a PC and on a laptop and syncronize them. The entries double and triple with each start. I always restore from a backup and the next day it doesn't fit again. Do you have an idea? Many Thanks
