does anyone know what's causing these issues? is it just companies being hostile to firefox specifically or is something wrong?
i've cleared my cookies and cache, i've restarted several times, i've logged in and out of everything. i'm on version 120.0.1

The Firefox "New tab" page shows quick-navigation buttons. At the top right of each button, the 3-dot menu has an Edit option. On the edit dialog is a link "Use a custom image", which then prompts you for a image URL.
I've tried pointing this to images in my Google Photos (a 1024x1024 .JPG), using an open-shareable link, but it doesn't work.
a) What format does the icon image have to be in? b) Are there any limitations on the URL? c) Is there a way to use a locally stored icon image?
Any guidance would be most welcome! Thanks :)

I don't want to always be asked where I want to save files. I'm okay for all future files to be saved in my Downloads folder. I go to settings and remove the Check mark for "Always ask where to save files". But this setting does not survive a Firefox restart/exit. Why not?
How can I get firefox to preserve my preferred setting?

Hi Support,
I have always been struggling with the idea of syncing two devices, that is main and secondary devices, and that when logged out of the secondary device, user details such as passwords, booksmarks and other important things are left bare on that browser or secondary device.
It is my believe that, after completing whatever task that led users to sync both devices, the moment the user logs out on the secondary computer, or any of the computers, the passwords, bookmarks, history and other essential details should not display again on such computer or browser anymore but apparently thats not the case with Mozilla Firefox browser.
Kindly look into that and work on it....THE SECURITY AND SAFETY OF THE USER IS LEFT WIDE OPEN!!!

when i try to log on to my USAA bank accounts.
Tech support at the bank worked with me for an hour. We changed password, cleared the cache for the bank's apps, restarted Firefox, restarted the computer, all to no avail. I declined to try Google, simply because i don't trust it. Tech support person said another bank customer had had same problem and just changed browsers, which i don't want to do.
TIA for any help.

Hi, Every time I try to open Firefox, a window pops up and asks to let it make changes to my computer. I checked the properties and I am not running Firefox as an administrator, which is what all the help pages said is the problem. I do not want to change the settings in my computer that would make the pop ups asking to make changes go away, as that is a significant security risk. Surely there must be another way to fix this issue? I have used Firefox for years without this problem and it is only just now happening. I love Firefox but this extra step is extremely annoying. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

Hi Mozilla Suport teams, i am currently using the mozilla for the developer version and the app runs flawlessly, and i love it. But i have some suggestion for the developer at mozilla to make a tab that can group the tab into a fresh tab like the google chrome has, and since i open so many tab in this browser, i would absolutely love it where the feature of grouping tab is available for me, so i can group them in name and leave it there, rahter than open up more than 10+ tabs in a window. Thank you so much

I have long used multirow bookmark toolbar extension to give me 4 rows of bookmarks across the top of my Firefox window on Windows 10. After updating to this latest version, the extension is gone. Any mention of it in about:config is gone. I don't know if it ever was mentioned in userChrome.css but it's not there either. It's as though it never existed. WTH?
Can anyone suggest how to get a multirow display of my toolbar bookmarks? Thanks in advance.
On a related rant: This is why I hate upgrading Firefox. Something useful and common sense always breaks. I'm going to open a separate question to figure out how to get the cursor focus back into the Google search box when I open a new tab using Google as the home page. None of the previous solutions is working with this version. This break in basic functionality has happened after many different upgrades of Firefox and I am frankly sick of fixing the same ridiculous problem over and over.
I installed windows OS recently. after that i install firefox again and sign in to my firefox account but previous bookmarks don't sync. why?
For about a week or so, when I stream a TV show or movie the closed captioning keeps shutting off. I turn it back on and a minute of two later it shuts off again.
As the subject line says.... I want to transfer many open tabs and my bookmarks to a new laptop. Can I, and if so, how? Thanks!

When selecting "Open in Firefox" in the "What do you want to do with this file?" box or on about:preferences and then opening a PDF file on the web, instead of downloading the file to RAM and opening it with its online address, Firefox downloads the PDF to /tmp/mozilla_${USER}0 and opens it from there. This also adds it to the download history. I have set the about:config flag browser.download.start_downloads_in_tmp_dir to true so the files I just open and don't want to permanently download don't clutter my $HOME/Hämtningar (downloads) folder. I tried to first prevent that by selecting the default action to do when tasked to open a PDF, but that didn't fix it, so I set the about:config flag. Unfortunately, setting the default action stopped Firefox from opening a PDF inline without downloading it and I cannot find any option along the lines of "Preview in Firefox" (as described in this support article ).

Hello. I am setting up a site on Linux server using Apache as reverse proxy , with ASP.NET as application server . since installing SSL , I had few mixed content blocking that i was managed to fix using CSP directive in Apache configuration file. site has no issue with all browser except Firefox. the only issue is that in admin section , to configure a option. system will load a js file that simply a dropdown with list of options to choose from . when using Firefox , it tries to redirect that page to login page . for test , i clicked on the link i located in Developer tools , which directed me to login page , entered my credentials, and scripts loads showing the drop down box and ok button. is been 3 weeks i been looking for every solution and i have done everything .. but nothing have worked. now I am resort to having to use other browsers if i need to use that functionality in admin page. In page header file name : login , location : http://MYDOMAIN.ca/login?ReturnUrl=%2FAdmin%2FDiscountRulesCustomerRoles%2FConfigure%3FdiscountId%3D6%26_%3D1702682353293 , which are not correct . and browser such as Brave and Safari dose not show different path and file name and everything is correct. dose anyone know how to fix this .. ? i saw a solution mentioned as stated resting Firefox ,but can not find a way to reset , but i have reinstalled Firefox and constantly having this issue on this single section of the page . Thanks.
