According to the most recent update page, this function should be working for all users by now. (see attached screenshot).

It is still not working for me. Has the timeline been postponed? Is anyone else still unable to use this function?

I seem to have accidentally set up tab-groups, on desktop. Probably I fat-fingered a shortcut to group some tabs. This is a function I'll never intentionally use — since I'd rather not cut off my fat fingers, is there a way to permanently shut off tab-groups?

I have a strange problem and cannot find any reason for it.

On two different machines (with the same Firefox account, same extensions) I'm using tab groups, also in multiple windows (restoring them after launching Firefox).

In one installation I can close all tab groups without any problem.

In the other if it's the last open group, trying to close it (by clicking its header) opens a new, empty tab instead.

I'm pretty sure the settings of both installations differ but I cannot find any setting that would cause this behavior. It's especially annoying because with many open tabs I have to scroll through all to find the group I want to open instead, open it, scroll back to the other group header and close it.

Any pointers on where to start looking?

OK after the code breaking yesterday here is the new code I got that works.

I updated Firefox this morning to 139.0.4 on my Mac and now the '+' sign to add a new tab no longer appears on the tab bar. I can still add new tabs with Command T however.

Any suggestions on how to restore the '+' sign?

It seems firefox has changed the behavior of tabs. When I go to open a closed tab, I see a list of all the tabs that have been closed from every window. I want to restore the previous behavior where "recently closed tabs" only shows the tabs that were closed in the current window. I saw some about:config settings, but I'm not sure what they do and I don't want to end up losing the tab history all together.

When I middle-click a link in Firefox, it opens in a new tab, but it also switches me to that new tab immediately.

I’d prefer to stay on the current tab after middle-clicking, and just have the new tab open in the background just like google chrome does. Is there a setting to stop it from automatically switching?

When I search a subject from Google, I want the search tab to remain, and for a new tab to open when I click on a link. I don't want to open the link through the same search tab.

After researching, I tried to go through about:config and I changed the browser.search.openintab to 'true' but when I search it opens through the existing search tab.

I hope I am explaining this coherently. Can someone please help me?

There is no longer a 'search tabs' symbol at the top section of the Firefox browser page since I switched to the vertical sidebar for tabs and after searching for help the Mozilla suggestion of ctrl+B just tries to search bookmarks. Please can you help as I have many many tabs always open and use this symbol frequently. Thankyou

Hello, so I have been waiting for the Tab Groups feature and saw it should be available by the 6th of May, but after waiting, still no Tab Groups, I am not sure what to do or if there is a problem.

I have recently tried to use Firefox View button in order to quickly open pages that I have opened on my Android device, however I found that only some (random) portion of the tabs appear in the Firefox View under [tabs from other devices/my android device].

Is there any way I can change that behaviour? This is renedring the Firefox View kind of pointless, as I still have to open my phone to check whether there was maybe one more important page that I wanted to check out, that was not listed in the Firefox View on my PC. At that point, I could very well just see what were I at, on the android device, and just google stuff again. The mixed approch (some opened via Firefox View and some manually) is more time consuming than either of the approaches alone, so I would really appreciate help, as Firefox View seemed to be a time-saver - I believe I have something set erroneously somwhere. I am on firefox 125.0.3. 64-bit.

So I change the tabs maxim length (i chose 225) because i hate not seeing the name of the tabs that i have open, now i have 10 tabs on my sight on my monitor, i usually open a LOT of tabs for youtube videos or so on, and have a constant of 40+ tabs open

the issue is when i scroll through the tabs with my mouse wheel, it jumps 10 tabs at once, now i see the arrows on the side of the tabs, my monitor is Ultra Wide so is annoying to keep pressing that Scroll backwards & Forwards button especially when the speed is to slow, while my mouse wheel speed is in 10 tabs TO fast!

Is there a way to change the Speed of the mouse wheel scroll tabs ? something in about:config ? or a Add-on?

I have read a Mozilla blog that you can make tab groups now, i have tried to make a tab group and it for some reason i can't, i looked at Mozilla's guide for the Tab groups, they didn't help. Does anybody know how to fix this problem?

When I open a new tab, I can't automatically start searching anymore.

Now, I have to click into the search bar to type. That's annoying.

Anyone know how to fix this?
