Hello guys, 1 hour ago I downloaded firefox on my brand new laptop. Long story short, I needed put my gmail account in a site and it suggested me for importing it from my chrome account, I agreed and somehow I guess I agreed to importing literally all of my google chrome info into the firefox, which means passwords, history, bookmarks etc. It asked my premission and I agreed but now I don't want that, I want the browser to be like the first time I downloaded it - fresh new. Unfortunately, I did everything in my power to reset firefox, without a sucess. I am literally trying nearly a 1 hour to reset/delete all information that has been imported from chrome to firefox, tried to do that refresh firefox thing, tried reinstalling and installing firefox so many times, but it doesn't work and even says something like "looks you already had firefox", and no matter what I do my firefox still has all the bookmarks, passwords, history etc. from my google chrome. My question is: How do I stop firefox from importing my data from chrome and just starting browsing fresh new?

• If you ask, I must say that I didn't login into a mozilla account on firefox or something, I didn't sync anything, I have just imported one time my data from google chrome to firefox and now I can't get rid of it*

I have an add-on ad blocker for youtube and have never gotten ads. This afternoon that stopped. I get ads with every video I click and there is no 'skip ad' on the screen. I added another top rated youtube add blocker, quit firefox and then opened it again. Before, if I clicked a video it started an ad and I could go back and then hit the video again, but now that doesn't work, but if I select to show the video in a new tab, there are no ads in that tab. What can I do to make the ads stop like they used to and never appear? Yes and my OS is Ubuntu 22.04

Firefox suddenly quit opening or running on one of my computers. I have tried to reinstall firefox to now avail. I now get a message saying it can't load profile. I would like to do a complete clean reinstall but cannot fine a way to do that.

I AM UNABLE TO LOG ON TO USAA.COM. THE ERROR MESSAGE SAYS "WE ARE UNABLE TO COMPLY WITH YOU RE REQUEST." THE WEB SITE CUSTOMER SERVICE SAYS MY PASSWORD IS CORRECT AND THE SITE IS WORKING. PER THEIR ADVISE ALL HISTORY HAS BEEN DELETED AND THE COMPUTER HAS BEEN RESTARTED. THE SAME PROBLEM EXISTS ON ANOTHER DEVISE CONNECTED TO THE SAME WI-FI. PLEASE HELP. ACCESS TO OTHER SITES IS WORKING. THE SITE IS NOT BLOCKED AS FAR AS I CAN TELL.

I have to create a new question because when I try to reply to the answers I received the system comes up with an error page.

My version of Firefox is 120.0.1 and has been downloaded from the Mozilla website.

The problems occurs with all PDF file both local and from the internet.

The attachments are highlighted in blue in t he opened PDF file but cannot be opened. There is no way to click on the attachments.

Hi, Avast Antivirus keeps giving me this warning every few minutes. I have never visited the site in the URL and it seems to keep appearing regardless of anything I do. Is anyone else getting this? Does anyone know how to fix it?

macOS (and I assume Windows and Linux as well) supports local URL schemas. For instance, Apple supports the "applefeedback://" URL as a way to launch the macOS Feedback Assistance app.

If I have a link to this on a web page, or if I put it in a bookmark, Firefox will ask for confirmation and will then launch Feedback Assistant. This part works great.

But if I type that URL into the location bar, Firefox always sends it to my configured search engine. It doesn't recongize it as a valid URL. And in the popup list of suggestions, there is no option to just go there and not search for it. See the attached screen shot.

I don't want to disable location-bar searching altogether, because it is really useful, but I think there should be a way, on a case-by-case basis, to tell Firefox that I really want it to treat the entire text as a URL. The simplest approach is probably to have an extra row on the popup suggestion list that I can click on to open the text as a URL or produce an error if there is nothing in Firefox or the OS that can resolve it.

Hopefully this won't be too difficult to support. I think it would be extremely useful.

I want to disable Norton Safe Search. I followed Inst. Menu, add ons, extension tab, clicked the 3 dots & then delete. Restarted my computer, but it's still there. I definitely need help.

When visiting HP.com - US-English site and signing in to my account, it opens fine - in English - but if I click on links, it connects to sites in a different link. I tried it on Microsoft Edge and it worked fine. It's only on Firefox that I have the problem.

I asked a question earlier about being blocked from a site that I frequent while using Firefox but not when using Edge. I don't use Edge much but another difference has become apparent. Many of the sites like news sites an information sites seem to take longer to open than they used to on Firefox, I can see little icons going back and forth in the tab at top. Normally this lasts for ten seconds or so then the site I was after appears. I was on Edge and noted that this was not happening. I spent several minutes going back and forth and I definitely have an issue with Firefox. I have Windows 10 running on an old desktop. I use Express VPN I use BitDefender In Firefox I use Adblock Plus, Ghostery, I use Duck Duck search

Do I need a new version of Firefox or what? It says it is up to date 121.0.1 Have been using Firefox for years and not had any issues like these. Mark

When using Microsoft Outlook Online, I cannot right click and paste into the body of the email when using Firefox. The paste function does not even show up as an option. This use to work until I downloaded the most current version of windows 11. I can CTRL V and it will paste. It works on Edge and other browsers.

Yesterday, I put my laptop in hibernate mode like I always do. When I turned it back on, I was greeted by Microsoft asking me to install Windows 11. Of course, I declined the offer several times. I then noticed that everything I had opened was now closed. So I opened everything up again, including Firefox.

My laptop has a wide-gamut display, and colours look oversaturated by default. It's one "feature" of this computer that I don't like. So, anyway, I had to fiddle with the color management settings in Firefox to get page elements like images and text not to look blindingly saturated. Aside from videos still being unchanged, the settings worked great for many months. Now, suddenly after this push for Windows 11, the color management has seemingly gone back to what it was like before I got it looking right. Nothing I change has any effect. Change settings. Restart browser. Nothing. Repeat that process until I'm ready to launch my laptop out the window.

I closed out and then re-opened Firefox. I refreshed the browser. I rebooted the system. Nothing. All color management settings don't take any effect.

Over the last five hours, I have gotten 27 emails from Firefox Monitor for this data breach, for the same email address. I have already marked the breach as resolved in Monitor but I keep getting emails. Is there anything I can do about it?

Hello All I took my box to best buy because it was not working properly. They replaced the drive now I have no access to the passwords saved in firefox. Is there any way to get them back ? I have the old drive ! Any help greatly appreciated Gary

Ten sam problem występuje, gdy muszę potwierdzić logowanie do innych stron internetowych za pomocą konta Google. Po prostu nie da się nigdzie zalogować. Ten problem nie występuje w innych wyszukiwarkach. Moderator Firefox odpowiedział -"This does not sound like an issue with Firefox, but is something that the Google support team should be able to help you with" Na stronie www.google.com pojawia się ikona zalogowania, ale i tak nie wszystkie usługi związane z Google są dostępne. Pliki cookie są włączone. 25.12.2023 ten problem nie istniał. Próbowałam przywrócić Firefox na wcześniejszą datę instalacji, ale to nic nie dało. Rozszerzenia i wtyczki odinstalowałam. I have Firefox version 100.0 (64-bit) and version 122.0.1 (64-bit) installed somehow. Both versions when you click on Help>About Firefox say they are up to date.

I can uninstall the 122.0.1 version. I cannot uninstall the 100.0 version.

100.0 says it is up to date but in the top right corner there is a box that says: Update available Firefox couldn't update automatically. Download the new version - you won't lose saved information or customizations.

If I tell it to download I get the 122.0.1 version installed separately from the 100.0 version.

How do I get only ONE installation of Firefox?

i cannot print any web page from Firefox. The print option only offers me the option to save as PDF. Firefox is not detecting either my Brother laser printer or my Epson inkjet printer. if i use the print using system dialogue option fire fox shows a printer screen which has a simple entry of line prntr. If that is selected nothing at all happens. Clearly Firefox cannot detect my printers. If I save the web pages to a PDF file then open that file I can then get the normal system printing options and print the page. But all that does is clutter up my file system with files I will only ever use once. This proves the problem is clearly in Firefox and in its inability to detect system printers. I have tried all the suggestions from the help screens to no avail. Is there any other means of sorting this print problem.
