I have always been a Firefox or Mozilla supporter, now I'm confused as I do use Microsoft Edge and others to support my apps such as Word, Excel, and others. The password thing about using traditional methods and now seems like a lot of people are using Google or Apple to log in really has made my life miserable. Where do I go from here?

Firefox recently sent out its monthly newsletter (Oct '25) with all sorts of options that can be enabled on Firefox. I'm a computer illiterate & foolishly chose some of the options -- don't remember which nor know how to discover them.

Now javascript is no longer enabled on my MacBook Air (macOs Big Sur 11.7.10). I cannot access my protonmail account and many many other sites.

I've gone cross-eyed accessing "fixes" that are labelled "only for advanced users" & am bright enough to not even try.

Is there a simple fix (short of wiping my computer -- with data going back 11 years) that even I can do?

The layout of YouTube was different from before. In the past, after the YouTube video was over. The MAIN WINDOW within YouTube page would showed two rows of recommendations. Now there is only one row with great amount of black-out space at top and bottom. Any suggestion to tune it to the usual two rows?

I am writing to urgently request your assistance regarding a critical data loss issue with my Firefox account.

Recently, I reset my Firefox account password because I could not remember the original one. However, I was not informed or clearly notified during the reset process that resetting my password without a recovery key would result in the permanent loss of my synced data, including saved bookmarks, passwords, and other browser data.

Unfortunately, this Firefox account was the only place where I had stored this important information, and I had no separate backup of the data elsewhere. I understand that for security and encryption reasons, data cannot always be recovered—but I believe users should be more explicitly warned during the password reset process.

I have been using Firefox for many, many years. As of late I find it is constantly slowing or freezing and when I check with taskmanager I find Firefox has opened and is running as many as 85 processes. I have tried the recommended methods of limiting it...but the performance options do not provide the ability to limit processes as set out in the instructions....and changing the browser.tabs.remote.autostart to false also did not work. If I can't fix this, I will have to stop using Firefox. I am using version 144.0

When using the the chat especially when on either of my laptops. I think it would be useful to be able to minimize/hide the chat but not have it completely close so you can stay in the same session.

In my head I see it working by adding a simple minimize button next to the close button. When it minimizes, the icon for the chat can stay highlighted to alert that it is still active. Also, when switching from chat to other options like bookmarks, history or tabs. If there is a current chat open it should use the minimize behavior so the same chat is still active when you navigate back. So essentially the only time the chat closes or resets is when you close it.

I am trying to set up a profile however when I click the account icon the profiles menu item does not show up like it says on the manage firefox profiles guide. I am updated to latest firefox version.

I have Firefox installed on both my desktop and my laptop. On my laptop, I am able to create and manage profiles; however, on my desktop, there is no option available in the menu (the hamburger menu) to do so.

I have verified that both devices are running the latest version of Firefox, which includes the profile management feature, but I am still unable to access it on my desktop.

Hello, I just purchased a new desktop computer. I have passwords and bookmarks that I would like to move over to the new computer. Can this be done or do I have to manually move each item. It would be so much easier to recapture all. Thanks for you help.

Hello, The bar at bottom of my home screen is missing. The whole bar is gone. This bar had the windows icon with start-up menu, Power, button etc. That bar also included date and time, and other features. Once, I clicked the bottom of the screen and it came up for one second, but disappeared. How can I retrieve it? Thank you for any help you can provide.
