Убрал галочку в настройках с "Всегда выдавать запрос на сохранение файлов", он все равно при каждом сохранении спрашивает куда сохранить. Как теперь сохранять файлы без этого запроса?

I have windows 10. Every time I download a file and then go to open it, I get "File Download-Security Warning" this is new and never got that before. How do i eliminate the warning . This only happens when using Firefox..Chrome works fine. I have tried everything and changed more setting in the registry that i can count and have asked Perplexity and Grok plenty of questions with no positive results.

Hi, on my new PC with Windows 11 Firefox shows "save as" window after the download is complite. How can I change it so that this window appears before download starts?

Since around April 2026 , the "Show in folder" option (in "Display the progression of ongoing downloads") does not work anymore when a file is downloaded on a NAS drive . I use a Qnap TS-231P NAS .

Can you please enlighten me on the internal protocol FF follows when downloads are set to "Always ask you were to save files"? I want that dialog to always default to the previously used folder, but it only does that about 70% of the time (in my guesstimation). The rest of the time it randomly decides it doesn't want to do that and it will pop up the Windows Downloads folder instead.

Sometimes it will do that even right in the middle of a mass-download session where I'm downloading, say, 15 items, doing the right-click/save thing, and after 10 items in which the Save-to dialog has defaulted to the folder I want, it will suddenly decide that it wants to go back to Windows Downloads, and because I'm on autopilot with my keystroke routine, I might go through all 5 final downloads before I notice that it's not saving to the right folder anymore. This is EXTREMELY annoying.

What prompts my current post is that I've just started another session of about 10-15 downloads, but this time I'm five files in and FF is still refusing to default to my desired folder. It's not uncommon for it to take two tries before the folder I want sticks, but not five. It's now officially way uncool to continue navigating there every single damn time.

So please tell me why this happens.

And no, please don't recommend that I temporarily change the default downloads folder and just set it to permanently download there, then change it back to "Always ask" after each session. First, that's an unworthy kludge. Second, I always change the filenames of downloaded files--if nothing else, I always remove underscores or spaces to conserve filename length because I've been severely bitten by that limitation once too many times. Therefore I must use the "Always ask" dialog. It's why I don't usually use Downthemall, fab piece of software though it be.

Trying to download a QFX file to an account in my Quicken Classic file. I have done it 100's of times without issue. Now Firefox is downloading the file as a PDF not a QFX. How do I correct the error? Instead of the data from the bank downloading to my Quicken account, this shows on my screen. "PDF VIEWER PLUS SE" "CANNOT OPEN FILE C:/users/herb/downloads/transactions-68.qfx" How can I fix this?

I have personal files on rapidgator.net & premium account. if i try to download one of this files on firefox my speed is only 2-4Mb/s if i try to download with JDownloader the speed is 45-55Mb/s (one single file) This has been happening since October 2025...

I just wanted to highlight a thing constantly bothering me while saving file through the browser.

Whenever I try to save file by default "UTF-8" is adding at the start of the file name I wanted to save.

Kindly look into this.

After migration to new PC I created the default folder for Downloads as the Desktop. As during a rebuild the Dowload Folder is deleted. I deleted the Folder " Downloads". I now want to change the default back to a new folder called Downloads. I cannot in Settings get it to take this folder, cannot delete the existing folder (C:\Users\James Euler\Desktop\Downloads). How should I proceed to return to Downloads, or where should I place the new folder "Downloads" so that it becomes the default location for each download? Where should this Download Folder be located?Thanks in advance, as I had no problem making the new default. James

Hello to everybody, I repeat my question and hope it can besolved persistantly: Opening local .mdb files (MS Access database) does no longer work in Firefox 139, but was ok in previous releases. The only choice is to save the file rather than opening it with the application MS access. Under Firefox settings/applications the file type .mdb does not appear, nor do I have a choice to decide how to open it. I expect to find an entry for .mdb files where to choose "always ask" as was the case earlier. Please help! Regards Volker Zipp

I have my Firefox browser set to ask me where I would like to save my downloads. However, it never asks me. It just automatically sends everything to my downloads folder then opens the file in a new window. I then have to go into my downloads folder and save it where I want to save it. So I must go through the saving process twice. Given that I download a lot of files for my business, this gets real old real quick. I don't have this problem with Chrome. I would like to stick with Firefox, but I'm going to have to make a change if I can't get this issue fixes.

Anyone know if the Firefox app will be in the Microsoft Store soon for download?

I bought a new computer and if I download the app from the website I will permanently be taken out of S mode (I’m sure you guys are aware of this issue).

Im hoping the app will be available through the Microsoft Store very soon because I only use the Firefox browser on all of my other devices.

Is there a way around it other than permanently switching out of S mode and downloading? I’m aware I can do that but prefer not to.

Can you please assist with the following download issue?

Firefox often, though not always, is very slow to download files, and when this occurs, I am unable to search by others tabs etc. I can download the same file using Edge on the same computer "instantaneously". Firefox returns to normal operation ~ 10 seconds after I cancel the download.

I unsuccessfully attempted to search for solutions.
