I am having icloud calendar issues in the firefox browser. Recently apple changed some of how their calendar looks in a browser. At the same time I began noticing icloud calendar events are getting messed up in firefox. Events from the day before are often missing. Events on the current day are 5 hours later. However, if in another browser, like Brave & Chrome, the calendar events are correct. I prefer to use Firefox. I can't figure out how to understand Developer Tools - Network Tab - Response Time for XHR API-calls.

As far as I can see, the column 'Response Time', measure the time in hours, minutes, seconds the user has spend on this website, instead of measuring the time it took for the XHR call to return to the browser.

I'm a professional web-developer - being comfortable with using and understanding F12-Developer tools across browsers.

My places.sqlite file deleted all previous history on Jan 17th at about 11:07 PM all the way back to early December of 2023. Ccleaner was last run on Jan 11th and the browser settings are set to clear cache and cookies only. The computer was showing no issues and I did not discover the lost history until I pulled up the history four days later. The history identified only the past four days when the last week was selected. The sessionstore-backups folder showed files back to January 1st. What I cannot figure out is why the places. sqlite would just clear on its own and why I cannot activate any previous sessionstore file by following the mozilla firefox instructions below.

I only get the landing page with the option to restore the previous session grayed out. What common reasons are there for a places.sqlite file to wipe out a block of history and why would reactivate a previous session not work? Thanks!

Many files and folders have accumulated under the <profile>/storage/archives/0/ folder. The root folders therein are apparently named according to the yyyy-MM-dd date format. The dates range from ca. 1-2 years old.

The only information I could find about this folder was via ChatGPT, but that is not a reliable source of course.

Can I safely delete these folders and/or exclude them from a profile backup?

I like Firefox / Mozilla. However, Chrome wants to be my default and I want to stay with Firefox / Mozilla. When I click on a link in my email or an article with a link, Chrome takes over! It has been happening for about a week or 2, and I don't want it to happen. Do you have any ideas about how I can stop this, please?

Our university uses a box.com app. It's basically box but personalized for our use. I have a number of documents that I cannot open using Firefox. When I switch to Chrome, I am able to access the documents. Any ideas? I'm thinking there is a setting in Firefox I need to change, but not sure which one.

We have deloped a search engine https://caziti.com. Our main focus is on privacy and integrity. We are far from a perfect search engine but our target is more on tech and be able to deliver unique search results, since our search engine has been completley built by us, and we are not dependant on any third parties, makes us able to do this. How would we go about being a predefined search engine in the firefox browser?

After Firefox update I cant se my work computer via Chrome remote desktop When i Log in there´s onlya grey page and i cant see my desktop on my work computer This have been working for 4 years but not the last 2 months

In sites such as Instagram and LinkedIn (these were the ones I noticed this happening), after I close an overlay containing a post and its comments by clicking outside of it, it starts selecting everything, as if I'm holding the mouse button. Clicking again stops selecting. And as fas as I know, this is only in Firefox (doesn't happen in Chrome nor Edge).

I've tried disabling all extensions, and it still happens.

When use chrome I can double click with select IP address. But It's only select one number in Firefox. I think the chrome behavior is more compatible habits of people.

I know layout.word_select.stop_at_punctuation config . But It's not. In chrome, only dot will be part of number.

for example: this is a IP: 1.1.1.1, you can try it.

in chrome will get: this is a IP: "1.1.1.1", you can try it.

but in Firefox only select 1

Firefox will not let me log in to my Lowe's account nor my Petsmart account. I have no trouble using other browsers. Is this a settings issue or a issue between Firefox and those websites?

I tried changing my IP address with a free IP address in Network Settings but that didn't work (because I searched my address online and it didn't change) so I added Firefox "Hide my IP" extension and that didn't work, either. I went to a few websites and I got popups telling me I needed to hide my IP address. How can I change my IP address without paying for a VPN?

I have a Ledger Nano S crypto wallet. Not all cryptos show directly in my Ledger and I wish to use MetaMask to view them. When using Chrome, with my Ledger connected and active, my Ledger doesn't connect due to "unknown error". When using Firefox, with my Ledger connected and active, my Ledger similarly doesn't connect due to "unknown error" although in this case there was an additional screen note from Firefox regarding "ongoing problems connecting Ledger devices to MetaMask (origin April 23?)". When using Brave browser there is not a problem viewing my tokens (although a different problem is that I lose token upgrade functionality - hence my desire to connect Ledger to MetaMask using a different browser - preferably Firefox). I use the latest versions of the browsers and Windows 10 in conjunction with Avast One anti-virus. I’ve also cleared cookies and cache several times. All drivers and software are up to date. Any thoughts on rectifying my connection problem please?

So recently i downloaded Mozilla firefox on windows vista which is a old version and i had also downloaded the same version on windows 10 now the problem is that the browser in both the computers are using profanity such as "porn" i am 15 and i am not Ecstatic and now when i try to delete it i cant its using way too many vulnerable language and also it says welcome humans we come in peace and I had downloaded from this site "https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/". That is my problem i hope u find a solution and ping me on my mail. Because of which my laptop is not even running. After this incident i dont even know if i will use mozilla any more. Thank you
