I have three computers on a home network. All 3 have Firefox on Windows 11 Bookmarks on Two are in sync. The third will not. When I login it has my email and password but creates a new profile.

Hello, I had checked the option to open all previous tabs at every startup of firefox. Then I logged in to my account, which evidently had in the previous settings of the previous browser that option disabled. Guess which configuration held the priority to impose itself. Why the old one of course. So I lost most (why not all? I can't tell) of my tabs. The recovered ones were recovered through ctrl+shift+t. Thank you.

I use Firefox (139.0.4 (aarch64)) on my Mac as my daily browser. I also use Firefox as my primarly browser on iOS (139.1 (56110)). My passwords simply don't keep synced between the two. I'm logged in to both using the same Mozilla account. Some passwords sometimes sync. But many are missing on iOS, and many that are there are out of date. I've done the usual like logging out and in again, I've tried forcing sync manually, passwords are set to sync on both devices. This has been going on for years now and I'm at the point where I'm going to have to switch browsers as I can't keep not having access to my passwords on my phone. Any ideas on how I can fix this? I use Firefox on many computers in many locations and they all use the account sync feature. However, at one location, a school, there's a filtering system in place called Securly. To get through the school filters, you have to download a certificate and install it. I do that, and web browsing works fine. But, syncing does not work. It's as if the syncing feature doesn't use the installed certificate. So, to sync, I have to use my phone hot-spot from time-to-time. It's a big pain, however, when I've set or changed a password at the school and expect it to be available in all my other computers but I've forgotten to do the manual sync before I left. Is there a way to get the sync process to use the installed certificate?

just setting up new PC . I have been using firefox for many years across a dozen different devices . Usually I dont have problems but firefox on this pc is not working correctly

Since I started syncing Firefox on my IPhone, every time I close and open my Windows desktop Firefox, my sync account gets disconnected and I have to login in and put the annoying verification code every time. It gets disconnected only on the desktop side and not on the Iphone. It's pretty annoying. Any ideas why this happens? Thanks in advance.

Heya. As the title says, the sync between firefox on my phone (android) and on my pc only works one way.

I can only access PC tabs/history from my phone but not vise versa. It was working at some point but I don't remember exactly when it stopped.

Just clicking "syncronise" in the options on PC results in an endless loading icon for the sync.

I tried updating Firefox on both my PC and phone but they are both up to date.

I tried to re-sync my phone, got prompted to a QR code, but "sync and save data" is not actually an option on firefox for android unless it's nested somewhere odd.

This is not the end of the world I guess as my bookmarks still seem to be synced at least, but I'd like to know what's going on here and how to re-sync without being prompted to an unusable QR code.

Issue is just what the subject says - when I restart my computer, Firefox sync logs out and my browser resets to defaults. When I open my browser it's as if I'm setting it up for the first time.

I am signed into Firefox on two computers, but this is only happening on one of them. The setting to 'Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed' is not checked.

Any idea what could be causing this? Thanks in advance.

wenn ich an meinem iOS Handy einen Tab an meinen Rechner sende, dann kommen die Tabs nicht mehr an. Früher ging es ohne Probleme. Leider kann ich nicht eingrenzen, seit wann das so ist.

Wenn ich aber vom PC Tabs an mein Handy sende, dann kommen diese an.

Hat jemand eine Idee?

Hi I have mozilla running as primary for my imac and my 2007 macbook pro that is dying. I've just got a macbook air to replace the macbook.

The imac and macbook pro share th account and passwords just fine. I try to put the correct password into the air, it says incorrect password.

Fine. I do a whole 2 step authentication for resetting the password. Sign in on air. Now macbook pro is saying incorrect password. Fine. Put the same password in, it now says incorrect password.

Every time I change the password on the account, one of ht computers accepts it, the other does not.

I realy just need 2007 to work long enough to get the junk I need off it, and then it will be retired. Fine. But I cannot get the macs to all agree that the password for mozilla is the password-- even tho it's the correct password, says incorrect.

I haven't checked the imac, but knowing my luck it will now say i'm logged out cos incorrect password.

All I want is to sync the mozilla account for all three computers (before I reset this 2007 one and then recycle it).

Help would be appreciated for this luddite. thank you!

It would be nice if the sync function actually synced something other than just my bookmarks and my browsing history between my Firefox installations. I mean, I checked all the boxes, so theoretically it should...but no...it never does. Toolbars don't sync -- I know, for some reason that's "by design" (or laziness?) -- Settings don't really sync much (maybe a few do when the moons of Jupiter and Uranus are in perfect alignment).

Could you maybe consider syncing the various exception lists in the Settings?

So I asked a question already about my browser, not syncing to my laptop properly or at least I don't think it is. It's the bookmarks on the homepage I have the rows of bookmarks where I just double click and go to my website that I want. Well, when I got my laptop, I downloaded Firefox and I synced everything to my laptop and it worked great including all my bookmarks in the rows. but now it just won't sync the bookmarks I have in the ROWS i have on the home page I would hate to delete the browser and then reinstall just have all my bookmarks in the rows that I want. I waited a whole day and a half to see if it would sync and it would not. Why is this the only part not syncing all my other bookmarks sync up including my passwords I also checked the settings in Firefox and everything I want has the box check marked. Also, I don't know how to reply back to anybody who helps me. The examples of the picture these are the types of bookmarks I'm talking about if I change it on my desktop, it will not change on my laptop.

I recently set up Firefox Sync on a new laptop. While most logins synced properly, my saved login for diseaseandmedicationawareness.com didn't transfer. The site opens fine, but Firefox doesn't auto-fill the credentials like it does on my old device. I've manually synced a few times, but no change. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

I have Firefox synced on two laptops. In the sidebar menu, when I look at tabs, I see tabs from the other device, but when I look at bookmarks, I only see bookmarks from the device I'm on. Neither can I see synced bookmarks in Manage Bookmarks. In the Settings, in "Manage what syncs on all your connected devices", I have Bookmarks checked. How do I see my synced bookmarks?

bold text WHY THE FOOK DOES NOT MOZILLA BOOKMARK SYNC NEVER WORKS???

Lately, mobile firefox has messed up everything. If i look at bookmarks, theyre mostly there, but arrangement is nonsense. Not alphabetical, not in any order. just thrown in randomly into bookmark folder it looks like. VERY HARD to find any bookmarks.

Bookmarking stuff on desktop, then going to phone and trying to sync bookmarks, having to log out and relog in to mozilla sync for about 10 times on both mobile and desktop, and at some point it randomly might sync bookmarks, but if it does, it also messes them up. and impossible to find anything in bookmarks.

Seems almost like someone took a bookmark files in hand and shuffles them a lot, and then placing back, to mix up their order totally.

WHY?

Ive been using mozilla for years and years now, but lately in past 2 years, mozilla, especially mobile version, is NON WORKING PIECE OF CRAP...

So fed up with this issue im too freaking tired to explain it better. SYNC DOES NOT WORK, AND WHEN IT DOES IT MESSES UP EVERY BOOKMARKS ORDER, PLACING OLDEST AS NEWEST AND SECOND OLDEST INTO MIDDLE PART, NEWEST INTO SOMEWHERE IN BETWEEN, scrolling trough all 100 bookmarks to find the latest one you just added, makes no sense whatsoever.
