Hello, I have a weird issue on my new PC with Windows 11. In Windows 10 it didn't happen at all. When I download any file to my desktop folder, it doesn't appear there. I need to manually right-click and refresh to see the downloaded file. It's very annoying and it happens only on Firefox, other browsers don't have this issue. Is there any way to fix it?

URL links in Mac Mail have suddenly stopped opening when the Firefox app is not running. Clicking on a link will open Firefox, but will stay on the homepage and not continue to the clicked URL.

Like many people, I have professional and personal email accounts. A long time ago, before Pocket was a part of Firefox, I created a Pocket account associated with my personal email address. And, at some point I associated Firefox with my professional email address. Now that Pocket is a part of the Firefox family and there is a push to use the Firefox login as the Pocket login, I'd like to unify these accounts. The Pocket login using my personal email address has clearly now become its own Firefox account. So, when I try to make one email address the secondary for the other Firefox account, that is disallowed with the popup saying that the account (associated with that email) already exists. Is there a simple solution? Or, is the easiest way to continue having two Firefox accounts, one I only use for Pocket?

This is a Question for the Developers, and other Hackers!! Video Streaming Not Playing (Disney/Hulu/Prime/Vudu) Anything that uses Digital Rights Management (DRM) Content... YouTube works fine.. oddly..

I troubleshooted Resets,clearing cache, spoke to support from Disney on the phone, and finally reinstalled windows. Everything works.. Then applied my drive space hack. And everything is broken again.. Simple Hack, got the idea from Linux. I changed the C:\Program Files & C:\Program Files (x86) into Hard-links/Junctions to the D:\Program Files & D:\Program Files (x86).. And now the videos will not play... There must be some coding that monitors the Drive letter, maybe for pirating protection, I have no Idea... But I'd love to at the very least know why this happens.. I will plan to upgrade my SSD in the near future to prevent the need to move Program Files, It's just really annoying that a simple thing like steaming is now broken because the programs are installed on the D: Drive... Like WTF is going on.. Anyway, if someone has some incite into why, and a possible work around that would be great.

I have a couple of computers that are not allowed to have full access to the internet.

I've added the following URLs to the whitelist on my firewall:

aus5.mozilla.org and mozilla.org.

So far the only thing that has happened is the browser is able to tell that a new versions available but it's stuck downloading the update with zero progress.

I've seen some five or seven year old posts that claim I have to have the following URLs whitelisted:

aus.mozilla.org aus2.mozilla.org aus5.mozilla.org ftp.mozilla.org archive.mozilla.org download.cdn.mozilla.net mozilla.org mozilla.net mozilla.com

But since these are from a 5+ year old post I would like to know if these are still valid? And if not then what URLs are valid?

Favicon is not appearing in Firefox Popup window though they are appearing in normal tabs. In Popup browser window it is showing the default Mozilla Firefox icon. I want to know if Firefox is not supporting Favicons for Popup windows or what we need to do make the Favicon appear in Firefox browser Popup window. I am using the following line of code for Favicon-

With the same line of code other browsers are showing the Favicons correctly in Popup windows It just the Firefox having the issues.

Just recently I noticed that if I click a desktop shortcut or email link, it opens Firefox to the home page. The only way a shortcut will open the specific page is if Firefox is open already. This happens if I select opening a link in a new tab or new page. Again, this never used to happen until very recent.

Also, this only happens with Firefox on my Mac. On Windows, Firefox doesn't need to be open already in order for the shortcut to open the specific page.

I just filled all of this out. When I clicked on Submit everything disappeared and the boxes are now red. Really, I have to go through all of it again. Oy! The box with applications for my downloads used to have one or two or three. What is Word 97-2003 doing there? Why is my phone an option? I didn't give Firefox my number. That's one problem. This issue makes my skin crawl. If I have to fill out a form on a new website all I have to do is type J and my full name, all of my email addresses, my physical address, and phone number appear in little boxes below the lines of the form. This is new and i really don't like it. Why, out of nowhere, is my information avaiblabe on the entire internet? If I hit Submit and these boxes turn a new color I will start screaming.

I disabled all extensions today to troubleshoot a website and all of my Firefox container data is GONE!

Luckily, I have a second computer with Firefox that was synced earlier today before I did this.

I have put that computer #2 into airplane mode and have not opened Firefox in fear that a new sync will overwrite the data.

So far, I have saved "containers json" and "cookies sqlite" from computer #2 profile folder

Then, I backed up "containers json" and "cookies sqlite" from computer #1 profile folder (this is the computer I'm using now with the broken containers)

I have placed "containers json" and "cookies sqlite" from computer #2 and overwritten them on computer #1

The container names are back, and some of the containers remember the site logins, but some don't, and none of the websites will open in the specifically chosen containers from before.

Is there a way to restore the sites that were logged in and which sites auto-open with the specific container?

(This question should be directed at Google too.) I was watching a video the other day on Archive.org and the name Kevin Farley was mentioned; spoken, no subtitles/annotations. I paused watching the video and did a Google search on my Firefox. I typed in the word "Kevin" and the first suggestion was Kevin Farley. How is this possible? That can't be the first suggestion unless the video player on Archive.org and Google are communicating with each other. Anyone can think of several Kevins who are actors such as Kevin Farley, but more well-known than this brother of Chris Farley who, for that matter, was very well known. I don't believe that there are hidden microphones inside my computer or anything like that, but – in all seriousness: how the heck does this thing work? Is Google listening to me? And if it is, that means Firefox is allowing it to listen to the stream of audio through my sound card. (At least the line out. Maybe I should try and see whether the line in and mic in are doing the same and play a vocal sample from an external source/device saying "Kevin Farley" or speaking those words through a plugged-in microphone and see how Google responds to that.)

On Firefox's settings (privacy) I have not allowed any site to use my microphone, speakers or camera. On my sound device's settings videos, music and everything I do audiowise is going through "microphone", although I'm plugged in on the rear panel of my PC only to line in and line out i.e. when I'm playing music on WinAmp, it shows that a signal is going through the microphone as it is going through my output. (If I try to disable the microphone, then I can't capture any signal i.e. I'm unable to record sound off a video clip or from my external audio gadgets.)

Not quite sure whether this is a problem with Google, Mozilla or my PC's sound card or with all of them, but it still is an interesting issue.

Firefox shows a website as "most frequent" though I have not used the website since many months. Additionally, the history shows a visit for this website from this year that I did not do and on the other hand there are a lot of visits for the same website from last year that I remember but that are not in the history. What can have caused this and how can I prevent it?

Since probably half a year (or even longer ago) my Firefox does not print anymore. It sends a 0 byte file to the print queue. No matter if I want to print a PDF or to the real printer (as also described here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1362068 - same problem)

I have reset the printer settings in Firefox as described here: http://mzl.la/1BAQqop. Also, I started the browser in error recovery mode and then printing does not work either.

All under Windows 11 Home (22H2 / 22621.2283 with Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22662.1000.0) with Firefox 117.0.1 (64-bit) - but I have had the problem for some time, i.e. even with older Firefox versions.

On my 2nd computer with Windows 11 Pro (22H2 / 22621.2134 with Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22659.1000.0) and with Firefox 117.0 (64-bit) I do not have this printing problem.

I have observed one more difference between the two computers: If I click on the icon of the printer queue in the systray, the Explorer with the path "...\WINDOWS\System32" is opened on the problem computer. On the 2nd computer, the printer queue opens, which can also be opened via the Windows settings. That windows settings also works on the problem computer - but not the "click on icon in systray"-way.

I also restored the legacy print dialog (www.winhelponline.com/blog/restore-legacy-print-dialog-windows-11/). This has also not solved the problem and therefore I have built this back again to the newer print dialog.

Please can someone help?

At the moment, I always have to use the Edge browser when I want to print something from a website - which is fortunately rare, but it's annoying, especially if you want to print the invoice or order confirmation when shopping online before the session has expired.

When I copy the URL of something on the web and save it to a new email, Firefox immediately changes it to a picture. I am creating a list of URLs. I then have to find the (carrot?) click it and eventually get the the URL back to "plain Link". I then have to repeatedly attempt to do a return so I can continue entering below the URL. Why do you make this so hard? How can I stop the change in the first place?

Starting today, Sep 1, 2023, any link I click on in Outlook for Mac version 16.76.2 (23082700) starts Firefox 117.0 but will NOT open a tab with the page that the link has sent to it. All it does is start Firefox with a New Tab and nothing else happens. This is happening from emails from all different senders. The only way currently I can get an email link to work is to start Firefox first, then click on the link in the email message which will then open the website. THIS IS VERY ANNOYING! This has never happened since I've been using Outlook for Mac since 2017. I've included a screenshot example of the link in the email that Firefox should be following but doesn't.

I cannot print anything from Firefox...not even a webpage....but when I use Safari, I have no problems printing the same webpages...and I can also print offline, like when I use Notepad.

I've updated the macOS to Catalina.

Please help!

Everything is in the title. It's very annoying to want to go back to a google search, only to find out it wasn't registered in the navigation history. AFAIK it seems completely random which pages will get registered and which won't.

Hello. Having Problems with Firefox Browser. Firefox start open only in task bar, not on full screen. When I reinstall browser, is opening for full screen but when pc going to sleep and wake up...only in task bar. Have Windows 11. Please advise how to fix it. Thx
