I am using two stacked monitors on a mac mini. I like to have the browser dragged across both screens. Any keypresses of any kind when firefox is open cause the broswer to resize to only the top window. Any idea on what might be causing this?

Additional info: Chrome, Opera, and Safari have a similar resizing issue. Except it does not happen with text input, but rather happens whenever a bookmark is clicked or a link is opened in a new tab.

It would help if I could talk to a human being, but this problem has continued without any solution. Firefox keeps going back and forth between having my history when I search and seemingly erasing all history without any reason. I can turn off the computer, come back on, and never know what Firefox is going to do. This started happening a week or more ago when I started to log on to sync. Since then, everything ironically has been out of sync, and it is very, very frustrating!

I spent three hours trying to read the self-help. Unfortunately as usual tech people don't know how to talk to ordinary people. So I'm stuck with losing many years of bookmarks etc. Because fire fox which normally crashes at least every month or two now crashes so badly it won't start up even after I sent a report. So I installed the newest version thinking that I could believe people on this site when they say, "oh yes your bookmarks and everything else will be there. Well they aren't.

I even what is the profiles folder of course there is an any message there about which one is the default of the new installation. Plus nobody here makes it clear on what I'm supposed to copy over toward folder. I made a new profile folder, but so worth it no information on what I'm supposed to do with it.

Plus I keep hearing that there's really no security when browsing unless I have a third-party VPN which I now have.

That's for help before on numerous occasions and got a little to no help. I thought I would try one more time.

I need a good browser because I am a disabled veteran who needs to be securely connected to the Internet. So it looks like I have to go somewhere else. Again I don't expect any help after how I've been treated here in this supposed help community. Have a good Fourth of July. It might be one or two out of all of you who has served.

When working at night on my Mac laptop, I want to be able to enable a night mode like the light-on-dark mode on my iPhone. I do not want to change my mac display settings, as I am often going back and forth between web browser and photoshop, and I need my display settings to be stable. But I'd like my web browser to not flash painfully white at me.

Enabling 'dark' theme does not invert websites reliably and consistent as Dark Mode does on my iPhone.

I want a 'night mode' option.

How close can I get to that?

For 1 particular GET REST call , HTTP/2 is undefined , wheres as for other apis in the same site , HTTP/2 is set properly in request header

This undefined HTTP/2 , is associated with CORS error too .

My tabs along the top used to have an empty box to click on to do a new search. They suddenly disappeared. Have tried settings and answer forums to no avail. Seems like it should be a simple fix but it's not. What to do?

I've downloaded firefox for macbook air with OS Ventura 13.4.1. The Settings window does not pop up. Once chosen the current FF window gets deactivated, as in the activation jumps over to the Settings but the Settings are not available to choose. Any other window like Downloads, Add-on etc pops up. I've just changed the laptops and on the old one all works as it should, the Settings window pops up. What could have happened?

Is it possible to set a container as the default for new links that originate from outside Firefox? For example links I click on my email or messages apps, or share with my computer using airdrop? I would like to create a container called Default or General for example, and set that as the default for all links without an existing container, or where there isn't a container open.

This would mean that, unless I specifically open a new tab without a container, everything is contained. That will help to ensure that cookies and site tracking data is contained by default - making it easier to clear cookies (by deleting the container) and reducing the effect of any website links that I am sent - even well meaning friends might send friendly and useful websites with pernicious cookies and trackers (or versions of weblinks that are not covered by the existing containers, eg uk.linkedin.com v www.linkedin.com )

I see in the release notes just now that there's "Make “default container” entry keyboard navigable " - which has raised my hopes that this feature is possible - is it somewhere in the menus that I am not finding?

I faced this issue only in a website called Kibana while copying a specific value for a key. I inspected the html code too but nothing seems wrong there. Let me know if more info is needed I was able to reproduce the issue in Trouble shooting mode also. I didn't face this issue in Brave/Chrome Thanks

Evertime I enter fullscreen on a video through firefox there are some black bars on the side of the video no matter what. If I want them gone I have to enter fullscreen on the browser and then fullscreen on the video. It doesn't do it when I use chrome or safari so why firefox? and how do I fix it?

When I try to access this website, (https://app.foodrescue.us/login) I get a blank white screen. Sometimes it is directly when I open the site, sometimes after I log in. I use this site daily and really need this fix. I am on a 2022 Mac Book Pro and have tried all of the following to no avail:

Contacted IT at website. They noted that many of the volunteers are able to use the website with Firefox. In fact it worked for me up until a couple months ago. They gave me suggestions to try but none of them worked. Cleared Cache Completely removed Firefox and re-loaded Turned off Cookies for site Disabled the one extension I have, still did not work Disabled Hardware Acceleration and re-started Restarted in trouble shooting mode, still did not work Basically tried everything mentioned in the Support logs The site works fine in Safari on my computer and on my iphone.

Every time I click on a link to an Offidoc document I get an error message:

"/var/runnxx/uploadxx/1660896/editdocument168897837099.ull does not exist"

I have no difficulty with opening the same file in Safari.

Any thoughts, anyone?

iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015) Monterey 12.6.7 Browsing fonts on Google Fonts. All previews of fonts are in Sans Serif, rgardless of applying "serif' filter. If I quit out of Firefox and launch Safari the fonts display correctly (ie serif fonts appear as they should) whereas in Firefox they all appear as Sans Serif. Have searched various help topics but cannot find an answer.

I just installed Mac OS Ventura (13.4.1) and I can no longer download anything when I'm using Firefox. I've tried citation files, dmg files, and others, and all of the read "failed."

bold text Firefox won't load any pages. "Problem loading page." The lock is locked. Last night, always before, I had no problem. All other browsers load pages with no problem.

I just purchased a new MacBook Air (M2 chip) and am running Firefox 115.0.2. Firefox will not load any web page. I've cleared caches, etc. On my old MacBook Pro Firefox runs perfectly. I've mirrored the Network Settings, etc. Still no luck. Please advise. Thank you! JOHN

Also, iMac crashed and immediately restarted without a fault report while I was using Firefox today. Following instructions from the Apple Support Desk I have since Command "R" reloaded the Mac operating system (both normally and in Safe Mode) and the Firefox app as well but the issue persists. While it might be a minor issue (no auto-load) I am concerned there might be more serious underlying compatibility problems or system failures I have yet to experience. In contrast, my current macOS installation will add/delete Thunderbird (and couple of other apps I experimented with) on the auto start up list without any problem. The only recent macOS system change I think was to install an update to bring it up to Ventura 13.4.1 (c), from 13.4.1 I think.

The Apple Genius Desk at the Canberra store ran a complete hardware check which did not report any faults only a few days ago. In all other respects the iMac and apps "appear" to be running normally.

Any advice on rectifying the problem would be appreciated - e.g. a full Apple Store Reset/Reload of macOS followed by a fresh start with a complete reload of my current app collection as I am not all sure where the problem rests - with the macOS or the Firefox app, some incompatibility or a download corruption in either?

I have unchecked both "Use autoscrolling" & "Use smooth scrolling". I get normal scrolling on webpages that I load up, but for search engine results, DuckDuckGo / Google , I get weird slow/bouncy/delayed scroll motion. The scroll is very delayed, it is very weird, why would or this be occurring and how to fix?
