In the SharePoint library Setting is the desktop App defined to open M365-files. Chrome, Edge and Opera, open the files in the desktop App. Not so Mozilla Firefox: with this browser, the files are opened in a Tab, instead of the desktop App. Why is that? How can I change this behaviour?

Hi, why after update to v116 I no longer can use security exceptions? Now I and my colleagues no longer can access dev server because certificate valid only for production servers... So now I can't use firefox for development. I think this update is so stupid...

In the past few weeks, I have been dealing with an "epidemic" of new tabs crashing. I use the New Tab extension so that each tab that I open with start with Google. Those tabs often crash. If I select a link on a fire service daily news blast, the tab will start to load the connection, then crash and ask me to report the conditions of the crash. When i select "Retrieve the lost site," it will work about 10% of the time. The rest of the time, I wind up with a blank, white tab. That's it!

Are there compatability issues with microsoft windows? I can't open sites that I have always used. It says there is no connection to the server. Odd since I can get to facebook and other sites using the same server

When Firefox auto-updates it slows down my machine so much that I stop being able to move my cursor and it often crashes other apps that I have running.

I have a relatively new Windows machine running the latest OS, so I doubt that's the problem.

Since the updates never seem to be anything critical and if there are new features I don't know about them because they've been drowned out by the unwelcome advertising that Firefox hijacks my experience to shove in my face, the obvious solution seems to be to turn off auto-update and just do it manually, when it is convenient for me.

However if there is a critical security update, I don't want to miss it, so I'd rather keep auto-updates on.

Is there something I can do to keep Firefox from horking my computer once a month, or do I have to revoke the auto-update privilege?

I reinstaled windows and donwloaded again mozzila, logged in my account (reseted password cuz i forgot OFC), and when i logged in i didnt get my previus data (history, passwords, etc...) Can anyone help?

I installed I don't care about cookies it did not fix removing cookie prompts from websites it just broke the sites so I uninstalled the add on but I am still unable to load certain sites for example Eurogamer the prompt comes up dissapears and then I cannot scroll or interact with the site. I am now also having issues transacting on certain sites as well leading to a white screen I just want to role back to my previous settings so I can continue to use Firefox.

I have an MS Surface Pro, Windows 10, Firefox is my default browser - all software is up to date. When I click on a You Tube video the screen goes black after a few seconds- the audio continues to play but the screen is totally black.

I have clickserve.datasearch affecting Firefox 116.0.2, which causes a redirect on all links. It does not appear in my list of apps and I can see nothing suspicious in the program list, or in the list of extensions. Running Windows 11 MS Defender and MalwareBytes. MSI GP 63 laptop. Google Chrome on same device is unaffected. Suggestions? Thanks.

Hi Firefox...I am unable to sign in to this website in the traditional way. When I attempt entry I get the following message. "Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site.

We can’t connect to the server at secure.adultfriendfinder.com.

If you entered the right address, you can:

   Try again later
   Check your network connection
   Check that Firefox has permission to access the web (you might be connected but behind a firewall)".

This is the ONLY site, that I have where I encounter this issue. Technical people say that it is not on their end.

I can go to my neighbors computer and immediately gain access.

I have turned off NORD VPN...no success I have turned off Pi Hole...no success I have change search engines...no success...I use DDG on all sites...using Google or Yahoo search engines did not effect the outcome. I have refreshed FF...no success I have deleted and re-installed DDG ad on...no success I have included a screen shot of what I get when denied access.

The only way to gain entrance is to go to the "FORGOT PASSWORD" tab and put in a new password.

The irony of that is, even if I change the PW, and allowed entrance when I log out and want to re-enter I have to change the PW again

Firefox works fine on every site, except G Mail.com G mail.com On G mail the things works well, but when i try to move a e-mail or delete him, Firefox does it, but doesn't return to the primary and G mail site.

The others G mail things works fine on all the other functions, and initiate well on Chrome, Opera and others internet navigators.

PS: It only happens after the last Firefox update.

Hi, I recently changed computers and all my data is gone, no bookmarks, settings, history, nothing. Is there a way to know if firefox made a new account using the same email that i used before? Are firefox settings and bookmarks stored on the account? Please help everything is gone and i have no idea how to fix it.

Hi there, I am experiencing some issues with logging into some websites, including bank accounts. Mozilla Firefox comes up with secure connection failed even though these are recognized banks. This has happened on a number of occasions recently with different logins. I even switched my online Firefox settings from strict to standard & I am still experiencing these problems! Please could advise what else to do? I do not want to use Google but feel that I may have to download it to be able to access my accounts. Thank you, Howard
