bold texttheoretically if I was watching videos will my fiance be able to so how dig any and or all of the data that trails it.. like time spent watching videos or time spent on this app once all is closed

my favorite browser firefox isnt enough help to keep my privacy secure (Its 100% confirmed)

I just learnt that my internet provider is blocking some domain like web.telegram.org which is very annoying. The solution i found on internet is vpn or tor browser.

Am i expecting something from firefox that it cant help me with?

A free vpn or tor browser like functionality?

I am so sorry to go away from it but look like if there is no way firefox can help me secure my privacy then i will have to.

The attached pop up ad continues to present it self in spite of my selecting block pop-ups. I cannot find a setting to block the pop up depicted in the attached image. Assistance would be appreciated.

My wife's PC has had this problem twice. Somehow the default browser in Firefox gets changed to Rini.drorinat. How do I stop this from happening?

Some software must be lurking around resetting this. And don't tell me it's not a browser issue.

Since last week I am unable to properly use some websites that are failing due to CORS requests, but they were working before. Some examples are es.webuy.com or a local Jellyfin instance. After trying to enable/disable some settings that I thought could be related to the problem, like security levels, I ended up creating a new profile. In this new profile everything works, but as soon as I synchronize my Mozilla account, then these websites start failing again with CORS requests errors.

Any idea about what setting might it be the one causing problems? Or any idea about how can I debug/troubleshoot it myself?

I am a bit confused and worried about what is happening here. I am routing Firefox through controlD DNS and Reddit.com is the only website that it doesnt block even though its on my blocklist. I tested it with a few other websites too and those did get blocked on Firefox but not Reddit. I did some testing and it seems every other browser works perfectly fine. Is this intended for Firefox to route Reddit through their own DNS servers instead of the private one I have setup? This is a bit concerning to me.

Let me know if this is intended or why this isnt working only on Reddit.

I recently switched operating systems from W11 to Linux (Zorin), and installed a new copy of Firefox. I rely on local web pages I have written for some of my work, but the new copy of Firefox does not find the file. For example, when accessing an image, e.g., file:///magrathea/dmpase/home/index/coastal24.png, Firefox gives the message:

File not found Firefox can’t connect to the server at local file What can you do about it? Check to make sure you’ve typed the website address correctly.

The address is correct, that is, the file resides at: /magrathea/dmpase/home/index/coastal24.png and the user does have permissions to read the file. I've tried adding up to five '/' characters to the beginning, and I have turned off all of my installed add-ons, but without success.

An apparently related problem is that double clicking on a '.htm' file also changes the address, for example, from '/home/dmpase/Desktop/index.htm' to 'file:///run/user/1000/doc/f07a8988/index.htm'

And finally, the "Brave" browser is able to read the files with no errors.

How do I fix this for Firefox?

Right below the search bar my browser has a warning "The security sandbox is disabled. Your configuration is unsupported and less secure."

I am on Windows 10. I have tried uninstalling firefox, removing appdata and all other firefox files and settings, resetting about:configs settings, disabling my BitDefender antivirus. Nothing fixes it. Completely fresh install of firefox still gives me that message. Sandbox level is default (9).

Any help would be appreciated.

A while ago when using the setting firefox noticed that i was using a vpn and turned the settings off. At least that was what i believed. Turns out, that only works with browser vpn addons that use the firefox settings. But these addons do not use wireguard, but tls to encrypt your data. If i use a vpn, and want to use the dns settings provided by them, i have to turn of the feature the dns over https feature from firefox. I only want to use that feature, if im not "protected" by a vpn solution of my choice.

"Die Funktion zum Schutz vor Datendiebstählen hat verhindert, dass geschütze Daten den Computer verlassen." Angegeben ist das Programm "Firefox.exe". Was passiert da bei Firefox im Hintergrund?

I need to install PKCS#11 modul on iMac (OS: Ventura 13.7.4) for signature authorization. I try: Settings-> Privacy and Security-> Certificates-> Security devices-> Load-> Modul filename: /Applications/CertiliaMiddleware.app/Contents/pkcs11/libCertiliaPkcs11.dylib , but I get an answer: "Unable to add modul". In order to install a certificate for signing with a card, I was informed that I need to install this modul first, but it doesn't work. What should I do? Thanks, Martina

Instead of returning directly to my desktop when I close Firefox, this website opens: https://www.websudoku.com/ and I then have to close that before I can see my desktop. I do not want this to happen!!!!! How can I stop it?

For 2 days now I am overwhelmed with Firefox Security alerts about everything from Trojan Horses to system warnings. I know they are fake, but they are driving me crazy. Can anything be done about them?

I bought a new pc and synced firefox with my old pc to transfer all my tabs and accounts. The new pc died within a day and i will have to return it to the manufacturer GMKTEC, the problem i have is all my accounts Ebay, Amazon etc are on it as well as my medical data. Is there something i can do with firefox to stop this information being looked at or used.
