Hello, I've already contacted you because of a problem that I encounter with the functioning of my browser that cracked without explanation. The problem was that I was working on inpravate navigation and I can't find back the internet pages that I was watching. I don't know if there is a possibility to reach them back and I'm afraid I'll can't get them if I turn my computer of.

I need a quick answer because I'm afraid that my computer could crash because it's lit since a while.

I still doesn't have turned my computer off in case that you could help me find my pages back. I have no one else to help me with this problem and I deeply need the websites I was surfing on. I'm not sure I can find them by myself and I don't have much time for that.

Im using Playwright with JS and when Im running ny test on FireFox i get a PopUp message to select the screen i want to screencast, even when im choosing screen and pressing "Share" its happened in the next test and not recording my tests. its happened only in FF. How im removed this PopUP ?Thanks. Using also Linux Ubuntu.

I have an old Firefox Mozilla account, but I can't recall the primary email associated with it. However, I do know that my current email is listed as a secondary email on that account. I would like to unlink my current email from that account. What steps should I take to do so? Thank you

Extension has permission "Access your data for sites in the abc.de domain".

The documentation says that such extension can read "data you enter into those web pages, such as usernames and passwords"

Can extension send such data away (for example to its developer)? What kind of permission is needed for that? Can you quote exact name of such permission/s from linked article so i can lookup that?

I like Firefox to ask me what to do each time with PDF documents, so I've set the action for PDF to "Always Ask". However, I've noticed that when I load a page with a PDF document embedded inline, and I select "Open with Firefox" on the dialog box, the document always opens in a new tab.

In other words: there are certain PDF documents that get displayed inline when the action for PDF is "Open in Firefox"; but those same documents get opened in new tabs when set to "Always Ask".

Is possible for Firefox to display PDFs inline while asking me what to do each time?

When activating reading mode with a PDF file, the content of the file is not reproduced in the reading mode window. This one really caught me by surprise! I have an internal Django database system. Staff typically use Firefox or Chrome to access it from Linux or Windows machines. As part of this system, it uses Grappelli library which in turn uses TinyMCE V3.5.8. Specifically, in a text box TinyMCE provides advanced editing and fonting. Allows the user to embed links or images. This system was working fine on Django 2.2. My provider (Python Anywhere) retired the server image I was running on, so I updated everything to Django 4.2 on their latest "haggis" system image. Everything seemed to transfer over without any errors - at first. In fact, it was a week later somebody tried to change a font colour by clicking the popup button that opens a colour picker. That pop up looks blank! (its not, the HTML is there but without the custom CSS nothing is visible)

In developer mode on Firefox or Chrome I can see what the problem is: The popup is disconnected from the parent. The parents CSS and classes - specifically tinyMCE - is not present. So its missing the styling and JS to operate. One of the first things the popup JS does is copy in the tinyMCE and tinymce classes from the parent. But they are not there, in fact .opener is null and .parent is stripped down.

What is really weird is on my test server, where I tested everything before updating the live server, it works! The test server uses Django's "runserver" to run a very simple (unsecure) http server just to test code. Whereas the live server is locked on HTTPS.

What confuses me is I don't see any console log messages that would indicate the browser decided to "protect" me. How can I figure out what is going on? Or disable this feature for a test?

I am writing this on my Dev machine using the browser I test with, so I shall try to paste in tech info below.

Just to reiterate, in this browser I can have my test server in one tab, my live server in another tab, test server popup works; live server popup does not.

I have set up 11 custom devices that max the min and max sizes of bootstrap grid system (xs-min-360w, xs-max-575, etc) to aid me with checking my website on various screen sizes. Is there anyway to export this list or better still to synch them with my Firefox account so I don't lose these settings?

I am using Firefox Developer Edition (101.0b6 (64-bit)) on Ubuntu 20.04.

Hi team, Can you explain me how exactly firefox sync works? asking because I thought by syncing it will save all the bookmarks with my account and I can use the same account to bring back all the bookmarks on another device.

I created an account on linux dual booted with windows and synced all the things I saved on firefox. Recently I switched to pop os and logged in using the same account. Expecting to see all the bookmarks on here too. But unfortunately it didn't worked. And all my bookmarks are gone. Is there any way I can recover those data?

I'm using my PC for local web development. I use Firefox as my regular browser and recently, in order to distinguish between personal time and development time, I've established a new profile just for development purposes.

The local website I can't reach is "site.local.dev". My OS is Ubuntu 20.04 and that URL points to a local IP on my network (resolved via /etc/hosts file on my PC).

Funny thing is that: - In dev-profile: site.local.dev does not work => "Unable to connect" and the URL bar shows https://site.local.dev even if I force it to http:// - In personal-profile: site.local.dev does work :P

I have tried with CLI tools like "wget", "hosts", "ping", "telnet" and so on and the site loads ok. Even I have used Dillo (damn simple web browser) and the site loads ok also.

Things I've tried so far: - Suggestions at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-cant-load-websites-other-browsers-can - Suggestions at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1011327 (similar issue, not exactly the same).

It must be a silly thing but I'm out of options now. Perhaps anybody has faced to this situation in the past: any suggestion on this issue?.

I saw where this was a problem with Netflix, Amazon Video and other sites with Fire Fox and that one person even used professional version and still had the same problem.

What I cannot see is where he got the video codex that allow Netflix to work on Fire Fox version 88, let alone this newest version that Mozilla has created.

A lot of times while coding I press Ctrl+S to save Visual Studio Code and update live server (while watching on firefox the result). The problem is that when I'm focused on Firefox Ctrl+S pops up the Save Page window and (if I held Ctrl+S for more than a split second) it crashes (probably due to multiple popups becoming unresponsive). The mouse can't click to cancel the pop ups for saving the page nor interact it. I have to kill the firefox process and restart it. I've been looking into disabling Ctrl+S shortcut in Firefox with no success (extensions are deprecated or require too many permissions I'm not comfortable with).

Would someone help me to disable Ctrl+S or enlighten me on how to not have firefox crash every time I accidentally press Ctrl+S?

Hello I have problem on my fedora workstation. When i click right button on the lowest bookmark on my list, the menu is hiding outside the screen and i can't see options.

I got help with this from your group some weeks ago, but I had to reinstall my Ubuntu OS (linux v.20.04.4 -- using firefox) recently and can't recall the answer.

When I view a WikiSpecies list of file names (e. g., see https://species.wikimedia.org/wiki/Pentatominae), the instances which have been installed but never used should be in a different (reddish) color. I am attaching an image of a page containing a file named "Abadia" (first one on the left, just under "A") which is unused. I also am attaching an empty "Creating Abadia" which is the result of clicking on "Abadia".

Please tell me how to change the image of an unused, empty file. I recall that there were two different choices SOMEWHERE in the system, "Always" and "Never" I think: One of them forces a system-level color pattern which includes reddish unused items; the other allows the used to program arbitrary displays such as the above (typical example from the dconf editor is 'bg_color: #f0f1f2; selected_bg_color: #023C88', but this editor does not change the appearance of a file instance.

I have a locked file that shows up as Invalid Symlinks error. I am not sure but I think it may be Profile.ini Here is what I am getting that tells me its a Non-Existent Destination file. My question is why is it Invalid symlink and what can I do to fix it? For instance there is a site I use, which has a list of my posts, with buttons to delete the posts. I click the delete button, this opens an "Are you sure?" modal window, I click delete, the modal closes, I am on the same original list page with the same URL, but now I have another pseudo-page in my back button history that I have to go through.

If I do this with three more posts, I will have an additional three back button history dropdown entries to navigate back through.

When I exceed the number of entries shown in the dropdown, I have to keep clicking through the quasi-paginated list of duplicated back button history entries for the same exact page, to get back to the page I was on before ever going to the list page.
