Please, I would like to know why my web page is not only visible in firefox in other browsers if it does. Something I have seen is that the code is present but is not displayed. My page is www.sividev.com and I only see an error in the console that does not appear in other browsers Uncaught TypeError: this.scrollPosMouse is not a function

Hi everyone,
I am having trouble getting my custom new tab page to be focused when opened (instead of the address bar).
I am currently using the `autoconfig.js` + `mozilla.cfg` approach to overriding the `AboutNewTab.jsm` service with a custom local file. This is working great with the two files containing this code:
autoconfig.js: ``` pref("general.config.filename", "mozilla.cfg"); pref("general.config.obscure_value", 0); ```
mozilla.cfg: ``` // Custom firefox config
let { classes:Cc, interfaces:Ci, utils:Cu } = Components;
try {
Cu.import("resource:///modules/AboutNewTab.jsm"); let newTabURL = "file:///home/vallode/Documents/test/index.html"; AboutNewTab.newTabURL = newTabURL;
} catch(e) { Cu.reportError(e); } ```
I have been attempting to use the `gBrowser` global to add an event listener to the new tab opening, but with no success. Could anyone point me in the right direction for something like this?

Hello,
The latest and greatest FF update did not import my FF bookmarks and saved PW. I followed all instructions on FF troubleshooting and forums and nothing seems to restore my data. I have a old FF data, but it's stating nothing has been backed up since 2018, however I've used FF daily. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance!

In Firefox>Privacy and Security, there are two very similar looking settings regarding routine cookie destruction:
Cookies and Site Data>check Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed. Manage Permissions [A site list with Block, Allow, Allow for Session]
History>Firefox will Use custom settings for History>Clear history when Firefox closes. Settings: check Cookies
My current understanding is that Cookies and Site Data potentially provides exclusions from the cookie carnage, whereas the History setting per above would delete all cookies. Is this correct as far as it goes? What I keep wondering is why the topic of cookie destruction when closing cannot be handled in one area of the Settings layout, instead of in two different areas.

The drop-down menu for the address bar on my computer now has little pin images over the icons. I used to have 10 sites listed, but now there's just 8, and a couple of them are sites I don't use anymore, but I can't remove them; I highlight them and hit Shift-Delete, but they won't go away! I don't know what the new update did, but I want this fixed.

In firefox 77 I could choose different search engine for example duckduckgo as default search engine in private mode. In 78.0.1 this setting is missing, no way to search selected text privately or set different search engine for private mode. Only workaround is to go to about:config and enable "browser.search.separatePrivateDefault.ui.enabled". This fixes both problems. Is this still in beta and not officially available or are my settings wrong?
Twitter one click search engine no longer shows up for me. How do i get back?

Hello. I'm using a brand-new installation of Firefox 78.0.1 on a freshly installed copy of Windows 10 Pro. The only way I can get Firefox to display any notifications is by having alerts.useSystemBackend set to true. While this is set to false, notifications will not work. If I use this site to test them, it just says, 'queued for display', followed immediately by 'closed'. I've also tried creating a new profile and testing it again with no success. All sites were granted notification permissions in each case.
Thanks for any help.

Firefox version: 78.0.1
Firefox recently changed the behaviour when clicking on downloaded PDFs in the Firefox Downloads panel. While all other downloaded files are opened with the system default program when clicking on them, PDFs are opened with the built-in Firefox viewer.
This is counter intuitive. If Firefox is the system default PDF viewer, this separate treatment of PDFs is not necessary (the system default redirects back to Firefox). If Firefox is not the system default PDF viewer, users need to take extra steps to open a PDF in the system viewer (open the folder, click on the file; also documented [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/view-pdf-files-firefox-or-choose-ano...]). Therefore, this change creates no benefit for those who use Firefox as the system default PDF viewer, while reducing usability for those who use a different system PDF viewer (e.g., Acrobat).
Example use case:
It seems clear that this change has reduced usability for no functional improvement, while the common combined use case of Firefox for PDF URLs and professional readers (e.g., Acrobat) for downloaded PDFs has become more difficult.
