I have a problem with the browser automatically starting when I start my PC. I have this feature disabled (!) ("Open Firefox automatically when your computer starts up" turned OFF) Everything was fine, but then I started using the "profiles" feature - browser start's to open automatically when i start up my pc.

when I created a new profile (in addition to the main one). The problem appeared, and that was a long time ago (at least half of year ago it was already as now). I hoped that it would be fixed and didn't write to support. Windows and the browser itself have been updated several times since then - this did not help.

Changing the settings in different profiles, creating / deleting them, and other basic actions did not help. What happens is that the browser ALWAYS opens when I start the PC (Profile selection tab, i have turned ON "Select profile when Firefox start up")

I tried turn off \ delete all plugins, turn on\turn off almost every default setting, no effect. What should i do?

Browser version - 150.0 (64-bit) (from "settings-about firefox") Windows 11 Pro 25H2

Currently have 4 profiles in Firefox - but problem appeared after creation on 2nd profile. "Open Firefox automatically when your computer starts up" turned off in every profile.

Until I close the following message that appears on Firefox Screen other apps are slow or won't open.

Box with Red X - This profile was last used with a newer version of this application. Please create a new profile. OK

I followed the directions to CREATE A NEW FIREFOX PROFILE.... ,, created as Personal #1 & Personal #2 perhaps I did something wrong......Help!!!!

My Windows 11 PC crashed but i was able to recover copy of my firefox profile. I copied previous profile folders and i am able to access those profiles using firefox.exe -P command.

But profiles don't show up in the new profile switcher. How can i restore them to modern way profiles work.

i don't want to setup accounts and sync for my profiles.

I have multiple profiles set up with the "old system" ( https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-remove-switch-firefox-profiles ). Now, the new system is available for me, but I can't see an easy way to migrate my existing profiles into the new system.

I thought original profile would save all my bookmarks, history, passwords, etc. I created a second profile for work, but that also does not contain any of my bookmarks, history, passwords, etc. I imported my bookmarks and other history/passwords from EDGE. I did this in my work profile because I couldn't get my original profile to import anything. I signed into work with my main firefox e-mail and exported bookmarks to HTML so I could upload it in my original profile. The original profile now wont log in and says I need a different e-mail account, so I'll lose everything on my original profile. It is ridiculous that my profiles don't have the same log on and don't use the same e-mail. I need someone to help me recover my system to normal working function. This has been a horrible experience and profiles are unusable.

Hello! I just installed F-Fox yesterday and want to delete Google Chrome. However, my husband and I both used Chrome and I would like to add him to Firefox, so his history, passwords, etc can be imported but I don't know how to add his profile to Firefox along with mine.

Please help.

My toolbar disappeared in January very disappointed because I don't want to take my computer to the fix it man here in town when It was not something I did but rather came with an update.

Why do I continue to receive a message from Firefox after creating a New Profile?

What did I do wrong? how to correct, so that I stop receiving the error message?

It induced me to create a new profile. Then, I lost the old one. Who even knew about profiles? Firefox is now filling in passwords, among other serious setting changes I did not make. This is the worst experience I ever had with a browser. Firefox has been my steady for decades, always dependable and easy to manage. I think we broke up today.

When I try to edit a profile (name, color theme), about:editprofile returns a blank page.

It was working just a few minutes ago, but stopped while I was trying to select a new theme.

I've restarted the browser a couple of times and looked at help articles but cannot figure out how to fix it.

When I try to login with my Firefox account to configure Sync, I get a message that says that I am logged on to a different profile and asks if I want to switch. If I switch, I get the same result with the other profile. There is only one profile folder in the Profiles directory, there are no other files or folders. What should I do?

I have moved my profile to a different location on the hard drive to make backups easier. How do I tell firefox where the profile is now located. c:\users\med\my data\PROFILES\mozillA\*.deFAUlt

opened firefox saturday and screen was totally different than what i had. guess it updated, but not returned to my profile. have tried to open my profile and succeeded, but can't get it to come on automatically when i open firefox again. how do i open the profile i want and then keep it opened?
