(1) Where is Ff browser support? (2) Unable to drag and drop files from macOS (Ventura 13.7.4 (22H420)) selecting file in the Finder app and dragging it into Gmail window. -- Browser pane freezes and has to be trashed.

How about fixing this?

I can only use firefox for 90 minutes at a time, before the entire system crashes.

Since the last couple of updates, the infamous memory leak issue has gotten significantly worse. Now 30 minutes of use with no add-ons sees the memory use swell to 13 GB, crashing the system. Sometimes windows 10 crashes, sometimes it just kills firefox.

The thing is, when I check about:memory, it says firefox is only using 1.5 GB. However task manager says 13 GB, and if I close the browser, suddenly 13 GB memory gets freed up.

Does anyone have any idea why there's such a discrepancy?

New system and firefox used to crash the tab, rather than the browser, but now it crashes the browser at the inevitable OOM situation

browser.tabs.unloadOnLowMemory is already set to true

Tried the standard checks for lose cables and refresh monitor rate etc but pc monitor still blinks off and on when trying to access sites like Tumblr and Amazon.co.uk. The websites work fine without issue on my laptop, just my pc seems to have the issues, googling suggests the issue might be firefox related so would appreciate any help

Our Firefox sometimes stalls, and if we try to exit, to start fresh, it won't reopen, because there is a firefox process still running. The click to close Firefox has no effect on this background process. Taskmaster sometimes shows firefox processes, which can be closed, but that doesn't get everything. Sometimes a total hard shutdown resolves it.

I am experiencing a flickering/highlighting effect on various webpages when using Firefox on some of my computers (a Microsoft Surface and Asus Laptop, but not my work desktop). Attached photos show an example from Gmail, where the one photo shows it open in Microsoft Edge (no flicker/highlighting effect) and the other photo shows it in Firefox.

When my cursor moves it causes the greyed out portions to jump to other areas. I also see this in places like the toolbar, where the rounded edges of bookmarks are now sometimes a grey square, similar to the greyed out emails in the photo.

I have restarted and reinstalled Firefox with no changes. Any idea what is causing this?

In the last 2 weeks you tube or yahoo on firefox either times out or drops about 30 minutes in but when I use you tube or yahoo on Google I don't have this problem. Is there a problem with an extension or security issue that would cause this? Did an update cause this? It's frustrating. It's been happening to my husband on his desktop also. It will tell us we're not connected but when I go the the router it shows connected. I have to exit out of the browser and reload and everything is fine for about 30 minutes and then I have to exit and reload which requires me to sign in again. Just wondering if an update caused this.

Is there any way the user can set a short time delay on the closure of cascading menus? The default instant menu closure that happens when the mouse pointer strays a bit means that the user needs to be very slow and deliberate to be able to burrow down to the required folder (eg in Bookmark folders). This is a nightmare when burrowing down a couple of levels. Having the menu tree stay open until the drag 'n drop or menu item selection is complete is much faster and more user friendly.

This morning Firefox stopped working for every website I attempted to access. The window shows the "Unable to connect" error. I'm currently using Edge for the Mozilla site help pages. I've tried many of the help article procedures, including: 1) Removed and re-added Firefox in the Windows Defender Firewall settings; 2) Scanned PC for Malware (Webroot SecureAnywhere, CE25.1), no threats detected; 3) Cleared recent history from Firefox. 4) Opened Firefox in Troubleshooting Mode but the problem persists. 5) I've also set the Network settings to "no proxy". Windows settings is set to automatically detect settings Firefox was working last night when I was installing an old version of Quicken 2015 (off-line/non-network installation). What's my next step?

Starting 4 or 5 days ago when entering https://bluehost.com in the URL field, the landing page for Bluehost stopped rendering properly. I cleared ALL browsing data without fixing the problem. Trying to open Bluehost in a private window did not fix the problem. Only opening Firefox in Safe mode solved the problem. After opening in Safe mode, I disabled performance enhancement including hardware acceleration - problem not fixed. The Bluehost landing page renders properly in Chrome, Edge and Opera.

Hi, I’ve been experiencing slow performance on Firefox recently. It takes a long time to load pages, and the browser sometimes freezes when I have multiple tabs open. I’ve tried clearing my cache and updating Firefox, but the issue persists.

Has anyone encountered similar issues? Are there any tips or settings I should check to improve performance on a Windows machine? Thanks for your help!

I have an external monitor connected to my laptop which is classed as Screen 2 in Extended mode. I have Firefox open on the external monitor and when a pop up window opens it always opens on the laptop screen and not the same screen ( Screen 2 ) that the browser is running on.

Is there a way to set the pop up window to open on the same screen as the browser, as per other browsers ?
