Hi!

I am getting messages that I am blocking ads for many of my internet requests. I had never received these before but all of a sudden I started to get them. I have tried a number of things but nothing works.

I am running Windows 11 and do not have any Ad blockers.

Opening PDFs automatically with Firefox and, without any changes I might make, saving them with the download function in Firefox, actually ruins the functionality and data entry function of that file. Specifically this happens with PDF files downloaded from the (not all that amusing) PDFs from the FINCEN, (US Financial Crimes Enforcement Network). I do not see why and how Firefox thinks it is allowed to change files that are simply downloaded and saved on Firefox.

In other words, it seems that Firefox strips away certain "permissions" and/or "functions" (like built-in lookup, menu or choice boxes). This means that the file so downloaded via Firefox can no longer be used to properly fill in data, or to look up and choose data items within the file. (I see many times that ANYTHING having to do with "permissions" tends to be an intractable and unsolvable problem for software makers & experts, so, if you do not know right away how to solve the problem, it will probably take you several years to figure this out.)

The PDF in question is created by a government agency. If you have ever dealt with a government agency, then you know that they act sort of like Adobe or Microsoft: "They don't respond, or they do respond & say they do not understand, and if they understand, they are either unwilling or unable to fix the problem."

If there is a switch or option within Firefox, which lets me tell Firefox "Save this file exactly like it is received, nothing added or removed!", that would be nice. I just have not found such an option yet, and it would be nice if it might get provided someday.

I will share my browser data, but I am sort of convinced that a detailed question like mine will not be addressed within that shared data.

Hello. I am setting up a site on Linux server using Apache as reverse proxy , with ASP.NET as application server . since installing SSL , I had few mixed content blocking that i was managed to fix using CSP directive in Apache configuration file. site has no issue with all browser except Firefox. the only issue is that in admin section , to configure a option. system will load a js file that simply a dropdown with list of options to choose from . when using Firefox , it tries to redirect that page to login page . for test , i clicked on the link i located in Developer tools , which directed me to login page , entered my credentials, and scripts loads showing the drop down box and ok button. is been 3 weeks i been looking for every solution and i have done everything .. but nothing have worked. now I am resort to having to use other browsers if i need to use that functionality in admin page. In page header file name : login , location : http://MYDOMAIN.ca/login?ReturnUrl=%2FAdmin%2FDiscountRulesCustomerRoles%2FConfigure%3FdiscountId%3D6%26_%3D1702682353293 , which are not correct . and browser such as Brave and Safari dose not show different path and file name and everything is correct. dose anyone know how to fix this .. ? i saw a solution mentioned as stated resting Firefox ,but can not find a way to reset , but i have reinstalled Firefox and constantly having this issue on this single section of the page . Thanks.

Hey, in other browsers when you type something in the address bar, for example "youtube" you get suggested searches/links and if you click on them with middle-mouse button (Firefox shift+Middle-Mouse button) you open them in a new unfocused tab and keep the search menu open and can keep clicking on suggestions.

In Firefox the search menu closes after each opened tab and I want it to stay open without having to type in it again after each opened tab. The new tab is unfocused as it should be, I just want the search bar to not clear itself.

I do not want to have to create hundreds of bookmarks for suggested searches.

I've always had some issue where i have two mozilla authenicators on my phone , so i decided to remove it and redo it so i can delete those two and put one in . I didn't think this would be a issue , but when i attempt to set it up , it gives me a backup code , i put it in when it asks me to and then it says its incorrect . It makes me quite confused as it continues to give me a new code but its always deemed wrong when i copy and paste it .

Hello, I've updated my Nvidia graphics driver and encountered this issue. Basically I noticed it on twitch.tv mainly, bottom of my website is hidden behind taskbar, as if firefox thinks I have the automatically hiding taskbar setting enabled, which I never used. I've tried deleting some json file from %appdata% which has not helped, tried reinstalling firefox, running in troubleshoot mode, disabling hardware acceleration and nothing helped. Here are screenshots of how it looks fullscreen and how it should look, as you can see the bottom section is missing. Thanks in advance

Just trying to watch youtube

Open a video, the little circle goes around for a second or two, and starts playing (but it's not synched with the audio - the video starts playing a second or two after the audio starts playing)

Close all other apps, clear cache, restart, same problem

But I do NOT have this problem in other browsers

Do I have to quit using firefox?

This warning appears on so many pages since up the Firefox update that it's making it difficult to actually use Firefox. And your suggestion "To see this page, you need to open it in a new window", doesn't work. Clicking option + the link doesn't offer a chance to open a new tab or new window. And the block is still there when I copy and paste the desired link. Two of the biggest issues are on highly reputable sites (a bank and a telecom). I suggest you fix this "upgrade" because other browsers don't have this problem.

I have been told that interact with my internet email service provider does not allow me to do such things as add attachment to emails because my firefox browser is using an improper buffer size. The email service provider tech would not speculate on what that buffer size should be. Only to state that Firefox had it wrong and a Firefox tech could explain the problem to me further..

I am also finding that when I try to use firefox address book I get this response...

Bad Request Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand. Size of a request header field exceeds server limit.

Can someone enlighten me on these issues.?

I've notice keyboard issues with certain sites.

Using PayPal, Firefox will not enter the sixth digit of a confirmation code. The first five numbers will enter in the boxes, the sixth momentarily enters but doesn't persist. It works on Chrome, so it's not a PC issue.

Today I was trying to enter my full name in a text field. I couldn't enter a space between my first and middle names. I tried 'Troubleshooting Mode' and it still didn't work. I could enter the details in Chrome, though.

The PayPal issue have persisted over several updates.

I'm using Firefox on Kubuntu 25.04.

I've put over 12 years into using Firefox. I've put with all the broken sites and all that. It appears Mozilla is very proud of this horrible new feature where, when you start typing, it moves the typing to the search bar for some strange disorienting reason. I have turned this ugly feature off with about:preference and about:config options before, but it now appears Mozilla is dead set on inflicting this terrible feature upon us and it can no long be turned off. It's also inconsistent. A fresh browser that opens to my home (DDG) page will search in the SEARCH BOX as appropriate. But any new tab, which also opens my home page (DDG) will search in the address box.

It's the straw that broke the camel's back. I've had it and will look to Chrome again and how to strip all the nasty privacy problems out of that. I'm not sure why Mozilla took their product in this dreadful direction and decided that users should not get choices anymore, but here we are. Farewell Firefox, I will miss you.

Hello. When booking a cruise with the cruise company it will not highlight anything so i can book cruise. Such as cruise dates, ships, departure, destinations, etc. The cruise company says its working on there end. I have used Firefox always to book a cruise and has always worked just fine. For some reason its not this time. I have cleared out my browsing data and cookies and sites. That did nothing at all. I refreshed Firefox. I then uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled. That did not work. I also opened in new private window and that did nothing either. So i tried and used Chrome it worked just fine. I also tried and used Edge and it also worked just fine. I would rather stay with Firefox. So any help would be appreciated. I did let cruise company know and there IT dept is looking into it. Thanks again.
