i am trying to move my bookmarks to better organize them. each move generates the message -- "assert: node must have_DOMElement set". i tried a google search. nothing available. does anyone at fire fox know what this is about? i moved two of the same bookmarks on IE ver 8 and do not encounter this message. your help search doesn't recognize it either.

Hi,
If I start to download a file when I'm in normal browsing mode, then for some reason switch to Private Browsing whilst the download is still in progress, the download does not show up in Private Browsing mode. I don't have any problem with that.
However, if I then return from Private Browsing mode, the download will fail. Are there any add-ons, work arounds or works in progress that will either:
a) Pause and stabilise the download upon switching to Private Browsing, and then resume the download when switching back to normal browsing mode?
or
b) Allow the download to continue whilst in Private Browsing mode and then allow you to switch back to normal browsing without the download failing?
Thanks in advance. Matt

1. Go to Youtube 2. Play a video 3. Open in fullscreen with mouse 4. Close fullscreen with mouse 5. open again fullscreen with mouse 6. Close fullscreen again with mouse 7. Press alt+left to go back (nothing happens. the focus seems to stay on the fullscreen flash maybe?) 8. Click outside of the flash and on an ampty space on the web page. Press space. 9. Now alt+left works for some reason.
This problem because also affects my mouse. I have configured my mouse to make a web browser, file explorer or any other application navigate back or forward when i tilt my scrolling wheel left or right. This is a very big comfort for me because I don't have to have my one hand on backspace to navigate, or move my mouse onto the back button. And since Firefox takes away this huge comfort, it is very (very very ...) annoying problem.
There is another weird thing but it is not a big problem. When a text box is focused in Firefox, every time I tilt my mouse wheel to navigate back or forward, a symbol appears inside the text box, before Firefox goes back or forward. - back ♦ - forward ♠
I am using a Logitech V450 Laser Cordless mouse.
Software: Logitech Setpoint Control Center - control center verison 4.60.122 - driver version 4.60.122
Logitech support: http://www.logitech.com/support_downloads
Still the main problem is with Alt+arrow navigation.
Another unrelated thing that i find a little annoying about Firefox is that when I scroll left or right with my touchpad, then instead of scrolling left or right, Firefox acts like I am repeatedly pressing the left or right key. It would be nice if it would just scroll left or right.
I still like Firefox a lot, Thanks!

I am using F-Secure Antivirus. It also includes a firewall. This firewall is a bit slow to understand exactly when a program is launched and so when I launch Firefox it blocks the Internet connection from Firefox for a second, before allowing the access to Internet. This is enough for Firefox to think that there is no connection at all, since it failed to connect to the homepage server.
This means every time I launch Firefox, I have to click the refresh button to load my homepage.
For some reason, when I lauch Firefox the first time after logging in to Windows, Firefox manages to load my home page. But every time after that Firefox fails.
Please make Firefox wait for a few seconds if it does not manage to connect to Internet right after starting Firefox so it won't show this stupid error page.
This problem does not occur in Internet Explorer and SRWare Iron.

I have another kind of problem with Firefox
At different websites, when I try to type a message into a text form box (Example: Fark.com comments section) the firefox browser will somehow move back 5-6-7 pages as if I had hit the back button by typing in the form. It happens on different websites. Sometimes instead of going back it zooms in or out tremendously. It happens one or two times per form and then just stops and lets me type in the text. It doesn't happen all the time, but it does happen at least a two times a day. What gives?!
A few times a week

This started happening a few weeks ago - maybe after a Firefox or Java update?
This does not happen on eBay.co.uk, by the way, just the US site.

I recently switched back from Safari to Firefox 3.6.4 on OS X 10.6. When typing into the Facebook "What's on your mind?" status field, neither the standard Cocoa begin/end keys (command-left, command-right) nor the Windows-style keys (home/end) have any effect. Oddly, command-shift-left and command-shift-right (select to beginning/end) work, as do Cocoa's emacs bindings (control-a, control-e).
It could be some Facebook JavaScript gone bad, but I've never seen a mass-market site that worked better in Safari than Firefox, so I wonder if there's something about my config that's the problem here?

Running Firefox 3.6.4 on KDE 3.5 on openSUSE Linux 11.0, running Adobe AIR TweetDeck v0.33.4. When I click on a shortened URL link in TweetDeck, such as to go to a YouTube video link, Firefox attempts to open the link from the cache, not go directly to the Web page. Result is something like: file:///var/tmp/kdecache-rhack/krun/30908.0.bBUGz0. So I get the YouTube or other Web page from the cache, not from the Web site. I'm not entirely sure if this a Firefox bug or a TweetDeck bug.
Not sure how often
