For about three weeks now, after restarting Firefox on my notebook, the bookmarks have always been displayed twice in the sidebar, although no changes have been made on my PC. Every time I have to delete the duplicate bookmarks. But then they appear twice on my PC. It just annoys me !!!

Hi, I wanted to install FF dev edition. How can I set what to sync before actaully syncing? I know I can change settings afterwards, but then everything has been synced already, and I don't want add-ons, book marks to sync.

Hello everyone, I hope this finds you healthy and safe! Thank you in advance for your help, it's much appreciated. I'm configuring a new computer that will replace my current one and while installing Firefox and turning on sync on the new computer I realized I forgot my Firefox account password and have been trying to reset it but I run into a funny issue. I go to the "forgot password" link and add my email address to get the "password reset" email which I do get. When I click on the link in the email, it takes me to the page where I can then enter my new password and then click on the "reset Password" button. I then enter my new password but when I click on the "Reset Password" button I get the error "Unable to deliver email". This is where I'm stuck. I cannot reset the password because it won't go passed the error. I've attached an image of what I get. Thanks again for your help, it's appreciated.

Hi, i reinstall my windows and lost all of my bookmarks. Also, i can't remember my firefox account's email on the previous windows. How can i restore my bookmarks? They are very important.

I have created a new profile from a copy of an existing profile.

The old profile is synced using OldProfileSyncEmail@etc as the email.

I don't want to sync the new profile. I want to remove the account from the sync nag box on the new profile, but I want to keep the account for use with the old profile.

Mozilla login bug:

I use another email address as login to mozilla pages: EmailForFirefoxPages@etc. This login is in Firefox 'logins & passwords"., with a different password.

I don't want to use my sync emails (which should be PRIVATE.) for forums, addons, bug reporting etc!

When I try to login to mozilla pages, the login box prepopulates with OldProfileSyncEmail@etc.

It stays prepopulated after I click "use another account".

It does not offer the correct email as an alternative, even after I DELETE the pre-populated email. (MOSTLY - one time it did???)

When I manually type in EmailForFirefoxPages@etc and click continue, the password box is STILL prepopulated with the WRONG PASSWORD - for OldProfileSyncEmail@etc. Which is NOT the password in Logins and Passwords for EmailForFirefoxPages@etc.

ACTIONS TAKEN:

I deleted the OldProfileSyncEmail@ login from logins&passwords, now the moz login box prepopulates with the correct (only) login. (But if I do that on my synced accounts, the sync won't be able to log in!??).

The sync nag box is still telling me to reconnect to the deleted sync email.

Delete the account. (It is used by other profiles to sync.)

How do I fix the ff login box in my old profile where I CANNOT delete the login.

How do I get rid of the old profile's address in the sync nag in my new profile.

Hello . Recently, I had a lot of problems with Mozilla due to a virus on my system, one of which was leaving my account for no reason. I was scared that my account would be changed because I thought it might have been hacked. Now I have reinstalled my video and my account is not connected at all and my devices that were connected to my account are not displayed. Please help, I need my users and passwords because I made most of the complex passwords with Mozilla.

Hi Sync is not working, i made a new fresh install, changed my password and on this mac and my mobile sync is not working, while in another laptop my preferences, passwords and everything are there. Now i'm afari to close the other laptop, i could change every password (and they are difficult to remember)

I get that I need to have certain addons only for the developer Version, but I've been having difficulty keeping up with what I need for one and ones that meet my specific needs otherwise. I can only type using one finger at a time due to my autism causing poor coordination. I've been having trouble keeping my gmail synced up in places and it's the mail one I use. But I can't sync my password to different devices as it always asks for a password I haven't used before. I am happy to keep the addons proper on the developer version, and not use it for anything until I ca get it set up without having to re-sync everything. Do you have a suggestion for limited motor ability?

Hello! Today I power on my computer and for some reason my Firefox account was not configured on the browser. I just logged in with my Firefox account and wait until it finishes syncing all. After a few minutes it finished "correctly". I said "Correctly" because I was very surprised when I detect that all my saved passwords were not being sync. I tried with another computer that has the same Firefox account and it has all the passwords, but nothing appears on my computer. I tried several things like restart computer, logout and login again, checked if key.db file exists on my home, etc but nothing works. I just found one difference between the devices (both are Linux and bot are Fedora): On the device that I can see all the passwords Firefox version is 73. On the device that I described before that I cannot see any password Firefox version is 76. Can it be affecting the sync? I'm worried about to update Firefox on the devices that passwords are being displayed and lost it on both devices.

My OS is Fedora 31 and my firefox version is 76.

I have my plugins synced through Firefox Sync. For development I'm using Firefox Developer Edition (FDE).

There are times I do not want to have all plugins en-/disabled in all browser. e.g. I don't need a form filler plugin all the time in my regular FF instance. But I mostly need it all day in the FDE instance.

Problem starts by disabling a plugin in the regular FF instance. Because this disables the plugin through sync in all other instances.

I'm looking for s possibility to disable plugins "locally". So only disable it for the currently running FF instance, and not propagate the state through sync.

A separate "DEV profile" might help, but I don't want to deal with sep. profiles, as the tabs would be synced in this different profile for example.

I can imagine that this is kind of an edge case scenario. But maybe somebody knows a way around this.

I tried for create 2 firefox account on a same laptop. When I realised that I cant do that then I uninstalled older version and reinstall firefox. then login my older firefox account but i dont find my older data in it. please help me. I had so many impotant bookmarks

When I updated my password I got a message in my E-Mail saying that I needed to login in the other devices I got my account in, the thing is I don't remember at all what devices I was logged in, I just remember about my virtual machine, wich I don't have anymore since I reinstalled my pc.

I reformated my pc. When i installed Firefox and tried to sync it asked for a code that was sent to my e-mail, but I can't access my e-mail. how can I recover my account if I can't access my e-mail? It's there any way to contact Firefox support to recover my account by other ways?

sir a few days ago i was setup my windows 10, then i can setup firefox browser and connect to email account then press sync button but it's can't work.please solve my problem because i have more importend bookmark.

I am using tenfourfox on my iMac g4 and Firefox for Mac on my MacBook Pro. I wanted to use the sync so I could share book marks and things with My iMac g4. I made the account on my Mac Book Pro and the went to sign in on My iMac g4. I entered my email then it came back with the unexpected error.

I looked at other posts from TenFourFox with those that had this error and they said it was on the sync side not software of TenFourFox.

Could you please help
