I'm using Firefox with Google as my default search engine. When ever I try to type in the Google search box, what I am typing appears in the address bar. I want to search in the Google search box as it is at eye level for what I am doing. I have tried all sorts of ideas from the web to fix this but no joy. Does anyone know how I disable this? I am experiencing a persistent issue with web browsers on my Lenovo Legion T5 26IAB running Windows 11 Home. Regardless of whether I use Mozilla Firefox, the browser frequently crashes. This happens at least once a day, and it seems to be unrelated to the number of tabs open or the specific content being viewed. I did the help -> diagnose mode without plugin and it crashed too, im not sure what this is realted to.

The crashes often present with an error message suggesting a failure in the new tabs or trying to load a old one, despite the fact that my system's RAM usage is typically around 60-70%. I have already updated the BIOS, Lenovo drivers, and NVIDIA graphics drivers, but the issue persists.

I'm seeking advice on what might be causing these browser crashes. Is it possible that there's a compatibility issue with Windows 11 Home? Could it be related to the graphics card or its drivers, even though they are up-to-date? I have not changed the power cable from my old PC; could this be a factor?

Any insights, suggestions, or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to determine if this is a hardware issue, a driver conflict, or something else entirely.

I have two end users that are having a different issues but they are of similar nature. First user can not upload anything to Microsoft Share point. She gets a message that says she does not have proper permissions to upload. She does not have the same issue on Chrome or Edge. The second user is trying to download and or save a file from a couple of different websites but regardless on where she tries to save it on her computer it says she does not have proper permissions to save to "x" file location. She also does not have this issue when she is on Chrome or Edge.

For both users I have tried clearing cache and cookies, Rebooting their computers, uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox, deleting registry keys/user data from the computer itself. I have had no luck with resolving this issue and I can not find anything online that remotely resembles this issue.

My laptop died. I purchased a new one and pulled the SSD drive from the dead laptop and hooked it up to the new laptop with a SATA to USB cable and have access to the drive now. How do I pull all the information that was in Firefox (bookmarks, open tabs when laptop died, etc.) from the old drive to the new laptop?

I use firefox with duckduckgo as my search engine.Every search was becoming so slow so I went to settings and deleted cookies and site data thinking this would unclog things. Now I cant access any site. Is there a way to reinstate this data?

Hi, I used to be able to go to my email with Foxfire Mozilla with one click. Now I have to go to gmail, click on user name, insert my password twice, and then go to my phone to click on "yes, it is me" and sometimes before that enter a code, and then go to update securty all before I can read my email. I don't need any of this; I am the only user of my account and the only person who uses my computer. I am very unhappy with this. Also, just recently I now have lots of popups, most about music. It isn't even advertising, that I could understand, just annoying boxes of useless information that I have to dismiss. What is going on?,

I am unable to login to the DVLC. I get as far as the enter reg number of a car to check it,s been taxed. Then after I input the reg number the next page tell me it is an insecure page. This also happens on my laptop. On both desktop and laptop I am using firefox with duck duck go as an add on. However. In using my mobile with the stand alone duck duck go browser, I can log in and complete the task. This points to a problem with Firefox. Any advice's. This seems to be recent as I have used the laptop and desktop to use the check for a taxed car system ok in the past.

I have attached images of what slowly occurs when I don't clear my cookies, websites start to slowly and slowly load less and less until they eventually completely break and wont load and I have to clear my cookies, resign into everything. and rinse and repeat every few days or a week, I also attached an image of what the purchase screen is supposed to look like. I was having some hard drive trouble so I formatted my pc. I did not think much of the browser favorites and tabs because they should have been synced.

This time, however, I seem to be unable to retrieve the data from my old computer, there is even a computer in my synced items (I'm hoping from the system before restoring, windows 11 on what used to be windows 10) but am unable to get anything from it, or see the history ect

Firefox (a new up-to-date install) has been very crashy on my new computer -- PC running Windows 11.

I ran troubleshooting mode and it shows 0 crash reports.

On my old computer, I had 4 Firefox windows open, a half dozen extensions, ~200 tabs and it was quite stable. This brand new install is running one window, 3 extensions, a dozen tabs open, and freezes and crashes pretty much every time I try to read my email (or do anything else that involves clicking).

How do get a stable Firefox?

When I right click on an image and select "save as", after selecting where to save it and then selecting save, firefox just hangs and is completely unresponsive, leaving me having to terminate it through task manager. No error message ever come up, Firefox just freezes.

Hello, My Antivirus sofware (GData Internet security) showed the attached message (in German) two times today. It says in English something like:

It was tried to access an infected archive

Virus: Trojan.GenericKD.71195125 (Engine A) File: 0B3C6E11DBBC160A3AAFC100C8BAB878F5EE0C Directory: C:\Users\re-ge\AppData\Local\Mozilla Firef Process: firefox.exe

The line ending with "Firef" may indicate that lines are truncated.

Any suggestion what to do ? Reinhard
