Hello, I've noticed a change since the last update and don't understand why?

When opening the bookmarks tab I would get the drop down of a long list of links I have saved. I sometimes bunch them into groups so when looking down the long list, I can see the link I want better when more than one are from the same website.

But my issue is that when I went through the list and found that group of links, I could click onto one to open the page. In the past before the update I could click on the bookmarks drop down again, and still see the same area of links I had just clicked on.

Now when the bookmarks drop down closes it defaults to the top of the list and I need to scan down to find the links I was looking at again. Why? Yes when I closed the browser off and reopened it the bookmarks list would start at the top again. But if left opened I could click on the bookmarks tab and it would open to the same link area I clicked onto last.

Is there a way in settings I can reverse this annoying, unnecessary change.

A word to the Firefox workers that like changing things for no reason. I use Firefox because I like the things your browser has that the others don't. Keep taking the little things away that people like, which you seem to keep doing, then my favourite browser will just become "The same old s#*@" like all the others.

How to retrieve lost bookmark folders. I can see all my folders but I'm unable to retrieve them by Click the Firefox button and then Bookmarks. Click Import and Backup >> Restore. Then select the most recent bookmarks backup or click Choose File to select an older backup file located in the directory. The Backups don't contain all my folders. I need to restore all the folder depicted in the left data column.

today and everything has changed. My bookmarks are gone, or at least I cannot find them and I cant find anything in my Word account. This is very troubling. Solution please. Were changes made in the last 48 hours?

Thank you, Firefox, for rendering the Bookmarks completely dysfunctional for all but the simplest of users. I have thousands of bookmarks well organized in folders and sub-folders. Now I cannot reach the bookmarks in the sub-folders beyond the first fly-out because it never shifts the mouse focus to the fly-out sub-folder. This is a CRITICAL ISSUE that makes trying to use my carefully compiled bookmarks nearly impossible. HELP!!!

I got on my computer and randomly lost all my bookmarks. I have tried to restore them but havent been able to using methods listed in the support articles. I cant figure out how or why they would all disappear.

Hello –– I recently updated Firefox for my MacBook Pro, and upon doing so, lost all of my bookmarks and add-ons, including Zotero, which is critical to my work as an academic.

Any advice for re-loading my bookmarks and Zotero add-on is greatly appreciated.

Latest update has trashed firefox. I cannot get my bookmarks menu listed. So I have to SO INCONVENIENTLY go to the 'library' to access my bookmark menu which always showed up on the left hand side of my screen. There is nothing now to allow me to do this. If I can't organize my bookmarks I might just have to find a new browser.

My old Lenovo broke down and I just installed Firefox on a new one. I thought it would be easy to just login to my Firefox account and sync the bookmarks to the new computer. NOT? After reading support articles about "sync", it seems that the only way to sync bookmarks is through accessing the old computer? Is this for real? Or is there a workaround??

I got an update to version 110.0.1 and on opening it, all my bookmarks, passwords, and such are gone. It seems to be asking me to start an entirely new install of Firefox and asks for the import of bookmarks from another browser (fortunately I use another browser). Am I missing someting? This isn't an update if that's what it does. I can't see any obvious way to fix it.

I updated to the latest Firefox version and each time restart and open a web page only to find that all my bookmarks have been deleted. Do you have a resolution for this?

I have reverted back to a previous version in interim and everything works fine.

I decided to change my OS, and before it, I clicked "Sync" in my Firefox account. When I installed another OS, I logged in my Firefox account. And... None of my data restored (bookmarks, passwords...). I did not make data export as a file because I trusted this deal to my Firefox account. How do I restore my data?

I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 on a new, blank m.2 drive (my computer didn't have a TPM until I added it) and my intent was to be able to access the Windows 7 OS as needed (old apps). I haven't been able to boot back to Win7 since the upgrade. I need the bookmarks from the old install. I can access the old drive. I did not export the bookmarks recently in the old OS. Is there a way to move the bookmarks to the new OS? Firefox was recently upgraded on Win7.

Hi Where can I find firefox bookmarks on a pc without having exported them first my pc failed and I have a backup of the computers file structure so I cannot open firefox on the old computer. Does anyone know which folder the bookmarks are stored in Thanks

Firefox updated today and all of my previous bookmarks are gone. How can I get these back? The latest backup on my computer is from 2020 so that is not an option. My browser information/bookmarks was working perfectly when I closed out last night. I need that information.
