[article] This article claims there is an "AI Controls" section in Settings. This is not found in v 147.03 (up to date) for Mac. Please let me know how to disable all AI in Firefox.

I have the latest version of Firefox. I still keep getting the prompts to download the latest version. When I go to system info, it shows I have the latest version it is asking me to download. When I do a manual search for the latest version, it always says it failed to search for the latest download.

Mozilla made an update of my Firefox installation on my Win11 laptop. all my password disappeared as well as my history and bookmarks.

I have now a virgin installation and is starting from scratch.

Now I get this error message: "This profile was last used with a newer version of this application. Please create a new profile." I deleted met shortcut and I opened Firefox by using Windows search. Now I see 4 profiles! I think I do not need to create a new profile. Maybe delete 3 of them ? What to do ? And, how?

j'ai l'habitude de faire mes recherches sur la barre de recherche centrale et non sur l'url. Bien que le curseur soit positionné dessus, je ne peux pas y écrire, je suis redirigée sur l'url. J'ai bien mis à false la ligne qui convient dans about:config, mais ce n'est toujours pas possible. Que faut il faire ?

In a thread discussion about the flag, "browser.tabs.unloadOnLowMemory" dated 23-Nov-2022 (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=33706117) it was mentioned that we've disabled tab unloading on Linux because low-memory detection just didn't work.

Has the issue been fixed? Does the low-memory detection work in Linux? Can it be enabled now?

Does it get triggered when SWAP is being used? Or when system free RAM falls say to about 25% of total physical RAM?

Firefox is my default browser, but often shows my location wrong in my home location. Google chrome and maps shows it correctly. Please tell me where firefox thinks I am and how I might correct it.

With the old FIREFOX Start/home page I could have up to 4 lines of bookmarks showing on my start up/home page, but now there are only 8 showing. Can I add more, and if so how? Thanks

I've been searching for three days now for a solution that will work to restore my profile from a crashed windows-7 machine to my new windows-11. Nothing listed in any forum or help desk works as described. I used to be able to just rename the folder to the exact file name on the new PC, but windows 11 won't let me do anything. It always needs admin permissions and even after I activated the admin account and assigned a password, I still cannot copy to the folder or rename the folder. Every attempt to do this on W-11 fails. It shouldn't be that hard and I'm tired of wasting days playing with this. I have important bookmarks, passwords etc. I want restored, and I need help. Nobody wants to pick up a phone anymore to assist!

I have never used "sync" because I have multiple PCs and each used for different applications and yes some go back to W-7, the operating system that actually worked well. Each PC has Firefox and a distinct bookmark file.

I went to "about:profiles" and created a new profile thinking I could copy to the new folder, but when i switched profiles I couldn't get back to the original default! HELP!

I cannot find how to add a New Bookmark to an existing bookmark folder from the screen when I am visiting a Website I wish to Bookmark. Should be simple, but I cannot find out how to do it. There is no simple drop down menu that says ADD BOOKMARK and give you a choice of what folder to save it in. HELP !!!!!!!!

I can't sign in to gmail as I used to for years. (It works ok when I use Private Browsing, but that's inconvenient.)

WHAT USED TO HAPPEN: when I was at the sign in page, my password manager (Dashlane) filled in the username and then a screen asking to use the passkey. I said yes, and got in to Google with no problem.

NOW: the password manager fills in my username (my name at gmail.com) and when I hit "NEXT" in the sign in field I get email or phone l.com When I click in the field that disappears and my username appears. When I hit NEXT it goes back to "email or phone l.com". Same when I hit return. Same when I enter my phone number. SO maybe it's Dashlane (my password manager)? But when I disable that and TYPE my username (or phone number) in the field, same stuff happens.

BUT when I use a private browser window, the gmail sign in works as before, and so that's what I've been using -- but it's not convenient having 2 windows open. Before it was just a tab in one window. What changed? Why? Can I change it back? Thanks!

I am unable in run the installer for the updated version of Firefox on my android desktop. Are you able to help me?
