I would like assistance to enable javascript. Chase bank says in orderto perform activities, I need javascript. So, do other sites. I never had this problem before 2 weeks ago. Not sure what is causing this. I tried following instructions online that said I had to get to Firebox 'configure' box, but the instructions were too vague, bc I didn't see the prompters they said I should choose from? Please advise. Thanks!

I look around a LOT on FB Marketplace. Since the latest update, I cannot see the individual listings when I click on them. There might be an extremely brief flash, then the screen goes solid white. I have no problems in OTHER browsers and this has occurred only after the latest Firefox update. Do I have to abandon Firefox completely or is there some way to fix this?

I recently changed to Firefox from chrome and the focus on security and privacy was a much needed upgrade. However, every time I close my windows I'm logged out of all my accounts. I checked all the settings that would have that effect even escalating it to a clean install and unfortunately nothing works. After checking the support forums this setting seemed to be the one that fixed things, attached is a screenshot showing that its unchecked and that there is cookie data stored, so I'm really at a loss.

I keep getting a 403 error message when trying to access the British Airways website. This is the first time I have encountered this, although it is perhaps 3 years since I last flew BA. I have cleared my cache and cookies. I have also tried to access the same ba.com site using Edge - with the same error message. This suggests that the problem may lie with BA. However, they have no technical support that I can reach. So I do not know what to do next. I use Kaspersky anti-virus and Malwarebytes to screen for malware. I have never maximized a Firefox window and I never will. After the latest update, all new windows, whether they are opened from another page via right-click or directly from the toolbar icon, open in a maximized view. I do not want this. Is there a way to prevent your program from inserting itself directly on top of everything else I'm working on? Have I accidentally changed a setting I cannot find again? I'd like to know if I need to find a new browser.

Firefox is running x 8 in my task manager at the moment. Why does it keep multiplying and slowing down my computer? I am almost ready to uninstall Firefox. If I merely need to revert to an earlier version of Firefox, please let me know how to do that. Thank you. Shannon

I've created 22 themes and in all of them the drop down menus such as "downloads", "history", "extensions", and "application menu", all became white instead of dark like they used to be. I really don't want to go through the process of fixing and reuploading them, I'd apprecate you looking into this and hopefully fixing it with a simple update. Please fix this problem, thank you!

Hello, I've got a reproduction issue on France TV live programs which I watch through nordvpn. The picture keeps "jumping" fast up and down in a very bothering way. This doesn't happen when the video is NOT live. I run the latest version of LINUX MINT. What can I do to fix it? The only way I found to stop the issue is to take down the resolution of the live video to its minimum which gives me a disastrous picture but stops the "jumping". I guess you might say there is something wrong with my GPU. The point is that my PC is brand new with an AMD 5600G, new MB, 16Gb of RAM and 500w of PSU. BUT more than anything I have to say that everything WORKS FINE with CHROME. I like FIREFOX I have been using it literally for decades now. (I'm 75). Is there a solution? Here we go again.... I have been watching Amazon Prime Videos on my Mac and also my HP computers for a long time. About 3 weeks ago, when I tried to stream a video, it would not start and I got an error message that the video was not available. After trying both computers, many times over the 3 weeks, I have gotten the same results. Amazon says it is the Firefox browser that is the problem and want me to install Chrome, which I DO NOT WANT on my computer. Can you fix the problem or help in any way?

Usually I don't properly close my applications before rebooting or shutting down my machine. Firefox then restores my previous session, which I don't want.

I've tried the following but this didn't work:

• Verify "Open previous windows and tabs" isn't checked
• set `browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes` to 0
• set `browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash` to false

Do you have any idea, why this doesn't work? or any other ideas how I could disable this?

I can't seem to be able do disable search suggestions, or at least make them appear after my bookmarks and browsing history, i.e. I used to be able to type "gm" and the first option would be my Gmail, not a google search for those letters.

If "provide search suggestions" is on, the box to show them "ahead of browsing history in address bar results" is greyed out and can't be toggled; if it is off, then the sub-option turns on.

This makes the autocompletion feature basically useless.

Is there some other way to change this? I've tried restarting the browser after a settings change, with no luck.

I have two computers. One (this one) was down for repair, but it is operative again. A website I use has a popup music player. It works fine on the other computer. Popups are enabled on this computer, but the player does not work. The pop up opens, but the player never appears. Any ideas as to a solution?

I have been a loyal Firefox user for many many years. I lost count. I have gone so far as to uninstall Edge from my computer. BUTTTTTTTTTTTTT. Your recent updates are leading me to switch over to Chrome. With your recent updates, I now have to run Firefox in trouble shooting mode in order to be able to access and make my payments in my PayPal account. It now completely messes up my PayPal screen. And, most recently, now I have to click to make a YouTube video play on initial launch. Each time I open a new video, it pauses and I have too click on it to make it play. AND, don't tell me to go check and set the "autoplay" settings. THAT DOES NOT work. So until you guys can show me how to revert back to a previous version of Firefox that worked.. I AM SWITCHING OVER TO CHROME. In my opinion... I consider what you have recently done to me is a VIRUS.. you broke something that worked.. Especially my PayPal stuff

I have a problem on YouTube where videos are too bright, but when i click for example to save that video to watch later it has normally saturated colors. And I'm using windows. On photo example1 video is too bright, but on example2 it is normal. thanks for help

My daily backups of my personal account on a ubuntu-derived system are enormous. The first problem I found was the directory .cache, full of kinds of things that change daily and don't belong in a backup. I eliminated this directory from the backups, halving their size. So far so good. But the incremental backups are still huge, even on days where I've barely used the system at all.

The next biggest questionable directory is .mozilla/firefox/05malccw.default-release and in particular .mozilla/firefox/05malccw.default-release/storage

$ du -sh .mozilla/firefox/05malccw.default-release/storage 2.2G .mozilla/firefox/05malccw.default-release/storage

It's pretty clear what program creates this and regularly changes it contents. Examining the files suggests that most or all of them are useless in a data-recovery type situation. But I'm not sure.

What's in this directory? Will the path change when I update to a new version of firefox, using normal ubuntu tools? Is there an rsync pattern I can use to identify all possible directories with this function, so as to teach my backup script to ignore not only the current directory, but the one I'll get when I next update firefox?

Are there other directories created/populated by firefox that shouldn't be in backups, besides .mozilla/firefox/05malccw.default-release/ and .cache/mozilla ?

Note that I'm on an ubuntu derivative, using the packages from the distro repositories; it's more than possible that paths are determines at build time, by the people who configure and build those packages.
