Firefox’s built-in translation feature actively gets in the user’s way.

When translation is actually needed, it often does not offer the translation function at all.

Google sometimes links to Reddit pages that have been automatically translated into Korean by AI.

That specific page appears in Korean, but when you go back to the Reddit homepage, it appears in English.

However, Firefox’s built-in translator still recognizes the site as a Korean website.

Even though all the page content is in English, the translator incorrectly offers the option “Korean → English” instead of the correct direction.

There needs to be a shortcut or option that always translates “English → Korean” when the user wants it.

Firefox should not decide when to translate or which language to translate. That choice should belong to the user.

Additionally, a dedicated keyboard shortcut for translation is needed.

I used the built-in translator for a while, but the inconvenience became so significant that I gave up and reinstalled a translation add-on.

Is this the right place to post this suggestion?

Hello Mozilla Firefox Team,

I would like to request that Firefox include the Somali language for website translation.

I choose Firefox because I have been told it is more secure, but currently, it does not support Somali. This makes it difficult for me to read news and websites in my native language.

Adding Somali support would provide a better user experience for Somali speakers and improve access to online information. It would also encourage me and others to continue using Firefox as our preferred browser.

Firefox: Sprache ein Mischmasch aus Deutsch/Englisch. Trotz dass die Einstellungen nur auf Deutsch, sind die Menüs in Englisch! Wie bekomme ich es hin, dass ALLES nur in Deutsch ist?

German language pack not available :( manually downloaded verisons of german Language pack are incompatible.

Hello,all, The built-in translation button in Firefox disappeared on the Reddit website.

Please add a fixed access key for the 'Translate button'. I also recommend introducing an automatic website translation function. Thank!

translate wont work , i have 2 pc win 10 pro , same IP in china , on 1 pc is workking , but on the other one it wont , i did new install , refresh , disabled add-ons exc , my language set to english and i need to translate chinese intoo english please help thanks

My primary google account's language is set to english. If I search normally, then the results are shown in english. If I open a private window and search in google, the results will try to be in the regional english and google asks if I want to switch to english every time.

Below are two attached images, please take a look. From my understanding there are two different translation features built into firefox, you can identify them by looking at the attached screenshots. I very much dislike the translation features which has the "page icon". The other option which looks like an "alphabet icon" and has "EN" attached to it is very much welcome. I want to add this translation feature to the toolbar, however when i open up the "customize toolbar option" there is no translation feature available. How can i add it? I do remember that in previous firefox version, the translation feature was pinned to the very right of the bar.

It works in Chromium 139 , Firefox ESR 128 , and latest WPS Office. HOW IF A CHINESE USER CANNOT TYPE CHINESE IN LATEST NIGHTLY (Debian forky/sid ,Linux kernel 6.16-rc7-amd64)

I've tried to install the language pack for english to have swedish and english spelling checked on my computer. I've added it like the discription mentions but it doesn't show as an option when I try to change it.
