I have started receiving a secure connection failed error message for a portal log-in website that worked fine for the past 6-7 months (see attached document). Other people in my group use Firefox and Bitdefender to access the portal and none of them are having this issue.

I originally believed the problem to be my anti-virus (Bitdefender) and worked with them to resolve the problems. After trying various solutions including clearing my cache, using private mode and turning off different components of their software, Bitdefender believes the problem is with my browser setting and not their software. I also tried accessing the portal using Chrome in both regular and incognito modes and cannot access the site which would seem to rule out the problem being a Firefox browser problem but contacting Firefox support seems to be the next logical step.

I have been to the Firefox FAQ and saw similar problems with potential solutions - DNS over HTTPS, TLSKEYLOGGING issues, add-on exceptions - none of which worked. I have the most recent version of Firefox and am running Windows 11 home version.

Sometimes if I hit refresh after receiving the error message, the browser will try to connect and I will get a server time out message. If I keep hitting "try again", sometimes the portal log-in screen will appear and allow me to log-in. The key word is "sometimes" since often I just keep getting the server time out message.

Any ideas for me to try from this forum?

Beginning today, I suddenly cannot access numerous websites when I use Mozilla Firefox 151.0.2. Examples include Amazon, and Google, et al. Attempts to do so consistently fail at the point of performing a TLS handshake, when I am advised that "secure connection failed". Kindly refer to the attached screenshots. I have no difficulty whatsoever accessing the same websites when I use other browsers, such as Google Chrome and MS Edge. I previously had Mozilla Firefox enabled as my default browser, but I have had to change this, given these "challenges". Please advise how I can fix this. Best regards and many thanks.

The browser prohibits access to the social network https://vk.com/ . The browser leaves a response: "Firefox has discovered a potentially significant security issue id.vk.com . Someone impersonating the site may try to steal data such as bank card details, passwords, or email addresses".

12 hours ago Firefox stopped working .No reason ; no changes just the following message including access to this site.So now I have to access with edge . Secure Connection Failed

The issue is most likely with the website, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it. You can notify the website’s administrator about the problem.

This is the message I get:

Secure Connection Failed An error occurred during a connection to www.gyroscopereview.com. SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length.

Because other users (including people who use Firefox) are able to reach this site with no problem, I hope someone can tell me what the issue might be. Thanks

If I try to log into my router at 192.168.1.1 I get a message that says "Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead". I expect that, but when I click on the Advanced button it doesn't do anything. Works fine with Chrome, so not my router or anti-virus. ???

Windows 10 Firefox 148.0

All of a sudden almost every site I try to enter comes up with "Secure Connection Failed". This started happening on Friday, July 10th for the first time. I've read almost every article in the Firefox's community forums and tried multiple actions and nothing stops this. I don't know why this all of a sudden when it never did this before. I hope someone can tell me how to stop this from happening].

It is very annoying to not be able to have acces to my scholarship, my accommodation, or just my whole student services in general even if they are websites from the french government. I cannot bypass the mozilla security risk warning so I'm asking for some help here. the website is https://messervices.etudiant.gouv.fr/

it would be a great update to be able to go past the warnings in the future, being unable to do so forces users to switch of browser, especially when you cannot have acces to such websites which are essential for students

In this case I accessed my Acer account and clicked on my notebook. I then got the screen shown in the image. I could access the page with Opera, Chrome, and Edge.

This is happening a lot, and is rendering Firefox unusable as my default browser.

Dear Mozilla Support, I would like to ask about Firefox's plans regarding the recent changes affecting SSL/TLS certificates for websites hosted in Russia. As you may know, several international Certificate Authorities have announced that they will revoke or stop issuing trusted certificates for Russian domains. This may cause many legitimate websites to become inaccessible in browsers because their certificates are no longer trusted by the default root store. I understand that Mozilla places a strong emphasis on web security and maintaining a trusted certificate ecosystem. However, I would like to know whether Mozilla has considered any technical solution or mitigation for users who may need to access these websites. For example:

• Is Mozilla planning to provide any workaround or optional feature that would allow users to continue accessing such websites safely?
• Will Firefox receive any updates or patches related to this situation?
• Is the current recommendation simply to manually install additional trusted root certificates, or is there another supported approach?

I am  interested in understanding whether there are any official plans or recommendations for users affected by these certificate changes.

I'm trying to access livingshield.org? When I try to access this website, I keep receiving secured connection failed. I need to access this website to register for courses

As the title says, with both with https and http firefox displays this warning:

But no way to bypass it, trying to login to my ubiquiti edgerouter at http://192.168.1.1 or https://192.168.1.1

What can i do?
