Firefox is saving all of my files on my desktop. how do i fix this????

Why does Firefox take wild guesses at what folder I want something save to. I just downloaded 108 files to the same folder and Firefox never caught onto where I wanted to save these files. It just kept pitching randome "default" folders all over my computer. How can this possibly be a desirable behavior?

Hi. I'd like to know that there is a way to stop download torrent files and just let my torrent client /qbittorrent/ handle it. Even after i set it to open them with qbittorrent Firefox still downloads those files. I mean can delete them manually, but it is quite annoying.
Why doesn't Firefox ask me where to save a potential file when in Settings, "Always ask you where to save files" is checked?
